## Hurricane Electric Reviews
  ### 1. Their Free DNS Service Rocks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Describe the project or task Hurricane Electric helped with:**

I use Hurricane Electric to manage my DNS zones, which is the bones of my site. They provide this service absolutely for free. This means that I don't have to pay for the nameserver hosting, which is a huge plus. Also, they act as a forwarder to the real nameservers I have elsewhere, meaning I don't have to configure my ISP or co-hosting provider's nameserver settings.

**What do you like best about Hurricane Electric?**

I love their DNS service because it's absolutely free, there's no premium pay plans or anything. I hope this keep it this way for years on, but I could also support them. Their zone management panel is easy to use, no fancy and unnecessary stuff, just the important things I need. Their DNS also resolves super fast. It is the best DNS service I have come across by far.

**What do you dislike about Hurricane Electric?**

I wish there were more documentation on their API because so far I was only able to update existing records, not create new records. I wanted to implement a subdomain creator, which required the use of SRV and CNAME record, but unfortunately, HE doesn’t have an well documented API for this.

**What problems is Hurricane Electric solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I trust Hurricane Electric because of our DNS uptime, and so far they have impressed me. No downtime, and great speeds. They have many locations, but the default seems to be in Fremont, CA.

I realized that with Hurricane Electric, my websites that has been running smoother and faster. I trust HE to deal with our website’s DNS queries. As others always say, a slow website can decrease customer engagement and financially harm businesses. However, with HE, I can put that worry aside and focus more on our business.
