Product Reviewed: Datto RMM
What do you like best about Datto RMM?

DattoRMM is an incredibly complete RMM product with extensive features that will greatly increase the effectiveness of providing support to any business. There are too many features to go through in this review but the ones that really affected us are as follows.

- Network scanning. We can scan the network with just one agent being installed. You get a beautiful tree view that you can navigate and move around, or you can get a standard list of IPs.

- Device details. You get a full technical review of each device added to the system. You can see all hardware specifications, event log issues, patch status, software installed (and you can click to uninstall), network information, performance metrics, endpoint security and much more.

- Remote Control. You get three different ways that you can connect to a computer which gives you great redundancy when one doesn't work. You have access to advanced tools to let you do most of your work in the background while the user is still working.

- Automation and maintenance. This is crucial for us and this DattoRMM delivers. The options to setup automatic patching and updates are logically placed in menus that make sense. It was really easy to get familiar with the setup process and had this process running smoothly in no time. The best part is that you can see the results of the patching and get access to errors that you can then review to make adjustments.

- Scripts. There is an extensive library of scripts and it accepts different script languages. There is also a community that you can access to get even more scripts if you don't know how to create one.

- All menus make sense and you can navigate through easily. I don't get lost on them as I did with my old program.

- Dashboards. Dashboards are highly customizable as you can move items around in the screen and add or remove from their library. very cool. Each technician can have their own customized dashboard. You can also have multiple dashboards.

- Microsoft 365 Integration. You can access your Microsoft accounts and manage your clients right from your RMM. This is a feature that usually costs extra, however it is included.

Datto RMM features are extensive and offers great flexibility with an easy to use system. As if that wasn't enough, their support is excellent. You can get someone on an online chat easily to get fast answers to your questions.

Implementation was easy as you have several options. We are really happy with this program and would recommend it to any company.

What do you dislike about Datto RMM?

The feature I like the least was the setup of Microsoft 365. Unfortunately, the process to integrate Microsoft to any RMM is complex due to the different security rules Microsoft has in place. However, Datto's support was very helpful and I was able to get up and running without too much trouble. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Datto Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)?

What do you dislike about Datto Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)?

We were sold on Datto EDR and Datto AV being well integrated together and with Datto RMM. What we found, after paying several hundred dollars for a useless onboarding meeting that came 2 weeks after we signed up, was a giant mess. To call Datto RMM and Datto EDR/AV integrated is a stretch at best. Even within the EDR platform, the AV was BARELY functional. It's getting better, but we were sold on the product as if it was ready. Instead we found that it was in Alpha. Basic processes didn't work, there wasn't even an AV exclusions list when we were onboarded. EVERY SINGLE TIME I sign into Datto EDR I wish we hadn't signed that contract. It's made me question whether I want to use any Kaseya products at all once our contract is up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
