## Gather Reviews
 ### 1. Revitalized Remote Office Interactions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan P. | National Business Development Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I love how Gather solves the problem of feeling disconnected when working remotely, bringing back a sense of team interactions similar to a physical office. The customizable aspect is a big standout for me. I appreciate the ease of grabbing a side chat in a separate quiet space without setting up a formal meeting room. It's great that it tailors the experience to the interaction I'm trying to have, whether a casual chat or a more formal meeting with presentations. The setup was relatively straightforward, and the setup team was helpful.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I think sometimes it’s a bit difficult for new users to navigate and not the most intuitive layout. Although anybody who’s used it more than a couple of times seems to get up to speed. Also when we have a higher number of people in a meeting then it can become a bit laggy. I imagine that’s down to bandwidth but it can be distracting on a meeting when the video or sound are lagging.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather solves the problem of feeling disconnected when working remotely, bringing back a sense of team interactions similar to a physical office.

 ### 2. Transformed Our Team's Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emely J.

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I really like the playful interface of Gather, which allows us to decorate the virtual office according to the dates of the year, bringing a bit more personality and less rigidity to the work environment. This, to me, is very beautiful and brings a certain lightness, even though some people find it silly. However, I find this feature charming and valuable. Moreover, the new version of Gather has significantly improved the chat, making communication much easier, and I really value this ease of being able to hold video meetings simply and quickly. The AI note-taking tool is also extremely valuable for us. Before, we needed to leave Gather and use another platform like Google Meet to save our meeting notes, but now we can do everything directly in Gather, which was a crucial point for us to continue using it and even consider paying more to maintain the subscription, especially considering that we are a small team. These improvements make Gather very valuable and useful for us.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I feel that the new version of Gather has fewer options for seasonal decoration, which is something we found fun and useful for breaking the ice in meetings. The Christmas decorations, for example, were light ways to start conversations and create a more relaxed environment, and this seems less evident now. Another issue is the limited integration with other tools we use. We use Asana and it would be very advantageous for our team to have better integration of Gather with Asana, or even with ClickUp, as we are considering migrating to this platform as well. Additionally, when using the integration with Google Drive, I noticed that it was extremely slow, which ended up bothering me. Finally, the issue of AI is also not entirely clear to me, as I haven't tested it extensively, but I'm unsure about how efficient it really is in the available integrations.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather brings our team work closer, facilitates agile problem-solving, and ensures that small demands are resolved quickly. It also helps us feel less lonely at work and improves our communication.

 ### 3. Immersive Virtual Office Experience, Needs a Few Tweaks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Penny P.

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I love the unique art style of Gather, which adds a distinct and enjoyable aesthetic to the virtual workspace. The feature where the camera pops up for a person you walk by significantly enhances the feeling of human connection, making interactions feel more personal and engaging. Additionally, the immersive maps contribute to a sense of being in an actual office, despite working remotely. Real-time interaction with avatars as they move and interact in the virtual space strengthens my sense of connectedness with colleagues, replicating an office environment remarkably well. I also appreciate the quick initial setup process, which allows me to start using Gather with minimal hassle.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I find that using Gather requires a second monitor to maintain the immersion, which can be inconvenient for those who don't have an additional screen. It would be more efficient if a widget or desktop pop-up allowed me to stay connected to the virtual office in the background while working on other tasks. Additionally, the public maps feel a bit empty at the moment. Increasing the user base and having modded and verified servers would enhance the experience significantly.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gather to enhance remote work by improving the feeling of connectedness with real-time interactions, making it feel like an office environment with avatars and interactive features.

I use Gather for virtual meetings, making remote work feel more connected and interactive, and improving team collaboration with its fun and engaging workspaces.

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

Gather is a virtual collaboration platform that enables remote teams to interact in a more engaging, spatial environment. It combines video, voice, and text communication with customizable virtual spaces to support meetings, collaboration, and informal social interactions.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Gather can feel distracting for new users, and performance may lag in larger or complex spaces.

easier casual conversations without scheduled video calls
less awkward transitions between meetings and breaks
more engagement in remote collaboration

 ### 6. Innovative Virtual Office Experience, Hindered by Network Issues

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishabh P. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I like the nudging feature and interactive maps in Gather. Virtual maps make it fun to use with notice boards, conference rooms, and solo tables, offering a completely different experience from Zoom or Google Meet.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I find the network issues and load delays frustrating. It takes too much time to load sometimes, while Google Meet works for me on slow internet too. The noise reduction efficiency could also be better. Initially, it was quite confusing how tables, rooms, and characters worked, but it didn't take much time to get used to it.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather creates a virtual office for ad-hoc conversations, similar to being present in-person, eliminating the need to set up meeting links.

 ### 7. Interactive Meetings Reimagined, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel R. | Project Manager for Metaverse Worlds

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I find Gather to be an amazing tool because it feels like a game but also serves as a platform for meetings. It works seamlessly across Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, and the web, making it highly accessible. I appreciate its cool interactive features, which make meetings enjoyable and fully engaging, effectively transforming dull client meetings into fun experiences. The integration with Google Calendar makes it incredibly easy to schedule new meetings, which is a huge plus for efficiency. Moreover, Gather is remarkably easy to set up and use, which means anyone in my team can adopt it without a learning curve. It truly represents a unique approach to interaction and collaboration that I've never seen before.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I find that the price of Gather is a bit high for us. While I think it could be a worthwhile investment for a large company, for us, the cost is on the steeper side.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather provides a gamified, interactive experience for meetings, enhancing engagement with clients and showcasing deliverables in a unique way, while making scheduling easy with Google Calendar integration.

 ### 8. A Real Office in Pokémon Style—Fun and Engaging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

It's like a real office but in Pokemon-Style :)

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Only nice add on features, like more actions to do with stuff, like in Pokemon or so xD
And define a sound or notifications if someone performce an interaction in the office, like rang the sales-bell.
Define a sound that everyone in a specific meeting-room can hear if a specific person enters the room is not possible.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

That everyone in our Team works in home-office

 ### 9. Feels like a real office, just online.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pushkarr V. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I’ve tried everything - Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, Discord - nothing felt like an actual office. Gather did.

It’s not just for meetings. It feels like walking into your office - you see people, move around, tap someone on the shoulder (virtually), say “got a minute?” and start jamming on ideas.

My favourite thing? The inbuilt whiteboard.
You don’t have to open Miro or any link - just walk to a whiteboard in the space and start drawing. Super natural.

And with 2.0 , the new version, a lot has levelled up

Messaging inside Gather is now proper, almost don’t need Slack there

Google Calendar + meeting setup is smooth

Audio zones, voice settings, shortcuts - all work better

Office spaces feel more custom, more alive

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

One thing I really want back - in the old days, Gather was free for teams under 10 members. That’s exactly how I started using it. Played around, loved it, then got on billing happily.

Would love if they keep it that way - let early teams, founders, small startups try it without worrying about paying on Day 1. That’s how fans are created.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Gather solved a very real problem - how to keep my team connected without a physical office.
Zoom and Google Meet are fine for meetings, but they can’t run an 8-hour workday. No random conversations, no idea bursts, no team energy.

With Gather:

My team went fully remote, but still felt like we were working in the same space.

We saved a lot of money on office rent, furniture, electricity, travel reimbursements, etc.

No daily travel = team has more time and less burnout.

Culture didn’t die. People still bump into each other, pull someone for a quick chat, use whiteboards, do stand-ups — everything we did in a real office, but online.

Productivity went up, Zoom fatigue went down.

In short, Gather helped us work from anywhere, without losing the feeling of working together.

 ### 10. Agility, Efficiency, and Ease of Use with Gather

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allisson F.

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I really appreciate the ease that Gather provides in bringing the whole team together, even though we are spread across different states. It allows us to be close, as if we were in the same work environment. I love how Gather has helped improve our performance, as it has made our work agile and efficient. It was also very easy to set up, which is a big plus. All the microphone, video, and screen sharing parts are intuitive, and calling people for meetings is extremely smooth. Gather solves many of our problems quickly and allows us, when facing system difficulties, to call the developers for an instant meeting, share the screen, show the problem, and solve it on the spot. The chat, file sending, and meeting room functionalities are extremely useful and well implemented, which contributes to a practical and efficient user experience. I add to this the agility, practicality, efficiency, and transparency that Gather offers, factors that would definitely make me choose it again.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Nothing to declare.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gather to bring together colleagues from different states, allowing us to solve problems quickly with agility and efficiency, sharing screens and discussing in real time.

 ### 11. perfect for remote work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florian C. | Tech lead front, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

The most useful feature remains the use of virtual offices & rooms, which allows remote teams to connect as if they were in the office. Everything is designed for remote communication: virtual rooms, screen sharing, audio & video, annotations on the shared screen, or even calendar integration. We love the ease of use and the additional features that add a fun touch: the retro design, applause, karting... I've been using it for several years, and trying it is adopting it.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

the chat / messaging deserves an improvement in terms of UX / ergonomics to be more fluid in use. the performance also needs to be improved, using it in the browser requires a powerful machine

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

gather allows teams to communicate as if they were in a physical office, but remotely. Communication between teams is more fluid, and it prevents feeling isolated despite remote work.

 ### 12. Engaging Virtual Meetings with Room for Smoother Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sachin Kumar D. | Homemaker

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I like Gather’s interactive virtual office experience, which makes remote communication more natural and engaging. The proximity-based interactions and immersive layout make communication more natural and improve team engagement and collaboration. The initial setup was straightforward and intuitive, allowing us to get started quickly with minimal effort.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Performance can occasionally be affected on slower internet connections, and the learning curve for new users could be improved with clearer onboarding and guidance.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gather to improve remote communication, making team interactions more natural and engaging, which feels more connected and less formal than regular video calls. Proximity-based interactions enable spontaneous conversations, and the immersive layout enhances the sense of presence and collaboration.

 ### 13. Centralized Event Management with Robust Conflict Detection

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nina B.

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I love the clean interface and simple navigation of Gather, which keeps everything organized from inquiries to invoices in one place. The setup process was straightforward without a need for extensive coding, making it manageable and a worthy investment of time. I greatly value Gather's structured workflows, which play a central role in our resource management, allowing us to link staffing with venues effectively to avoid double bookings. The centralized resource and space booking feature with conflict detection is instrumental in ensuring that we don’t overcommit our resources for partner events, enhancing our operational efficiency. I find the integration with Realm particularly useful as it allows automatic syncing of events, which ensures enhanced coordination and data consistency. The approval workflows and conflict prevention features are remarkable because bookings can only proceed if spaces are available, providing detailed resource tracking and clear visibility of asset usage. These elements combined make Gather an invaluable tool for streamlining operations and optimizing resource utilization.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I would like to see CRM integration in Gather, as it would help reduce manual data entry. Additionally, I believe that improved customization for reporting would be beneficial. This would allow us to generate more detailed insights into resource utilization, financial metrics, and event attendance.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Gather to streamline booking processes, providing structured workflows and avoiding resource conflicts. It centralizes event scheduling and enhances resource visibility, preventing overcommitment and optimizing utilization. Its interface organizes tasks from inquiries to invoices, enabling efficient operations.

 ### 14. Intuitive Meetings with Gather's Engaging Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph G. | Senior Machine Learning Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I really like the animation style, especially the pixel art, as it kind of gamifies asking for help and makes it easier to do so. I also find Gather more intuitive compared to other tools like Zoom. It's quite easy to switch from having a group meeting to one-on-one sessions because of the segmentation and visualization of the rooms.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

From memory it wasn't very easy to record video, and share later.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather makes it easy to talk to teaching assistants by letting me know when they're free. It's intuitive for switching from group meetings to one-on-one due to the room segmentation and visualization.

 ### 18. Natural, Human Online Interactions That Make Meetings Truly Engaging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

The best thing about Gather, is how it makes online interactions feel natural and human—more like moving through a real space, drifting into conversations, and connecting spontaneously, rather than being stuck in rigid video grids. It strikes a great balance between productivity and creativity, turning meetings into experiences that feel genuinely engaging.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Gather can feel confusing for new users. It can also be laggy at times, and if the space isn’t designed well it can end up looking overly busy, which makes the experience feel less smooth than a simple video call.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather addresses the problem of boring, rigid online meetings by making them more interactive and human-like. It benefits you by enabling more natural networking, more engaging conversations, and flexible event spaces that feel less constrained.

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I like how easy Gather is to operate. It's great for making onboarding and vacation tracking a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

The Inital billing has been our only concern. Getting it fixed caused my bill to be behind which was frustrating

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather tracks vacation and simplifies employee onboarding. It's easy to operate and makes these processes straightforward.

 ### 20. Convenient for Meetings but Lacks Privacy Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I appreciate its features that allow me to mute someone if I don't want to talk to them and exit from meetings when I'm not in the mood to engage. These features help me manage my interactions according to how I feel at the moment.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I don't like that when someone sends me a Gather link, I can just click it and join without any privacy options. Also, there are some user experience difficulties. And, I find entering OTPs challenging because sometimes they come up as not valid which makes setup quite difficult for me.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather makes it easy to meet up with my friends and colleagues.

 ### 22. An all-in-one experience

Whether you're meeting with your team, attending an event, or just hanging out with friends, the platform makes it feel natural and engaging. I love how it combines the ease of video calls with the charm of a virtual space you can actually move around in.

It’s intuitive, visually fun, and surprisingly personal for a digital platform.

You can customize your space, interact seamlessly, and actually feel present with others — something most tools fail to capture. Overall, Gather offers a refreshing and complete experience that goes beyond just another meeting app.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Honestly, nothing comes to mind.

My experience with Gather has been great — everything works smoothly and feels well thought-out.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather helps solve the challenges of remote communication and collaboration by recreating the feeling of being in a shared physical space. It reduces the isolation and lack of connection that often come with remote work, allowing for more spontaneous conversations and easier teamwork.

 ### 29. Ideal for Fully Remote Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daryl R. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I am the CTO of a startup that has been 100% remote since 2021. I have tried many solutions for creating "presence" and "connection" among the team and Gather is by far the best. We use it all day every day. It uses less CPU resources than trying to keep a video sharing app open all day.

Their customizable office allows for many different ways of signaling your presence and is as close to actually being in an office as possible without being a burden. The ability to seamlessly connect with another individual or group without scheduling is a huge productivity booster.

My team loves it as well since they don't need to schedule time to speak with me. The integrated team building activities have also been a hit. 10/10

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

The only downside of Gather is in the minds of some uncreative people who find it "strange." However, if open-minded even non-tech people come to like it.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Presence and team connection.

 ### 30. Brings Fun and Professionalism to Remote Teams

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I feel like maybe the animations could have been better or something like that.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather helps us feel like we’re nearby each other, even from home, enhancing both professionalism and making remote work fun. It's like being surrounded by people, with easy access to virtual meeting rooms and break spaces.

 ### 34. Loving Gatherv2 The visuals, interactions, and new features make it more fun and immersive than ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kalley Matheus C. | Full-Stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

What I like best about Gather:
I love how fun and interactive it is. Walking around, bumping into teammates, customizing my space — it just makes everything feel more alive compared to regular video calls.

What’s most helpful about Gather:
Being able to move through different rooms and have quick chats without needing to schedule meetings is super helpful. It feels more like a real office, where you can just swing by someone’s desk.

Upsides of using Gather:
It makes remote work way less lonely. You can collaborate, hang out, and get stuff done all in the same space. Plus, the new features like the zoomed-out map and the new calendar view make it easier to stay organized and connected.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

What do you dislike about Gather?
Sometimes it can be a bit heavy on performance — especially if the map is large or has a lot of objects. It can lag a little depending on your connection or device.

What is least helpful about Gather?
Some features feel a bit hidden or not super intuitive at first. It takes a little time to get used to where everything is and how to use some tools effectively.

Downsides of using Gather:
If your team isn’t active or regularly using it, the experience can feel a bit empty. Also, it doesn’t fully replace tools like Slack or project managers, so you still end up switching platforms often.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather makes remote work feel more connected and human. It solves the problem of isolation by recreating those casual, spontaneous moments you’d have in a physical office — like quick check-ins, watercooler chats, or just seeing who’s around. That’s helped me stay more engaged with my team, communicate faster, and feel part of a real shared space, even while working from home.

 ### 35. Great software to ease up the HO life style and interact with colleagues in a fast and easy way.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin C. | Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

The way we can work in a physically-like environment with our colleagues in real time just like we were on the same place and the fact that we move around our own office space and can customize it is just great.

Also the fact that can be use to attend daily meetings and create private rooms gives it a plus we use gather everyday to start a quick chat and also even start a chitchat to storm out of the workload stress.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

The mobile app is not as useful as the desktop app, despite the fact that it was built for desktop I'll love to have the app in my phone to attend meetings and be able to move around just link in the desktop app.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The efficiency on team communication and knowing when a partner is available or not.

 ### 36. Helpful, Smooth Performance That Delivers the ROI We Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Youssef B. | Applied AI Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Gather?**

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Maybe we could focus a bit more on the brand and on how we onboard clients.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i think the quantaty and the price

 ### 37. Gather: Intuitive and Effective for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fede M. | Data and Operations Lead, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

What I like most about Gather is that it is very intuitive, easy to use, simple, attractive, and fast. We use the web version and not the app, and on the web, the sound and camera truly work very well. Additionally, the initial setup was simple, good, and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

I believe there are certain freedoms or experiences within Gather that are not optimal, particularly regarding usability and maps.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather has helped us solve synchronization problems due to different time zones and improves the work experience with a gamified approach.

 ### 38. Gather Brings Presence and Personality to Remote Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yagmur S. | Business Development Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

As a fully remote company, Gather has completely transformed the way we interact. It’s more than just a virtual meeting space, it’s a digital HQ that brings presence and personality into our day-to-day work. The ability to visualize my colleagues in real time, create and personalize office spaces, and "walk" into rooms for spontaneous conversations adds an incredible layer of connection that video calls alone can’t replicate. It’s like being able to see who's around without interrupting them, which makes remote collaboration feel natural.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

While the experience is largely positive, for new users, the interface can be a bit overwhelming at first, as there’s a learning curve when navigating large spaces or customizing rooms. However, the support team is very responsive and will assist with any questions.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gather solves one of the hardest problems for remote teams: maintaining a sense of presence and spontaneous connection. It helps eliminate the isolation of remote work by creating a persistent virtual environment where people can see each other, have ad hoc conversations, or meet in shared spaces without needing to book time or send links.

 ### 39. A much better office experience than real offices!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateus S. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

Gather is amazing! The graphics are extremely pretty and also easy on the eye, perfect for a comfortable office! Not only that but the amount of customazation for both the enviroment and the avatars are awesome! I can make the office match holidays such as christmas or halloween to make working on that enviroment more fun for my whole team!

Plus, the controls are very easy to understand so we can get started with the real work right away!

Me and my team, we use it everyday!

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

To be honest I haven't really seen any downsides so far... I guess the only thing I would like would be to have more objects to customize my desk with :)

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the lack of communication teams often have, my co-workers are always some virtual steps away from to talk to! Team gatherings are also easier to schedule and attend to, plus the notes system allows me to leave important messages even when the receiver is away!

What I liked the best about Gather is it's vision - connecting people throughout the world in a virtual workspace. People get the chance to communicate with others virtually and it's a cool way to bond and connect with colleagues especially when it comes to proximity. Gather made me realize how technology has evolved and I love the thought of this implemented in my current workspace.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Nothing that I could think of at the moment

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 ### 44. Review for Gather

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

I like that it's like a game. It's fun to use. You can customize your character/avatar, interact very easily with other users. It's the most fun and unique virtual office space I've ever had to use.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Just that, if you're required to be on the virtual office for your entire shift, it's kind of unsettling, knowing anyone can walk up to you without warning. :D At an actual office, at least you can see who's coming. But I can really see the usefulness of this if your work is completely remote.

*If there's one thing I don't like, it's the office dog being left alone at the virtual office space. We don't use Gather often and I feel bad having to always leave it behind for days on end.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team is spread out across the APAC region, so it was fun to meet them inside a virtual office.

 ### 45. A Fun and Interactive Virtual Space

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John David M. | Cybersecurity Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

Fun and immersive interaction: The 2D avatar-based environment feels like a retro game, making meetings and social interactions more engaging and less formal.

Collaborative environment: You can embed whiteboards, Google Docs, slides, and more — great for teamwork and brainstorming.

Great for events and communities: Perfect for virtual meetups, coworking spaces, online classes, and hackathons.

Customizable spaces: You can design unique environments (offices, lounges, stages, etc.), which adds to immersion and branding.

Built-in audio/video with spatial proximity: Communication is natural — the closer your avatar is to someone, the clearer the video/audio, making it feel more like real life.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

Not always productive: Some teams may find it distracting or not suitable for more formal environments.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem solved: Monotonous and exhausting video meetings.
How Gather solves it:

Interaction is lighter and more natural through 2D avatars in a virtual environment.

You can move freely and only interact with people nearby — just like in real life.
Benefit for you: Less exhausting and more dynamic for long meetings or social events with your team.

**Reviewed by:** ACCS R. | Special Programs Project Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Gather?**

Gather allows me to stay in touch with remote employees. With 2 admins, we can see where we are without having to open calendars, text, or email. Each of us helped "build" the office so it is truly our space and we have decorated our spaces to reflect our personalities. I love the ability to talk with one or both - either in chat or by voice. It was easy to get people on board and navigate the system. We use it daily to keep our messages streamlined and up to date.

**What do you dislike about Gather?**

It is not as helpful when I am traveling in a car and I wish I could get all of the staff using Gather.

**What problems is Gather solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeoing remote employees engaged and trackable without being obtrusive.
