What do you like best about Heybase?

Its promise is amazing. It's easy to build out custom sites for prospects, and if their websites actually loaded consistently, the service would be an incredible tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heybase?

One to three weeks following the creation of a heybase site for a prospect, the website fails to load without any validation message. The prospect needs to inform us of this as we have no way of automatically learning that the link no longer functions.

We then need to create a new link, which, again, will only last 1-3 weeks.

On top of that, other functionality regularly breaks, such as the tool that's supposed to inform us by e-mail that a prospect accessed the site.

Their plug-in to embed Vimeo videos regularly breaks, sometimes failing to embed the video at all, and sometimes embedding multiple copies of the same video.

Lots of great promise here, but it's NOT production ready.

Customer support is not consistently responsive. Sometimes they get back to us, sometimes they don't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The team's responsiveness has been awful in the sales process. We tried to arrange a call via the 'book a demo' on their site, and were ignored. Reaching out to both support and internal emails got us nowhere. This is pretty poor, especially as this app isn't cheap. Highly recomend using a different platform if you value customer service. What do you like best about Heybase?

What I love:

$$$ White label - custom domain - custom email (essential for most of us buyers here on Appsumo, but SOOOO many SaaS owners get it wrong, offering no white label at all or call it white label (custom domain only), but email come has SaaS branding. HeyBase got it right!

$$$ Nice price for a business in a box, straightforward, does what it supposed to do.

Cons:

~ Still trying to figure out how to move things around, sometimes that is difficult to do.

What do you like best about Heybase?

I sell consulting services where the typical customer journey is in months.

I have all of the usual collaterals and platforms to engage prospects and actual clients, but it's usually a hodge-podge set up between vids, pdfs, demo links, calendars, chats, contracts, etc.

And then Heybase comes along and forces me to rethink my process and collaterals into integrated "sales rooms". I'm still experimenting, but already Heybase is giving me an integrated capability and simpler framework to engage clients.

Beyond the platform, the Heybase team itself is a gem: highly responsive, the client feedback to new feature cycle is extremely short. There's still lots to fine-tune with Heybase, but the team fills me with confidence that the platform will match the sales-room-as-a-service vision in record time. This deal is worth five tacos. If you are time poor like me then you don't have time for fussing with code. Heybase cuts through a lot of (*&^*&% by providing ready-made solutions for common business problems. Check them out! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Heybase?

I'm a little fussy when it comes to UX. Heybase has tried to be modern in the design of their service and I feel that some of the design (such as drop shadows and rounded corners) detract from the UX and do not add to it. I'm not arguing for command-line blandness but I am suggesting that careful 'debranding' of the product offering could be the best trend for this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After reading about what Heybase was, I saw the value in our sales cycle immediately. Although the feature set was slim, I decided to bet on the team, and they have not disappointed.
