I could clearly and easily follow what tasks were done and when. Communicating via this system is nice and easy, and I could walk Through onboarding steps and tasks easily. The bottom line is I love it and will definitely recommend GoCo. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** I think it would be helpful to make it easier to find completed tasks. I would like to be able to see the entire list with maybe the new tasks at the top and completed items listed below instead of archiving them and making them not visible at all. **What problems is QuickBooks Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?** It saves time with onboarding new employees and makes fast communications and notifications happen fast. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about QuickBooks Workforce?** It's cheap and integrated with my Accounting Software - Quickbooks Online. Signing up and Implementing is quick and easy. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** It has minimal functionality and they only make product enhancements if it benefits enough clients. Their Customer Service is awful, and hard to get a straight answer from. When things get challenging for the Customer Service representatives, they decide to "accidentally" lose connection rather than take ownership and see the case through. I have had multiple "accidental" hang-ups on complex issues but zero "accidental" hang-ups on easy issues. I'm a startup and qualify for the Employee Retention Credit through Q4 of 2021 as a Recovery Startup Business. The rest of the businesses claiming ERC had to stop claiming the tax credit at the end of Q3. So rather than turn the ERC functionality off for those that don't qualify and keep it on for those that do, they decided to turn it off for all. When I called in to ask for it to be turned back on, I was told there aren't enough clients of theirs that are startups and to go find a new payroll company. They literally kicked me to the curb to find a new payroll company with 10 days left in the year. Having worked at ADP for 11 years I knew no payroll company would take on tax filing liability with just 10 days left in the year. So now I'm stuck using a CPA for payroll and paying really expensive rates. **What problems is QuickBooks Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?** It just does the very basics, and that's it. If you have anything outside of the box then you are in trouble. I only have one employee with zero deductions and they couldn't solve my ERC need. ### 7. So it is easy for employees to use and does not take too much time to process all the paperwork that is required. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** There can be some issues sometimes with the website or database where there can be some miscalculations with paperwork. It's easy to learn how to use and it integrates very well with other tools that we use (like Greenhouse and Paychex). I also like the option of creating very customized documents. Customer service is always outstanding, ready to help, and flexible to our business needs. I was looking for a reasonable option for a small company since other systems have user minimums. Onboarding has been so easy with Goco, I've received great compliments from new hires and it saves me so much time. Goco has been a pleasant surprise since I had never heard of them but they have been amazing to work with. Really happy I made the right choice. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** One thing they can improve is adding format customization to the document templates, not a big deal. Employees like it, and it has made onboarding a breeze! **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** While no HRIS system is perfect, there are a few glitches that GoCo has been unable to work out for us. We hope that the requests we've asked of Goco to its functionality will soon be implemented. **Recommendations to others considering QuickBooks Workforce:** If you are looking to get an HRIS system and want an excellent easy to use system, with dedicated and very responsive customer service, look no further. GoCo staff have been attentive and easy to work with from the start. I really like the onboarding workflow that it provides for our new employees. In addition, GoCo has many partners that they can recommend you to for benefits and other lines of coverage. It's a versatile tool without becoming too robust or confusing to navigate and administer; making it a perfect fit for our small team. The cost compared to other HRIS is not as risky allowing you to see if it is indeed a good fit for your organization. GoCo also provides great resources outside of the HRIS platform itself with HR-focused webinars, and a blog that stays relevant to the times. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** Sometimes we may run into some errors during implementation of new plans. However, the account representatives at GoCo are quick to resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner. Sometimes they roll out new features that could use a little more finessing but otherwise I don't have any real dislikes. They also don't work with all providers but are continually working on expanding their network and the benefit lines that can be added. **Recommendations to others considering QuickBooks Workforce:** The onboarding process goes smoothly if you have all of your employee records as organized as possible beforehand. Be honest with your account manager about your pain points to make sure they are addressed during implementation or have a feature added to their wishlist for future implementation. If there is something that GoCo does not provide or if there are additional features you wish to see, reach out to their team! They love hearing new suggestions and are very receptive to them. If it's currently in production, they will let you know. GoCo also offers a free demo and a trial so be sure to take advantage of it to make sure that it's the right fit for you before moving forward. Take the time to speak with your account manager and implementation team and you'll find they are very supportive of you and your goals while using their system. Also if you have trouble getting buy-in from execs to switch from a paper system to GoCo's system, I recommend having GoCo run them through a demo with you. If you tell them what fears or questions the exec team has, they will be sure to address it in their presentation for you. They really do care about making your HR administration better and will try to advocate for you as much as possible. Also if you don't have a broker for benefits administration, COBRA, etc. just ask and they will refer you to a great team. **What problems is QuickBooks Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our benefits administration is being completed on-time and without rush; lowering stress levels during our open enrollment period. We are also have more productive 1:1 meetings but using their Feedback timeline tool. It provides a transparent frame of reference but also gives employees and managers a place to make notes regarding any struggles are achievements in their employment to bring up during the next meeting. We have saved a lot of time with PTO tracking as well since GoCo takes care of all the calculations and has a process for employees to submit requests. This has led to more accurate records and a smoother payroll process. ### 28. It's so refreshing moving to a software that can send everything to an employee and have them fill it all out electronically. I also added to the onboarding workflow to give myself reminders of all the other manual things I need to do. The vacation requesting feature is super easy, there are lots of policies and settings we can customize for everything. **What do you dislike about QuickBooks Workforce?** There are some small gaps/oversights. Their magic docs feature is great in a lot of ways but the word docs don't look good and I can't upload headers or footers to add our logo. When they ask for signature, the only option is to actually sign using your mouse, which is very hard to do as opposed to the option to write your name in cursive and verify it. I'm still working on fully understanding document storage, and there are two places to put documents in employees profiles, custom fields and documents. Not big things, but it's not the absolutely most intuitive system to use. Still very easy, though, once you get the hang of it. **What problems is QuickBooks Workforce solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making a way better impression on new hires, having everything in one place and more prepared on their first days. Much nicer way to centralize important employee info, like emergency contacts and personal emails, instead of keeping a spreadsheet I have to manually update. The holidays and PTO calendars sync with our outlook calendars, so I keep better track of who's on vacation. It does not integrate with Quickbooks cleanly; every time you have to correct a paycheck you have to call them, every time you want to rerun a paycheck you have to call them, in fact most editing functions do not work at all. The export function does not work correctly either, so you end up with multple repeats in your account ledgers. Sometimes you click a link and get a spinning circle for >5 seconds. It usually comes back in a reasonable amount of time (less than 10 seconds), but any lag is, of course, frustrating.
