IFS Cloud is helpful because it brings finance, operations, supply chain, and projects into one unified system with real-time dashboards, making it easier to see what’s happening across the business and allowing us to make faster decisions with all the data in one place.

The permission capability is vast, which makes understanding it and controlling permissions a challenge.

The best thing that is so easy to create a custom configuration without doing a modification.

User interface is lacking.  Some of pages and some areas have improved, but need to have a overhaul of a modern UI.

Day to day business is running smoothly. Easy to find consultants and resources that can help out.

**What do you like best about IFS ERP?**

There is very little to like about using IFS.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

It is very difficult to be a user of IFS. It's not just the limited capability (there are very basic financial reports IFS can't create), difficult to use, the very high pricing (and not honoring deals that had been promised when impacted by the frequent turnover), or the fact that even their sales people admit they are selling items (e.g., AI) that they don't have. Users would be much better served working with a more functional and user-friendly software.

**What problems is IFS ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits are difficult to enumerate, as they are overcome by the challenges. We had a perpetual license and they are stopping support for it.

We have a dedicated IFS client connector to get data from different projections at the same time in one call.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

It's projections and documentations on projections. Everytime if we want to query data from any projections then we are struggling to get it in one shot as we are not sure where we find a page that connects projections and it's stored data.

We are switching from Quickbase to IFS to store our employees data and fields related data. We also using it for quality records.

IFS modern and intuitive product, the user interface is excellent and is easily configurable to meet a business’ needs whether it’s through lobbies or configuring the pages themselves. The functional processes are logical and help to guide the business to follow industry standards.

IFS documentation can sometimes be lacking. I think improving this will only give customers a wider understanding of what the product has to offer.

The application has many modules that work in concert to provide support thru the entire order to cash workflow.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

I cannot think of any special concern or functionality gap that exists in the order to chase or engineer to build workflow.

We have integrated manufacturing internal business processes and the intra-company customer order module works great. Multi-currency order entry is also used. All financial companies in IFS that represent Armstrong Intl global divisions use on general ledge chart.

I like that we are able to handle most requirements without having to do extensive coding. We can add custom events or custom fields relatively easily and that doesn't impact our ability to take on the most recent updates. I also feel like we have good attention from our IFS reps and they stay engaged with us.

The support can be challenging at times, where responses can be slow.

Very user-friendly. Easy to train new users

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

Robust. Not flexible enough where it can be. For example, suppose the currency of the cash account is different to the company's accounting currency; in that case, you can not use the cash account to pay or receive payments of other currencies than the cash account currency. This kind of restriction has no functional reasons but just adds frustration to the user experience

We don't need several systems. We have almost all ERP-processes covered. It develops and in new versions you get updates rather easy.

The documentation and help could be much better and easier to navigate through. In some areas there is no help at all.

some of my friends and I also find that the implementation process of IFS ERP can be complex and time-consuming. The level of customization and configuration options may contribute to a longer deployment timeline. While IFS ERP offers a high degree of customization, I have found that making extensive modifications can be challenging and may require specialized skills.

Even though there are endless customisable menus and events - the majority of time require a modification and a cost to the customer due to it not being able to change the standard configuration<br>There are a few bugs that RnD should fix; however, they again say it is the standard configuration.<br>Expensive for Modifications - especially having to pay for SoW before customer decides if to proceed

We are using IFS for Just-in-time manufacturing - the application is easy to follow and often an excellent product. We are 18 months into IFS10 after upgrading from IFS7.5. We see better improvements with the upgrade and have a road map in place to explore new application features

**What do you like best about IFS ERP?**

I really like the ability to customize IFS to fit our company's processes. We use IEE and love the ability to customize screens, lobbies and more. We have been doing some work in Aurena to prepare for an upgrade but have been frustrated to the point that management has decided to skip Aurena and jump to Cloud. We just hope that customizations are as easy to do as with IEE.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

The IFS technical documentation is hard to read or even find the topic. We have been exploring Aurena for our outside sales group, and finding documentation not on Cloud but Aurena is almost impossible. We don't like Aurena that much. It seems half baked. Aurena doesn't seem to get us where we want to go.

**What problems is IFS ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the main reasons we chose IFS in 2013 was that we could use it for all our business divisions from distribution, to project engineering and fabricating, to day to day on-site services. IFS allows us to pull all our business together.

I like IFS because it is very structured and user-friendly. Having the ability to search for specific functions and queries helps to save time. Since we started utilizing the attachment feature, it has enabled us to have one source for transactions with corresponding supporting documents.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

There are areas within IFS where the coding requirements are ignored; adding consistency would prevent many posting errors at the month-end close. The consolidation process is a bit tedious.

IFS helps integrate production and finance for an effective close. We can also integrate other systems into IFS for Sales, etc. It has been easy to create reporting for our specific business needs.

The thing I find most helpful about IFS is the ability to get access to key information metrics via dashboard/lobbies capability. Having used other tier 2 ERP solutions. I find the user interface and general strength of the product to be far superior.

We are currently using IFS, apps, 10, which is good, however, having recently seen a preview of IFS cloud, the current interface is significantly inferior. Very much looking forward to upgrading to IFS cloud.

For our business IFS is solving the problem of desperate ERP solutions across our group of companies. We are now consolidating all Marshall group companies onto the IFS platform and architecture. The user interface and flexibility of configuration options provide enough degrees of freedom to adapt to almost any situation.

Nitpicky, but how IFS has set Company/site access alongside but not directly connected to core permissions sets up a 'false choice' between allowing users access across companies or maintaining lock on security.

Interconnected modules, global standards in process, enabler of master data management, and connection to outside systems via EDI and Open API's. We're now poised to leverage better data analytics and look for automation opportunities via configuration or locally applied customizations (CRIMs)

Great, modern user interface, the latest version IFS cloud has a cloud native, modern infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

While they are growing quickly, they are not as mature as other vendors, particularly for larger customers (>$250M). Internally they are quite siloed, so it can be challenging to get holistic solutions to your business problems. The implementation methodology is not appropriate for larger customers, with considerable complexity or lots of change management to do. The user forums are improving, but are quite thin right now. However, if you get connected to the right people and executives, they are responsive, are rapidly improving, and actually do listen to their customers.

Implementing a new manufacturing ERP to replace our legacy technology and allow us to grow beyond $1B in sales

The customizability of the software is a key feature, the SQL basis and features covering the majority of business transaction, setup types and adaptable to most regulatory environments.

The response time from IFS support for technical bugs can vary, and at times the wait time to resolve issues has been too long for normal business needs, we have waited months at times for a fix of a certain bug.

We operate as a custom project-based business and the features offered within IFS as well as the savy of our local ERP team has allowed us to make excellent use of the software in our business and implement efficiencies and integrations, like a purchasing portal, or interaction with automated importing of a Bill-of-Materials.

I like that it is very logical and in order. The help is very good when you are new to an area. I like the broadness of the application and I don't think I have said "IFS does not offer that" yet.

Sometimes depending on which area you are using in IFS 10. There is a need for various amounts of data needed to be set up. Sometimes what is required are in many different places, making IFS sometimes difficult. In the way that if you miss changing or adding this data. The function might not work.

It Solves different problems for us. Moving toward digitalization of functions I see as the main one. IFS offers new ways of thinking and how to solve issues that would not be possible without the help of a system.

IFS is very flexible. I appreciate we are able to customize quickly and we always receive good support from a local support partner. This way we can provide the best service to our internal customers.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

IFS is rather unknown in the IT industry. Therefore, when I am talking to my peers from other companies with similar scope, I am the odd one out as the others mostly use SAP or other "more popular" systems.

Business control, transparency. We are doing as much as possible in IFS. Everything from HR agenda to logistics, selling, invoicing, maintenance, and even simple CRM.

We can easily create quick reports for those who need them. We can easily navigate among windows and can use shortcut keys. We can run and execute queries as well.

I am honestly saying that there are no any dislike options in IFS for me. But it is good enough to more strong links between respective windows and interfaces in IFS.

Earlier, we had an internal system to do our day-to-day transactions. It was very time-consuming and had so many issues. But we can easily do our transactions after obtaining the IFS to our company.

Interface and integration of processes should be synchronised, like while doing promotion/ increment entry , it requires two steps to make is effective,like one is from HR side and second payroll process.

The ability to create custom reports and integrate them with Crystal Report.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

I'm not a big fan of lobby creation and layout. I feel like we are limited in what we can do with the widgets once we created them. I hope IFS can have an interactive widget in the future products such as MS Dynamics Dashboard.

**What problems is IFS ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IFS is solving problems to make it easier to do Master Scheduling and MRP within the application. We can also link this information with the demand planner easily.

**What do you like best about IFS ERP?**

The borders are purple. I like purple. The sales job to sell the software was very impressive. Fooled me.

**What do you dislike about IFS ERP?**

The Aurena interface is terrible. Not intuitive at all. Suppose you know a part number and want to know everything about it. In that case, you have to enter the part in multiple screens to find out if they are in stock, if they are on a Purchase Order (a two-step process) or Shop Order. Where the component is used, how many were used last year, who the supplier is, the unit of measure, sales price, invoice cost, lot size, order multiples, etc. Stock labels don't have stock location printed, so it is hard to see if a box is located correctly at a glance. Support is available from consultants that range from good to terrible. All at a price. We have had to increase staff at all levels to handle the additional work required for IFS to operate (Finance, Customer Support, Planning, Purchasing and Material Handling). Our old system (NAV 2004, with lots of customization) was so much easier to use that shop floor personnel could use it with 15 minutes of training, and Lot number tags could be printed with two clicks. I was sold on Lobbies, which we have not started to use and don't do much anyway. Questions go unanswered on the Community forum.

Nothing comes to mind. Maybe someday, it will benefit my company and me. I work in Planning, and it sure keeps us busy.
