  ### 1. I lost plenty of weekends booking directly. Now I can do it all on a Monday and my job is done!

**What do you like best about Engine?**

I can book hotels on a whim. I book over 30 rooms a week across all of California and not have to worry about the mess of waiting on a Sales Director to send me over 2-3 documents via email just to book a room for more than 4 rooms, not to mention Engine will find you the CHEAPEST option and sort the hotel rooms that way. There have been a few times I have thought to myself " Hey this DoubleTree is usually $170-200 per room night but its going for $90 on Engine, Is this legit" and 100% of the time it is. Come the time where i need to call support to handle a hotels credit card handling, all i have to do is dial the support number listed at the bottom of the support tab and I give one reference quote stating my issue and i get directly sent to a human who solves the issue 100% of the time. There was one particular time I booked a room for one of my superintendent's down in Long Beach Ca. The hotel was gorgeous and highly sought after for the people that go down there for our freeway project we were doing. The hotel mishandled my guys card 2 stays in a row. Both times i called them to rectify his CC charges and try to get him the money reimbursed they mischarged. All it took was one phone call and my guy got his money back for BOTH stays.

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

The only quirk I found would be useful is that i feel as if there should be a general "Notes for the Front Desk" tab upon booking the reservation, although I do not doubt that it end up becoming a thing at one point or another, there is a few things I could use it for. There are a plethora of Night workers we have and they usually show up at these hotels at 1-4am and there have been a bunch of hotels that have actually cancelled the reservation under their assumption that they wont show up. I do work around this by calling but then that defeats some of the purpose by having to contact the hotel anyways. Sometimes i even like to note that they will have a larger vehicle and put a note there saying so. Also, a dark mode feature would be pretty cool.

**What problems is Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting rid of a paper trail and having to recollect every hotels charge on the company card and sifting through each folio for every guy. This works for assuring my employees aren't buying things they shouldn't be buying with our card on file and also having to have each folio for the accounting team to know how to code each hotel charge. Engines built in tracker has everything i need.

I had a fantastic experience using Engine for my hotel bookings. The platform is user-friendly, fast, and reliable.

There should be some package availability if someone want tp travel any famous area.

The prices offered were very competitive and transparent—no hidden fees or surprises. I found great deals that fit my budget perfectly. The booking process was smooth and hassle-free. I appreciated the clear information about each hotel, including amenities, location, and cancellation policies.

**What do you like best about Engine?**

I can create customs fields so I know what order the stay pertains to.  Each department can have their own accounts, so much.

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

We are a Canadian company who books in both countries.  We would like to see a Canadian dollar option for when booking in Canada as we have specific credit cards for each country, one in USD and the other in CAD.  If we book with our CAD card we get charged the exchange rate.

**What problems is Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One stop shop instead of using multiple sites to book or our travel agent that charges each time we use them.

Engine has completely changed how we manage business travel and how much we save on it. 

What I Like Best:
Huge cost savings without sacrificing quality of hotels available. It's like one of the last minute hotel sites, but without having to be last minute. 
Super simple to use—search for a hotel, filter it down, pick a room. Done. 
Great customer support, as well.

What Problems Are Solved:
Overpaying for hotel stays and the stress of going through lots of sites to find the best deal. 
Managing hotel stays for multiple team members. 
Great spend controls and visibility across all hotel bookings. 

Why Engine Stands Out:
Super simple to use. Feels like a retail vs commerical product, but with the corporate features.

Nothing. They are great. Love using them.

Engine eliminates the hassle of booking and managing business travel while delivering significant cost savings. Before using Engine, handling hotel bookings across a team was inefficient, expensive, and time-consuming.

Our company does a lot of emergency response work, so having a great team at Engine to help with booking during hurricanes or other weather related emergencies has been help.  The biggest help during those hectic times is the time it saves having a dedicated team to help.

They only used to do rooms, now I can book cars, flights

An easy and transparant way to book all aspects of a trip. There's other tools out there but when you use them you always get stuck, because behind the scene there are live agents that need to stitch everything together. Engine is build from the ground up with new tech to handle rooms, flights, cars. You book something and get no errors no weird changes. Plus a very simple UX.

Engine works small midsize businesses, they have already partnered with many of them and affiliated with other network. It cut down our time to go look for companies, government business, etc

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

Big margin off of best available rates (almost 40%), it doesn' allow much margin to work for promotions and sponsored listing.

They creating partership with small midsize businesses, which allow more time for us to focus welcoming them.

There are no upsides. I regret trying the product.

With no explanation or cause, my account was shut down — something I learned by the login no longer functioning.

I have thousands of dollars in pre-booked travel through this site for my small business. Has it been cancelled? Who has my money? 

Phone support was useless, and redirected me to an email address.

I would never trust this company with a penny of my LLC's travel bookings ever again.

They are making something that was simple (booking small business travel), and made it into something unpredictable and unreliable.

Used Hotel Engine a couple of times, the prices are nowhere as good as they used to be.

Flex Program is a sham! Have yet to see any value.

Extremely simple to use, good deals on rooms, support is great.  If you have employees in the field to book for, keep track of, do job costing on, etc this site makes it all easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

The previous method used gave physical cards to employees which did make slighty easier for them to get rooms on their own when needed.  The ability to set limits for employees easily outweighed this option for our company.

More controlled spending on lodging.  Better tracking of employees and rooms.

Easy to use.  Can control the spending and searching of employees with the click of a button.  If needed you can make changes on the fly or book the hotels directly for guests or as an admin to exceed the thresholds you set up for employees.

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

Sometimes the app or website gives me a little trouble.  Not enough to persuade me to stop using.  It has gotten better with the last few updates

Able to book rooms with credit cards.  No phone calls needed with leveled pricing set to employees

The best part is the rewarding part. I book my colleagues hotels and get rewarded with points to use myself. I am currently using my points for my Thanksgiving break to visit family.

I do not dislike anything regarding this platform and I've using this platform for two years.

Once a representative signs you up, they walk you through it. They make sure you are comfortable using the platform.

No problems, I benefit from being able track different things all on one platform. I am able to enter a PO number which is typically our Job number's. It helps me quickly find reservations pertaining to a certain project.

Consistently lower prices on the same hotels I had used with hotel.com

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

link to book the same hotel again. If I do not mark a certain hotel as a favorite, it is not easy to find again. I need to go to my prior bookings and surf around until I find the hotel. Then I click to bring the reservation back up, then I need to copy and paste in the home page "find a hotel" box. The process should be easier. In this area, hotels.com is more user friendly. It is easier to re-book a hotel on their site.

I have a problem with a hotel I booked with hotel engine, but the issue was between my credit card company and the hotel - it was not hotel engine's fault.

I love how quickly reward points build up just for booking hotels that I would have to book anyway. I love that the rewards can be used for any hotel in hotel engine, and the rates are fantastic.

There isn't anything that i dislike about Hotel Engine. I've recommended to anyone who regularly books hotels for their work.

If you make changes to your reservation, it is hard to cancel.

Very easy to use and the customer service is approachable.

The only is issue is when you are changing/cancelling the reservations.  You lose your money if the hotel does not allow cancellations or any changes to the booking.

direct billing we have less fraud because of this

support help is not always accessible in a timely manner but they get it fixed.

no need to send out a cc auth to hotels has opened up more time for our travel team and lowered incidents of fraud. 

Benefits include points to use on employee travel to save us that expense and earning a commission on our bookings of less than 10 rooms.

Some times the hotel doesn't see the payment in their system when using the direct bill.

**What do you like best about Engine?**

HE is easy to use, and has a huge number of hotels to choose from. Their pricing is definitely better.. we've saved quite a bit of money so far. Example: we needed a hotel and I was recommended one by an employee. He said call, so he'd get their special pricing, which was already $10 off the nightly rate. I checked the HE site first, and was able to save an additional $4 per night off his stay! 

**What do you dislike about Engine?**

Nothing! If I had to come up with something, I wish that the hotel fees were all-inclusive - some of them have little charges on top of the room that are determined by the hotel itself. I'd love them to be all in one. I talked to our rep about it though, it's something they're working on.

**Recommendations to others considering Engine:**

Just keep in mind that all rooms are not necessarily refundable. They tell you, though. 

**What problems is Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our superintendents need rooms constantly, but they're between states and jobs and keeping track is sometimes a mess. This centralizes billing for us and keeps all of the info I need all in one place.
