I really love being able to see my entire team on duty, it's a considerable asset of Gather. The ease of creating exchanges is an aspect I also appreciate. Also, the fact that Gather is connected to GitHub is a big plus, it's quite convenient for us. I also found that being able to move around, go into a room, and have a meeting is incredible. I find the mobile application aspect really problematic. When someone is no longer at their post and I send them a message, they absolutely must be connected in Gather, otherwise they miss the message. I believe the application is still in version one and the new one is not yet available. Moreover, I have to use Slack because I cannot yet connect Gather with other notifications. Working remotely feels very different than working in person in the office. Having Gather allows me to walk over to my colleagues’ desks and interact with them. It’s nice seeing everyone at their desks, chatting and working, and then being able to jump into a quick call so easily. No more Google Meet link setups—just hop over to someone’s desk. I love the user interface of Gather. It's playful, you can customise the whole office space and your own desk, making it look "like you". When you have a slower internet connection it doesn't work as well. What I would really like is for it to work better on the app. It's very hard to join a meeting from the app. It doesn't seem to work very well for us, which is a shame because occasionally, you'll have to take a meeting while you're on the go. One of the things I like about Gather is its easy entry gateway; it reminds me of the online video game Habbo Hotel, and I find the aesthetic appealing. I enjoy being able to meet and talk to people while also having the option to share my screen, which makes it easy to showcase what I'm trying to solve. I love that you can play leisure activities, like listening to the same music with a coworker, have chats, and share links or relevant information. I feel like the office space build scenario is still a little bit wonky. It doesn't necessarily allow people to go and, when you're putting stuff in there, they behave like plain objects. You can put stuff above and people can even cover it depending on the audio wall. I feel like the personalization aspect of things could be improved. This is more about the visual experience of the app. Also, the new pricing system is probably something I don't think is as attractive, and because of this, we no longer use Gather for our team of over 50 people as we didn't get the paid workspace. It'd be nice to get bigger spaces. It would be nicer to have spaces that could fit 15 rooms as opposed to 10 for those extra large events. Some of the room building could be made a little bit easier in terms of building walls and stuff like that and making total custom rooms. That could be a bit easier. I think that being very similar to a video game, the roles that can 'create' and edit the map expect to have more cool functions to decorate or use interactive objects, etc.; the technical and communicative aspect is well covered for now, but in this factor that differentiates them, they can still add and improve many things. I like that Gather is gamified instead of just being a serious corporate app. It keeps things casual in the office and helps the team actually feel like they're having fun while working. I think the chat system is not there yet. I think they're trying to reinvent the wheel. It'll be better if they could, bring external chat apps like Microsoft Teams chat and Outlook Calendar. Connect to Microsoft, for example. And bring Teams in together instead of creating their own version of chat. The same with the AI notes. I think if they allowed external AI notetakers to join the meetings, it'll actually be better than trying to innovate in the same space that is already overcrowded. And it'll be great if you could also hold webinars and not only, like, as small meetings or you could do, like, office hours with an open link and just have people walking into your office weekly.
