"Exceptional HR and Payroll Solution with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

I find GoCo's embedded payroll to be really convenient, especially when used with the built-in time and attendance application. The employee onboarding experience is excellent, and the workflows help standardize processes effectively. It's great for storing employee documents and updating them efficiently. I love GoCo's excellent customer service, which provides timely responses. Navigation is really simple, making it easy to train new employees. The abundance of features allows for easy integration into many company operations. Their partnership with JazzHR for applicant tracking and the collaboration with Gusto for payroll processing are also quite beneficial. The seamless integration with Google for SSO is another aspect I enjoy. The Time Off application saves a lot of time by simplifying the management of balances and accruals, thanks to its integration with Time & Attendance and Payroll applications. The availability of many configuration options, along with ongoing improvements, makes using GoCo a very positive experience. Their support team was wonderful during the setup, allowing us to get up and running within six weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

I'd like to see the benefits configuration opened up to customers so that I don't have to submit a support ticket any time I need a change. We have a policy that limits the amount of time that an employee can use per year, and that's the only configuration option in the Time Off application that is not (yet) available. "Convenient Connection to QB's Online"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

I like the convenience of its connection to QB's Online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

The costs have continued to creep upward. I’d really like pricing to stabilize so the product remains usable and sustainable for our businesses.

I would also like to see Quickbooks add HIPAA compliance to their system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean, User-Friendly UI Makes GoCo a Breeze"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

The user interface is clean, and the system itself is intuitive and easy to pick up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

Deputy includes a feature that lets staff offer up shifts and alerts others when there are open shifts or shifts needing coverage. Incorporating a similar feature would make GoCo a more comprehensive, all-in-one platform. Additionally, it's not possible to customize pay period date ranges unless you use their payroll system and get help from the support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most bungled SaaS implementation I've ever endured"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

For the most part the product is intuitive to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

The implementation, the support and transition, we felt completely bait and switched. Our implementation advisor ghosted us, despite nice assurances upon the signing process. Post implementation we certainly had some good people we worked with, but we're constantly working through a generic support channel that gets no response to our issues. And we've had a number of issues since we onboarded. The only way to get a response is to call several times, and then get told "our team is working on a response right now". That excuse may work once, but not multiple times.

I was told 3 business days before payroll (our first payroll on Goco) was due that I couldn't file an expedited ticket because it had to be 2 days. We hadn't even confirmed our payroll cycles yet, and I couldn't even get a human to get us to help when we were on a crunch. Luckily, I had my old provider to fall back on. But if I hadn't we would have missed payroll.

I would say that the service was misrepresented. Goco told us they integrated with our 401k provider. We found out after converting that they don't. There is so much I can add. But I would have gotten more assurances about integrations and processes in writing instead of on a video meeting. And I should have found another solution at the first sign of trouble.

To this day, for some basic support issues my team is having problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolutely EXCELLENT HRMS for small business"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

The platform is comprehensive but you only pay for the services you use. The platform for HR Professionals is superb, easy to navigate and full of helpful information. The onboarding process is outstanding - the team of people are well versed in their onboarding subject areas, responsive and thorough. They went above and beyond to help us initiate our payroll process quickly to avoid duplicate charges for both carriers. The GoCo Academy is an excellent ongoing resource that we've already gone back to since we started. It's a foundation for orientation in a small business like ours without a dedicated HR professional on staff. So our complete cutover and implementation of all the features within the timeframe of transition wasn't feasible - and we want to use some of the new features that we didn't have time yet to fully develop. But we are absolutely certain that as we have that time, we have a team of knowledgeable, helpful professionals we can rely upon. Someone is logging into GoCo every day for one reason or another, and any small issues we've had onboarding employees or whatever have been remediated within 24 hours of support request. I've already had a colleague from another non-profit implement GoCo for their company! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

The payroll reports from the imbedded Gusto payroll processor are REALLY basic and kinda messy. You can create your own custom reports, but that's not completely intuitive either. So far, that's the only feature we're not thrilled with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Go with GoCo!!!!"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

Our nonprofit has experienced extreme growth over the last few years. We hired our first HR Manager a few months ago. I began searching for an HRIS and decided on GoCo. I was impressed by the work done on the front end which consisted of months of in depth prep with our HR Manager. The many features are still a plus! Our HR Manager has told me many times how glad she is we chose GoCo. Lastly having an actual person to call is the icing on top!!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

The only downside I have en countered really is not a GoCo issue it’s an ADP issue when setting up payroll sync. We are months in and still ADP is not reflecting the info in GoCo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic Support and a Great Payroll System"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

My favorite thing about GoCo is the support, hands down. If I have an issue or there is an error, they are on top of it and have always gotten me a resolution. Another great feature is the grid payroll system which makes it easy to edit individual lines and go back to correct, if needed. Onboarding new hires is done in a snap due to the workflows and well organized system. Our company setup was super easy and GoCo did all of the work. We plan to use integrations as we become more comfortable with using the system. The Quickbooks integration seems very handy. All in all, GoCo is a great system to be using for daily people use, payroll, and company announcements even. Very Satisfied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

I don't know that I would call it a dislike, because the support team is always ready to jump in, but we have encountered some temporary roadblocks as far as number of pay runs and a few errors here and there. But again, the support team seems to be able to handle anything. They raised the number of pay runs we could use and if I encounter the rare error, a simple re-load usually does the trick. "Needs Major Improvements Despite Easy Time Tracking"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

It was easy to track time with my staff and the info directly transferred over to payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Payroll?

For our account, Quickbooks Payroll was automatically turned off for no reason. I've spent numerous hours on the phone to figure out why this happened, and I still have open cases with Quickbooks that have not been resolved since June. This has made it difficult to also find any documentation that was submitted by Quickbooks payroll on behalf of my business (tax documents, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I was excited to implement GoCo, but there were times, I needed motivation, the staff was there!"
What do you like best about QuickBooks Payroll?

For those times, the implementer- assigned to our company did great job, at moving me forward- which was priceless .The Goco Staff was patient, willing to help and to meet over Zoom when that was needed. They are VERY knowledgeable about the HR software. The back side of customizing our organization, was very important! They listened to our specific Non-Profit needs.

I had written material, videos , short "tests" that kept me accountable and on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
