I don't like that there's no read receipts or activity tracking for the virtual space. We can't see if a teammate has logged in and seen a physical note we left in Gather, which means we have to follow up in Slack to confirm, adding unnecessary admin work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform's audio and video system replicates the natural office experience of working side by side, promoting informal convos, teamwork, and stronger relationships that can't be achieved normally day to day when working fully remote. The integrated chat, audio, video, and screensharing capabilities also make it easier to collaborate in a more natural manner without having to juggle multiple services or tools.

The AI transcript + summaries are new in V2 and are pretty handy with all the meetings that are happening on Gather

Teams and users can create their own customized rooms/workspaces, offices, lounges, and even event spaces by using the built-in furniture, decor, and other elements (we could add our own elements too in Gather V1, not sure if we have it on V2) to reflect the team/business culture and their own preferences.

I feel like Gather V1 had more interactive elements + we could add/upload our own elements, which is not present in V2. Hopefully, they will be ported soon
