Fortunately, Payara Server was able to help me quickly run the Jakarta Security 3.0 specification with Auth0 for my university project. I successfully integrated openid-connect in my project thanks to the Payara Server. **What do you dislike about Payara Server?** At first, I found it a bit challenging to use Payara Server compared to Eclipse GlassFish. We use Payara for both internal and external web apps. Payara makes deploying our dozens of Jakarta apps easy and provides features and options that make any implementation possible. Some of these can have a million or more transactions per day, and Payara never has even a hiccup. Honestly, I don't think a single bug or issue has been tracked back to Pyara, always programming/networking/etc. other errors. It's nice to have one piece of infrastructure that's reliable. Maybe possible in Enterprise edition? Once you install and get it runnig (which isn't a very complex task even for production environments) you can completely forget about it. It just continues to work. No problems out of the box. There's ample documentation on their website and the forum is pretty responsive. It supports all the latest Jakarta EE specifications. "Stickiness in production" is a term I use to describe the longevity of applciations that run within enterprise and business environments. It simply reflects the time since the application is deployed and continues to work without any issues. It can easily be a couple of years before you'd need to get back to the server to update it. This is of course barring security patches and updates which will force you to upgrade your environment sooner. The forum is a great place to get answers. Of course, if you're on the enterprise tier,t hen there's a super responsive and knowledgeable support team to help you out of any complex issues. There's numerous integration choices with different identity providers and database systesm. Since we introduced encrypted connection in our local network, the console (4848) doesn't start or pause the instances anymore.
