## Haystack Reviews
  ### 1. Eliminated email noise and encouraged communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick . | Managing Director, Partner Processing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

The ability to quickly find important work related posts for follow-up several days later. Important but not urgent emails are easily lost in the in-box.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

Posting kudos to colleagues still seems awkward but its clearly appreciated by many.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to communicate exclusively with company wide emails, or large email groups. The responses to those made them a nuisance with constant replies appearing in everyone's in-box. This process is so much easier to sift through to find just what is important to me.

  ### 2. Efficient, Easy to Use, One Central Location for Company News

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

It's easy to use and navigate through tabs.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

The search bar could improve. Sometimes it's challenging to search for certain items.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have a central platform for our company info.

  ### 3. Great Tool for Employee Communication and Engagement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily G. | SVP, Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

We needed a company Intranet to help ensure employees had a one-stop shop for information. Since launching nearly 9 months ago, we have continued to see amazing usage and continued collaboration across our company. It has been a great way for people to see, search and post information. My favorite part is the ease of posting. I didn't want a cumbersome tool that would not get used. Haystack is the opposite - Everything is easy and user-friendly!

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

I think there could be more metrics on the backend for tracking engagement and usage. Drilling down to what is important can help my team know where we need to spend more time.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Haystack, we had emails, Teams Messages, Team Meetings, paper flyers and still people would tell us "I never heard that" or "Where can I find...?" It was a waste of HR's time to continue to re-forward and resend information. Haystack helps our employees help themselves by being an easy to tool to search for what they need. Payroll schedule? Got it. Handbook? Download and save. Holidays? Shared and there!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reeva D. | Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I like that Haystack is UX friendly and is visually appealing for the most part. It is easy to use and figure out, the help center is really resourceful. They have employee recog features and etc

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

I wish there was more customization with the visual appeal, resizing cards. A big downside is that changes cannot be only in the backend, they must be published.

Unifying the team as one and integrating different locations

  ### 9. user friendly platform

**Reviewed by:** Katelynn B. | Advancement Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I like the social media-like posts so I can remain up to date on what my coworkers are working on and what is going on in their lives. The emojis, reactions, and GIFs make it extra fun to interact with their content. It is fairly easy to teach new team members how to use and integrate it in our onboarding trainings.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

Sometimes the resource pages can get very long and the table of contents for a section is no super intuitive.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's both an informal place for our staff to communicate and interact and a place to store all resources and standard operating procedures. Really it helped us consolidate from two separate platforms before to just one.

  ### 14. Haystack is the perfect blend of simplicity and flexibility.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia P. | Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy for everyone to navigate, while also offering a wide range of customization options that allow us to tailor it perfectly to our organization's needs. Whether it's personalizing layouts or managing content as an admin, Haystack makes the experience seamless and efficient. It has allowed us to streamline the communication process between departments and employees. We have had a wonderful experience with Haystack's customer service team.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

One thing that would be super helpful would be the ability to download posts as PDFs. We distribute our newsletter to current employees as a post on Haystack, we also send the same newsletter to our retirees and board members. But I have to manually copy and paste everything into a document that I can send out to people who are not Haystack users for security reasons.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Haystack, our employees struggled to access information and communicate with other departments. Haystack gave our employees a very user-friendly platform where they can access loads of information and connect with each other. They are able to find forms, media, and details about upcoming events on our Haystack platform. Haystack is our one-stop shop for internal communications, all of our employees are trained on how to use the platform, making our jobs in the communications department a lot easier.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> It’s amazing to hear how Haystack has transformed communication and streamlined processes for your organization! We’re thrilled that the customization options and user-friendly design are making such a positive impact. Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience!

  ### 35. Centralized Site for Cross-Team and Cross-Site Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

Haystack has helped our non-profit advance from an older resource site to a much more easily navigated site to locate key resources from across multiple locations and teams. The use of the program to send weekly internal newsletters has also supported clearer communication and easier reference to past newsletters. We've been able to pull in documents from multiple sources. It is easy to navigate and an everyday tool.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

With any transition, Haystack requires some time to become familiar with it and determine the optimal ways to use. Also, getting all teams transitioned over continues to take time.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Haystack is solving the issue of needing a centralized hub to share information across teams. Our organization needed something to allow for current versions of documents/information to be easily found and accessed by network and schools.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> It’s so rewarding to hear how Haystack has become an everyday tool for your organization, streamlining collaboration and communication across teams! We’re thrilled it’s making such a positive impact—thank you for sharing your experience!

  ### 36. Better connections throughout the company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathryne P. | Manufacturing Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I love that it's a platform that everyone has access to, where they can find events, news, documents, org charts, create their own links, find contact info, etc. There are so many uses that it covers and the possibilities are seemingly endless. I also love how mobile-friendly it is. It's quick and easy to navigate, especially with the search feature.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

I haven't come across any reason to dislike Haystack so far.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication. I have direct reports and I have loved that sometimes they hear company news even before I do. It takes things off my plate and helps them feel more involved and informed.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> It’s amazing to hear how Haystack is helping your team stay connected and informed! We’re thrilled you’re finding it versatile, mobile-friendly, and a great tool for communication. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I love that all my pertient apps are easily accesible. Instead of having to use my favorites tab, I can click on Haystack and find everything I need. I use Haystack everyday!

  ### 39. A Needed Update, a New Hope for Organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I like that Haystack has more or less everything I need for work information and communication in one place. It has a good graphic layout and things make sense where they are located. Since changing from a previous software that had a lot more issues, Haystack is a big improvement.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

The only thing I've found that is lacking in Haystack is the search function. Many times, I put in a search term and feel like the results that come up are not really what I want.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Haystack is an upgrade from a previous software. I now feel that I can locate most documents I need through Haystack. Additionally, I feel more connected to other employees via the social networking features. I felt good about writing and posting something myself for my colleagues to view.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> So glad to hear Haystack has been a big upgrade for you! It’s awesome that you find it easy to navigate and that it’s helping you feel more connected to your team. That’s exactly what we aim for—thanks for sharing!

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

Honestly, I have not seen anything that I dislike yet.

  ### 42. Haystack made the switch exciting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I like how user friendly it is to use AND create. There are different options to make the page visually appealing, user-friendly, and for people to immediately access the information they're looking for. One of my favorite things is the opportunity to embed PDFs and videos, and/or link them to download. I like having the option, but frequently find embedding or doing both is best for user experience. I also love the carousel option for featured posts, and that all settings for posting and who sees it is right there at the final stage of posting, not in some back page of settings outside of posting.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

The only thing I can think of is if it didn't require a keyword to be submitted on posts/articles in order for that post/article to pull up under a search.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it more obvious where tools are - it's more user friendly and above all else, is customizable. It allows for us to create an intranet that makes sense to our employers.

  ### 43. Haystack is a Collaborative and Innovative Intranet Provider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

Some of the best ongoing customer support. I appreciate the teams' willingness to receive feedback and continually improve the platform so we can roll out new features and keep our company updates fresh! They have really taken the time to dial in all the little details, which is awesome so we don't have to. As part of our marketing team, the way our intranet app was built allows us to be creative and still informative. So much better than a mass-email distro list! The platform is easy to use from a user perspective and as an administrator. Implementing across the company was seamless. We use this every single day to stay up to date on events and notifications across the organization. We're able to easily integrate content from our socials, blog posts, etc. to keep the organization in the loop and in the know in a few simple steps. Can't recommend Haystack enough!

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

No complaints here! My experience has been great and any time there's been something that needs to be updated or fixed, as long as we communicate it, they are on top of getting it resolved.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have people in our organization all across the US. This allows us to connect with people in any state, at any time, at the click of a button. We're able to send meaningful company updates in an engaging, and powerful way.

  ### 44. Haystack is very user friendly and organized.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

Haystack is very user friendly and organized. I use it regularly.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

Nothing as of yet. I have not come across anything that I have not been able to figure out.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not sure of any problems. I think that if there are problems that goes through our IT department.

  ### 45. Everything in One Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony H. | IT Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

The best thing about Haystack is the ability to create a single hub where employees can find and access all the resources they use day to day in our business. I also like the idea of not needing to keep up with yet another password and using magic link instead.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

The document viewing section can be a bit cludgy at times but this may also be the nature of the docs we share there.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Haystack privides a central location for all the HR resources of the company including links to external resources like our money managers and health benefits. This saves countless hours of answering where those details are stored. They are in a secured web location which also brinsg peace of mind.

  ### 46. One Stop Shop for your Companies Policies, Procedures, and Updates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cat S. | Recruiting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

The drop down feature with each headline.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

Navigating and searching within haystack

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A place where all employees can find information from our policy handbook to new hire onboarding details to finding out an employees tenure. You can add loads of information.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> Thanks, Cat! It’s great to hear that Haystack is making it easier to centralize all your company’s key information! We’re so glad you’re enjoying features like the dropdowns and finding value in having everything from policies to onboarding details in one place. Thanks for sharing!

  ### 47. Information all in one place!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

My company LOVES to have documents for everything, and to be honest the information overload is a bit of a struggle. Haystack has been a game-changer. It's like having my own internal Wikipedia, but specifically for everything related to our company and products.

Instead of digging through endless folders and outdated documents, Haystack makes it so I have everything in one easily accessible place. It spans teams. So, as a writer, I can find our writing stylebook, or photo guidelines. But I also have corporate information — company holidays, office addresses, etc. Rather than a million bookmarks, I basically just have this one: my company's Haystack!

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

The only downside has been transferring information to Haystack, and getting employees to actually add to it. We still are fractured and some employees demand to put information elsewhere, like Atlassian or Google Docs. It's really only best if I know the information is in one place.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the stuff I need is in one place: benefits, time off, compensation, etc. I don't have to fish around and wait for answers, because almost everything related to the company is here.

  ### 48. Very Helpful Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany M. | Junior Copywriter, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I think it excudes organization and is extremely helpful with announcements regarding my job and team work. I never heard about it til getting hired here, but I enjoy being on it! It's user-friendly for sure and I like how often my team uses it.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

I wish sometimes I didn't have to go through a lengthy process to log in via my job.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely staying on top of tasks and being able to handle job responsibilities.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> Thanks for the review Tiffany! It’s awesome to hear how Haystack is helping you stay organized and connected with your team! We’re so glad you’re enjoying the platform and finding it helpful for your work—thank you for sharing!

  ### 49. My go-to home page for company events and updates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I usually need to know who to reach out to in which team, and the accessibility of the org chart makes this easier. It's also easy to find the different groups that I'm interested in joining.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

The notifications can get overwhelming, but only if there's a lot going on.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Announcements and updates can easily get lost in our comm channels. Haystack helps in having the top FAQs and recent updates readily available.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> So glad to hear Haystack is your go-to for staying connected! It’s awesome that the org chart and group features are making things easier for you, and that it’s helping streamline updates and FAQs. Thanks for sharing!

  ### 50. Great tool for remote working environments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan D. | Director of Strategic Initiatives, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Haystack?**

I enjoy the ease of use and gernal ability to stay better connected with other remote workers. The system is intuitive and has been highly functional since we adopted it at my company.

**What do you dislike about Haystack?**

Sometimes the content layout looks a little cluttered, although Im not sure if this is due to our specific setup or something Haystack could improve.

**What problems is Haystack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generally staying connected and in good communication with colleagues located all over the county. Internal organization communications and disseminating key updates and policies have improved.

**Official Response from Cameron Lindsay:**

> Thanks Dan! So glad to hear Haystack is helping your team stay connected and improving communication across remote locations! It’s wonderful to know it’s been such a functional and intuitive solution for your company. Thanks for sharing!
