Fly.io is the best deployment platform I've used for Elixir/Phoenix applications. The CLI is intuitive, deployments are fast, and the London region means low latency for my UK users. The automatic HTTPS, built-in metrics and the ability to scale to zero make it perfect for indie SaaS projects. Deploying a Phoenix app takes minutes, not hours. The main limitation is the number of available regions — I'd love to see Poland added as a deployment region for better latency for Central European users. The documentation can sometimes be inconsistent between the new and old platform versions which caused some confusion during initial setup. Pricing can also be hard to predict for smaller projects. Before Fly.io I struggled with complex server configuration and slow deployment pipelines. Now I can deploy a new version in under 2 minutes with a single CLI command. The built-in metrics and logging mean I spend less time debugging infrastructure issues and more time building features.
