## itslearning Reviews
  ### 1. itsLearning is a great Program for Educators

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan T. | teacher, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2020

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I love that I can see exactly when students log in and how long they have spent on every activity. I especially love the progress reporting done on the students and the class as a whole. I particularly like how easy it is to integrate with other programs like Google Classroom and so many other apps. It is super easy to create tasks and plans. A great feature is how itsLearning will grade it all for you (with the exception of written responses). In addition, it pours right into my grade book. The communication link to message students is easy also.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

It is not as easy to jump into as Google classroom - but I attribute that to it has so many more features. It also is not the easiest to set up and maneuver through. It can be confusing to set up and for kids to follow. I found difficulty with how to view individual student items but I found a way - just took a lot of practice.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

ItsLearning is a great program but I would recommend that you buy inot the entire prpgram where you can utilize ALL of the addons or itegration of Google. There are quite a few things we teachers at my school found out which whas the school system did not buy the entire itsLearning package and so our graded things in itsLearning do NOT transfer into our gradebooks and a lot of our Google Docs change format when transferring or integrating within the program. DO utilize the support though. The more you use itsLearning, the easier it gets.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that I can set activities where students can have multiple tries - not just one. I am a special ed teacher and so I have solved the problem of having my kids dumped into one whole class by being able to form small groups within a class and modify their assignments. As far as benefits - kids can see deadlines EASILY, they can see the plans ahead and announcements. I like that EVERYTHING can be in one place as far as lesson planning, gradebook, rosters, apps, etc. It really is chock full of educational tools!!!!

  ### 2. Difficult to Use - Nonsensical Process for Teachers to follow

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackie W. | Multiple Disabilities Teacher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

The student view appeared to work well. Students could see what they needed to complete, as well as find classes easily. I liked that the courses were large color coded blocks, this was easy for students to use.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

Without proper training, parents had difficulty using itslearning to find and check assignments. Files were sometimes difficult to find and open, and sometimes did not work. From the teacher side, it was extremely hard to use. There were multiple nonsensical steps needed to complete in order to upload documents, create lesson plans, and open plans that were previously uploaded by curriculum coaches and district office.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Itslearning is solving the traditional online learning problem of needing a learning management system where all things can be found by students. Itslearning is a very basic LMS.

  ### 3. My experience with itslearning as a LMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

Itslearning provides a great layout to access your courses, message teachers, participate in group discussions with the discussion posts, and much more.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

From my location, itslearning can sometimes be really slow. I think it is because the nearest server for us is congested or does not have enough bandwidth. If this was resolved, it would be great.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to easily manage and chat with my classmates, teachers, and with the school via the course management.

  ### 4. It’s learning review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I like the multiple features and the different views you are able to utilize. I like the customized features

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

It sometimes crashes after too many users

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This makes data collection, grading and communication very seamless

  ### 5. Itslearning Makes E-learning Easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

A few of my favorite things are online tests, Google Integration, and assignments. With online tests, it cuts down on my grading time and my students like immediate feedback. Google integration has made it easy for students to complete a Google assignment and it organizes it in a Google folder in my drive rather than students having to share all of their copies with me. I also like that I can add anything on Itslearning and my class has immediate access. It makes learning much more efficient. With assignments, I like that I can give quick feedback verbally or written out. Anther thing that I really like is being able to hyperlink everything in the tree because we are currently on week 23 and we have a folder for each week, a folder for each day inside of that, and a page for each class inside of that, which is all neatly linked on the homepage for them.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

I dislike that Testing mode does not work on our school Chromebooks, so there is a worry of students opening other tabs and cheating during tests. I also dislike that when making copies of a folder to use for a different week, I have to go in and individually "create own copy" of the pages. I wish that there was an option for automatically creating separate copies when making the copy of the entire folder. This takes a lot of time when copying an entire week's worth of class pages over.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

I think it is a fantastic tool for school districts or organizations to use. I also know that we use it to house materials for teachers such as district documents, training videos, etc. that can be accessed when it is convenient. This has made things more accessible for all.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have had Skype sessions with Itlsearning and a couple of my students to see possible changes to the newest platform. My students shared that they liked the landing page with boxes of each course rather than having to search for it in the courses dropdown arrow. I love that Itslearning works with BCSC, my school district to make changes that will benefit our users. The Google integration and new home page for students evolved from these conversations in the past. Students really enjoy getting to have those meetings.

  ### 6. Not the most efficient LMS

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I like the fact that I can view who submitted one and at what time very easily. I also like the fact that I can put in due dates and my students can have that populated on their task bars.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

I don’t like the fact that if you create a test and making mistake, you cannot fix the mistake on the answer key once the students have already taken the test. Therefore, you must go in there and manually re-score. Also, when you add a rubric to a test, the rubric appears on top of an essay for example. You cannot score the essay and click on the rubric because it’s in the way.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

I also use blackboard. While blackboard is more cumbersome, at least you have more options. It’s learning is simple, but lacks the various options

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems I am solving with itslearning is students are now online and we need a management system to create and assess assignments. The benefits I have realized is organizational wise.

  ### 7. A bug festival

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2021

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

E-learning in general is great and this platform has a simple design which is good.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

It has a lot of annoying bugs which makes me tired and frustrated.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am learning a short introduction to programming.

  ### 8. A Big Thanks!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mindy S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

Finally! I have been in education for over 20 years, I am so thankful to finally have a system that connects me to students in a way that helps us all learn and grow together. I really enjoy messaging the students and having a platform for them to message me their questions, concerns, and comments as well. I can share learning materials with them and assess them on itslearning as well. Having access to learning materials is a huge obstacle that itslearning helps us to overcome, so thank you from a classroom teacher who benefits from using itslearning every day.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

I dislike when we have snow days from school instead of e-learning days because itslearning makes elearning days a snap!

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are breaking down barriers of access and communication by using itslearning. I have realized that students having access to materials online gives them the choice of access that they desire. As far as communication, itslearning messaging system allows teachers to receive student feedback in real-time and since the messages can be a group or private, we can be sensitive and culturally aware in our communications.

  ### 9. Student Ownership

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarabeth F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

Everything is centrally located! Having students turn in assignments, projects, & tests/quizzes digitally makes grading so much faster!

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

Requires students to have internet access

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything (textbook chapters, daily plans, documents, worksheets, videos, test/quizzes, activities, polls, surveys, games!) can be uploaded, accessed, &/or completed AND turned in through itslearning. Students can take control of their learning. They don't need to ask me "What did we do yesterday?" because they know they can find it on our course page. They don't have to ask me "for a copy of that one worksheet we did" because they can find copies on our resource page, download them, type right into them, and upload them back to me!
Students feel empowered and encouraged about their learning. I spend less time tracking down papers to get absent students caught up.

  ### 10. Essential Classroom Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

The messaging feature is a great way for my high school students to address concerns or ask questions and then receive answers from the teacher. Download the itsLearning app and allow notifications in your phone settings. This way my students can have access to instructional material but I do not have to share my personal contact information.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

I don’t care for the way that all my class info hav to be accessed through the “resources” tab. I liked having a home page for students to land on. I still have that but I had to create it under the resources tab and then fix the settings for the way students view it.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am reducing the amount of paper used since students can submit assignments digitally.

  ### 11. Updates improved LMS, but still not intuitive

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I use ItsLearning to organize my class resources and enjoy the "plan" feature where I can organize the daily materials.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

ItsLearning is missing a level of intuitive design for those using modern technology. Most of the program feels like it is an Excel spreadsheet rather than an LMS. There are no accent or special character features, which means there has to be a lot of copy/paste.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Itslearning helps when my students missed a day of class. They can go back to that day on the plan and see what they missed.

  ### 12. Many Great Features, but a Few Suggestions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

itsLearning provides a platform for many types of resources/courses, as well as an infrastructure that allows for connectivity to other programs such as Google Drive and Google Classroom. The program gives teachers a lot of flexibility of the types of resources provided for students, as well as, the ability to create resources within the platform. Overall, the intent of the platform is fantastic and useful.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

The itsLearning platform is not intuitive to parents. As an educator, I understand where things are, as well as how to get to them. Our parents frequently struggle to understand where resources are located. The parent login view is very different from the student login view, and I think they should look almost identical. Parents can't see what the student sees unless they use their student's login.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

It's a great platform to provide a lot of resources in one place. It provides parents, students, and teachers for one common place to look when needed. The platform could be more intuitive for parents, but it's fairly user-friendly for teachers and students.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to online resources are so much easier when using itsLearning. When you have multiple courses it is easy to separate information per subject. It's also helpful to be able to distribute resources to students that you can organize effectively.

  ### 13. Lots of Options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2019

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I use the assessment tools as a way to give my students practice tests.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

I wish it would just let me stay logged in. I would also like it to be able to randomize numbers in math formulas to give students different problems in their questions.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

It can do quite a bit. If you're willing to put in the time, it does empower learners to go at their own pace.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me provide students with review activities. It has helped them practice.

  ### 14. Would not recommend

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

It looks modern and current. Designed to imitate current trends in social media can keep less engaged learners to be potentially less opposed to the system.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

Its expensive and its unintuitive for instructors. It works against users by putting things in places we wouldn't naturally look. It goes against many of the design trends this sort of product has used for the past two decades. Even the most fundamental tasks of a CMS / LMS are not put where you would naturally expect. I'm guessing they don't do much user testing. They seem to focus more on training people to use the system they designed, instead of spending their time designing a system that is intuitive.

Between using ItsLearning or not using a CMS/LMS, I'd choose not to use one. If forced to use ItsLearning by an employer, I'd seriously consider leaving and what other employment options I have. The product is suppose to make education easier, but it only leads to frustration unless you want to sit through trainings to compensate for their poor design.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

Look at all other options and make sure you actually try using ItsLearning before paying for it. If they say you need to be trained in it, that should be a huge red flag. The design of a product should aid users, not hinder them.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employer sought a new Content Management System / Learning Management System after using Canvas for a couple years. The product, on the student end, is more friendly for younger children who aren't likely to use it. However, it comes at a higher price and is less aligned with the university systems students will see after completing their secondary education. In contrast, many universities and colleges use Canvas.

  ### 15. itsLearning is where it's at!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2018

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I like that students and teachers have one place to go for all their courses electronically. It's nice to be able to access all relevant paperwork in one place. It does not have a lot of filler graphics that might hide relevant content from the user.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

Sometimes they update and the new set up changes how comfortable you wete effectively using it. Homepages changed dramatically a few updates ago and we are still trying to get our views back to normal. The tree to find stuff can become quite cumbersome.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows all teachers and students to access their classes and courses in one place. All sign ins, books, brain plans, lessons, activities, etcn are in one place. It is great for content that needs to be shared within our school.

  ### 16. An LMS that fits everyone's needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick W. | IUPUC Adjunct Professor, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2017

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

Itslearning was chosen for our district because of their commitment to supporting Universal Design for Learning. The platform allows teachers to design a learning environment that that is focused on student choice and voice. Students are able to learn through multiple means of representation, show what they know through multiple means of action and expression while being engaging. This includes text, video, audio, images, and embedding.
The platform also allows our corporation to have all of our resources in one area. This can be completed through single-sign-on through LTI or through a very diverse shared library. We have over 2 million elements in our library now.
Itslearning's service is also easy to work with and very responsive. They check in often, work with our specific district's needs, and have given us a voice in the development of the platform.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

The itslearning gradebook is still a work in progress. It is not the main gradebook we use as a district, but it is difficult to make changes to grades on an individual student need. They are in the process of developing a new gradebook and we have been pleased with the pilot versions so far.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

Itslearning is a worldwide platform dedicated to K-12 education. They are constantly improving the platform.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we had itslearning, we had over 5 learning management systems in use. Itslearning has unified our district K-12 as well as all of our professional development and staffing requirements. Everyone in our district has an account and knows that it is the information hub.
All of our content is now available 24/7 for all of our students and teachers. This has allowed us to extend learning past the traditional school hours, allowed students to stay up to date if they have to miss school, and allows us to have eLearning days.

  ### 17. Online learning management system for public schools.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2017

**What do you like best about itslearning?**

I like that the vendor's representatives work well to ensure that the system works well with other programs so our students can have single sign-on access to a variety of resources.

**What do you dislike about itslearning?**

I do not like not having a spell check feature in the system. I write curriculum and it's a pain have to copy and paste into a word document to spell check.

**Recommendations to others considering itslearning:**

Be sure to have a list of features you access to.
Think about the online environment you trying to create.
Think about the programs you currently use and how it can best sync with its learning.

**What problems is itslearning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its leaning is helping us created blended learning environments so teachers can maximize instructional time. It is helping us reach students with attendance issues and keeping them from falling behing.
