## Engine Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is Engine free, or does it offer a free trial?

Yes. According to G2 data, Engine offers a free plan with limited features. Users can upgrade to paid plans for additional capabilities. Visit the seller's official pricing page to compare plan options and features.

How much does Engine cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Engine pricing in 2026 starts at $200.00. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Engine's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Engine pricing best suited for?

Engine's pricing is best suited for small and mid-market businesses with frequent, distributed hotel booking needs. G2 reviewers from construction, staffing, transportation, and engineering industries dominate the review set — companies managing crews across multiple job sites who book 10 to 30+ rooms weekly. Business Plus suits cost-conscious small businesses replacing travel agents or multi-site booking workflows, as confirmed by G2 users in financial services and computer software. Business Premium at $200/month fits mid-market companies whose travelers face last-minute itinerary changes, particularly in emergency response, staffing, or field operations where cancellation penalties are a recurring financial risk. Enterprise reviewers also report strong satisfaction with Engine's core free tier.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Engine?

Engine's Business Plus tier is permanently free — no trial, no contracts, no agent-assist fees. It includes 750,000+ hotel options, average 26% savings, loyalty rewards, admin dashboard, travel policy controls, custom fields, analytics, and 24/7 U.S.-based support. Engine's paid Business Premium tier at $200/month adds one critical capability: cancellation flexibility. Members can cancel any reservation up until noon on check-in day and make unlimited changes regardless of the hotel's own cancellation policy. G2 reviewers note restrictive cancellation terms as a recurring pain point on the free tier, with one telecommunications mid-market reviewer explicitly losing money on non-refundable bookings — the core problem Business Premium is designed to solve.

Is Engine considered good value for its pricing?

Engine is widely considered strong value, particularly given its free Business Plus tier. G2 reviewers consistently cite 26% average hotel savings, with one construction mid-market reviewer noting DoubleTree rooms at $90 versus typical $170-200 rates. G2 reviews of Engine highlight direct billing, loyalty rewards, and 24/7 U.S.-based support as standout inclusions at no cost. The $200/month Business Premium tier draws mixed signals — one small-business construction reviewer called the Flex Program a sham, while frequent travelers with unpredictable itineraries find cancellation flexibility worth the spend. Hotels.com is cited as a rebooking UX comparison, not a cost alternative. Overall G2 ratings average near 5.0 across most segments.

"I lost plenty of weekends booking directly. Now I can do it all on a Monday and my job is done!"

5/5

What do you like best about Engine?

I can book hotels on a whim. I book over 30 rooms a week across all of California and not have to worry about the mess of waiting on a Sales Director to send me over 2-3 documents via email just to book a room for more than 4 rooms, not to mention Engine will find you the CHEAPEST option and sort the hotel rooms that way. There have been a few times I have thought to myself " Hey this DoubleTree is usually $170-200 per room night but its going for $90 on Engine, Is this legit" and 100% of the time it is. Come the time where i need to call support to handle a hotels credit card handling, all i have to do is dial the support number listed at the bottom of the support tab and I give one reference quote stating my issue and i get directly sent to a human who solves the issue 100% of the time. There was one particular time I booked a room for one of my superintendent's down in Long Beach Ca. The hotel was gorgeous and highly sought after for the people that go down there for our freeway project we were doing. The hotel mishandled my guys card 2 stays in a row. Both times i called them to rectify his CC charges and try to get him the money reimbursed they mischarged. All it took was one phone call and my guy got his money back for BOTH stays. What do you dislike about Engine?

The only quirk I found would be useful is that i feel as if there should be a general "Notes for the Front Desk" tab upon booking the reservation, although I do not doubt that it end up becoming a thing at one point or another, there is a few things I could use it for. There are a plethora of Night workers we have and they usually show up at these hotels at 1-4am and there have been a bunch of hotels that have actually cancelled the reservation under their assumption that they wont show up. I do work around this by calling but then that defeats some of the purpose by having to contact the hotel anyways. Sometimes i even like to note that they will have a larger vehicle and put a note there saying so. Also, a dark mode feature would be pretty cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting rid of a paper trail and having to recollect every hotels charge on the company card and sifting through each folio for every guy. This works for assuring my employees aren't buying things they shouldn't be buying with our card on file and also having to have each folio for the accounting team to know how to code each hotel charge. Engines built in tracker has everything i need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Notch Performance with Great UI, Voice Integration, and Flexible Travel Perks"

4/5

What do you like best about Engine?

Competitive pricing on the platform (it's free) but travel (discounted) is a win. It allows easy to use policy creation, great UI and voice activated, via integration with Salesforce Agentforce voice to use on the go. The performance is top notch, support and onboarding is human even if automated and likely AI enabled. The AI features are additive, not excessive. I also like direct billing, the flexibility to cancel the same day, and having a charge card for off-platform purchases, along with additional travel rewards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Engine?

It's hard to navigate out of the logged in experience but using incognito I was able to get back to some key questions. This could easily be solved by making the non-logged in experience material accessible through a chatbot or non-logged in view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?

Engine allows consolidate travel booking for distributed teams without needing to pay for an expensive platform that's enterprise grade, we're just not built for that and don't have that extra money to spend on software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
