**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

the logical flow, navigation of GUI, easy to use GUI, easy to install. Oracle did a good job in automated the installation. Even my mom can do it. So it doesn't need lots of skills in order to manage it.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

Not much that I dislike, ever since Oracle acquire BEA, the installation process is easy and consistent. The path of home is consistent named by version, very nice and orgranized.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

Weblogic is easy to use, not like Apache, Websphere. It is the easiest and more productive app server among all these.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

app server that serves requests. Benefit is stable, scalable, can set up a cluster for scalability. The simple GUI increase proiductivity of adminsitrator and thus reduce admin time and cost overall. Whereas on the other hand using APache has a deep learning ucrve, spend lots of time to learn and type commands. The thing is many admin manage lots of applicatin, not just one. Weblogic totally allow an admin to manage many differnt apps without actually spend too much time on learning.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

Based on my experience Oracle WebLogic is a powerful platform for deploying different kinds of applications. We use WebLogic in our company for many years, and I can say it is a good middleware choice for the corporate environment. Before Oracle WebLogic, we had many problems with a previous application server, because it used to crash often. The real power of Oracle WebLogic is its extensibility and flexibility. You can, for instance, install the SOA server as a managed server and connect it to the base domain or create a whole new domain.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

The concept of the Oracle Fusion Middleware including WebLogic might be simplified. There are so many choices and options available in this concept, and it would be much easier to understand the whole concept if the high-level picture is properly communicated with customers instead of all possibilities it offers. Many customers don't need all components for their use. As a user/customer you need to invest a lot of time initially to understand all the features.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

Oracle WebLogic is a very good choice for enterprises with a lot of different applications. I would recommend this product for corporate information systems and heterogeneous environments.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing different kinds of applications in the corporate heterogeneous environment.

  ### 22. Easy and intuitive web server for all your applications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shraddha B. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

The best thing which I like about weblogic is that how easy it is to deploy my jar on it.
Apart from that, the logs are very descriptive about deployment success or failure.
Also, the presentation of messaging queues is very understandable and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

At time, the server takes forever to start. I could not see anything in the logs. I had to force kill the server.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

1. Restart of server is quite time taking, if something can be done to reduce that time, it would be great.
2. Also, while creating a new JMS queues, initially there might be some confusion to a new user. A more simpler and explanatory documentation would be helpful.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used it at my office to deploy my code on Oracle Weblogic. Our services were hosted on it and JMS queues were used for communication between parties.

  ### 23. Excellent Middle ware Solution , with reliable control management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noman G. | Head Enterprise Application Development , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

As we are using this middle ware server since more than 4 years where owner of this tool has startup market or launch. Before this we are using oracle application server but we migrate it as support gone expire. Web logic is very much stable and robust structure to compare with other middle ware tools. We normally use to deploy apex application on it , and believe me performance is gone very high as this is doing auto load balancing. It may supports Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL Enterprise as well which very much helpful of a company which want single source of middle ware. High availability, failover, and load balancing using clusters are key feature of this product.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

Installation and Configuration is much complex, we cannot do by ourselves before going to trained. But when we gone through then application deployment is easy and can be done from the admin console.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

As configuration is much difficult so trained your resource before implementation.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before this we are using application server which very complex and not easy to maintain. further we have to take manual backup which hurt our database team. Further, no monitoring tool available so visibility was the issue. Additionally, performance also very circuital. Thus, Web logic solve above all issue.

  ### 24. Weblogic Application Server

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

ease of use, product over the years have added good features yet UI and most processes stay the same

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

oracle support and knowledge from reps that are assigned SR's. Takes a very long time to get knowledgable help from Oracle that can resolve issues. Many times need to ask for escalation but need to call in to ask for management to do this. We are still thinking about third part Oracle Support like Rimini Street. This along with patching older products with BSU and security updates that come out are too often an inbetween.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

weigh all products that you are looking at for what you need, Weblogic or Webpshere may be too expensive and Jboss may not do what you need. Support is a very big deciding factor

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we use WL for our applications that reside on BI, Identity Governance

  ### 25. Oracle Weblogic- The best app server around

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

The main power comes to be the scalability of the applications implemented in Oracle WebLogic Server.

Oracle WebLogic Server allows me to define different points of access to data sources, including the creation of a multiple connection focused on facilitating access to data.

Integration of very simple applications. Your use of WSLT is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

Licensing model is complex.
Oracle WebLogic Server is based on a previous user interface. Therefore, it does not include the latest representation updates. Therefore, its domain at the graphic level is much lower compared to other servers.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Oracle WebLogic Application Server for hosting a few Java enterprise applications. Some of the applications are mission critical while some of these applications are lightweight reporting tools. We are using this across multiple projects although in some of the other projects we are also using Red Hat Jboss for the same purpose.

  ### 26. Nice Application server

I like the simplicity in the console which allows easy interaction in
-starting/stopping servers
-setting up the data sources
-deploying my application
-creating servers from two different machines

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

-I have issues with server clustering , it's not working as expected
-I had a problem when i created two servers with the same port number, it hanged and didn't inform me that i have another server with the same port

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

WebLogic is stable and reliable.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

deploying my point of sale application,

  ### 27. WebLogic 12c App Server

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teresa D. | Programmer Analyst Advisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

Super easy to configure and very stable. We use it for J2EE web apps and for JMS message consumers.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

That it has to be installed. Our company is leaning more towards apps that just run anywhere, like SpringBoot.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for custom apps for which there is no vendor product available on the market.

  ### 28. A very complete application server

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

I think Weblogic is very powerful and very complete. It covers most important thing in a JEE Application Server besides specific Oracle things that are very useful. Something is useful to legacy. Something is useful for modern applications. In conclusion: an excellent application server.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

I think the price would by more attractive. I thing this product a little expensive. But considering its valuable characteristics seems to bee good.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration among several teams. Corporate portal, reports and deploy of some applications that are important to business. Performance is very adequate for us too.

  ### 29. Stable Solution

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

I have been working with Weblogic for several years - and between versions, the product is usually realiable and stable.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

When using additional products along with weblogic, you are forced to use an Oracle Database, which means additional licensing and infrastructure costs. It would be great if postgres/mysql was supported.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

As long as you plan and design your infrastructure and configuration beforehand you should be in for a stable reliable product.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are primarily using Weblogic Service Bus - and what we are seeing is more stability and scalability

  ### 30. Deployment through weblogic is easy and simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

The number steps to deploy the build through weblogic are very few and it takes very less time to push the build to lower environments, deployment through automation integration is effective and saves manual efforts to do the same job again and again, last successful build can be revoked in no time

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

There are still unnecessary steps to deploy the builds which should be clubbed or remove to make the deployment process simple, the heap size set makes apps slow during high traffic to the apps

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To deploy the build, to set the data parameters and heap size and versioning control of apps to be deployed

  ### 31. Flexibility and reliability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

I like the high availability setup features with setting up HA.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

Hard to fine certain screens. It seems like some features are hidden under different tabs and if you do not know where to look it can be hard to find

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High availability

what I like about this program is that it is easy to use and its flexibility when using it is great.

What I do not like about this program is its design, but it's not very bad on my part. It's the only bad thing that I see him in reality.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

the truth, if I recommend the program a lot because it is very practical and reliable.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me in the development of three programs

  ### 33. wevlogic review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

Working in a constitute tool where you actually control your application. Even the service provider are the best vendor in the market for the maintenance. Even for the security purpose it release security patches to apply on tools to keep it secure and trustable.

**Reviewed by:** Fevzi K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

I am an Oracle ACE and working with Java Application Servers more than 12 years. What makes Oracle WebLogic is gives the whole infrastructure layer for building world class JavaEE applications. Oracle WebLogic is also the first multitenant Java application server to support PaaS for SaaS. We use this feature to decrease the operation costs event in production systems. Oracle always publishes the roadmap for WebLogic and it will make us more comfortable for the feature.

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

Actually nothing. But honestly I can say the startup times of FMW products could be more faster.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

If you have mission critical Java application then the hosting solution should be Oracle WebLogic.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We gain the power for making live Java threads more visible on JVM and Oracle WebLogic offers a lot of workaround for the performance bottlenecks.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dheeraj P. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

We extensively use weblogic's JMS feature to process billions of critical messages every quarter. We rely on our apps communication through the JMS with an uptime of 99.99 for years. It gives our developers and Project owners peace of mind for those messages to be delivered .

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

The complexity of this to make it happen on cloud. As much as we love the weblogic JMS feature we want to move to cloud and lack of weblogic SAAS model is a disappointment.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

Solid product for your Applications for hosting or for for JMS infrastructure.

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From Payments to shipments to tracking the delivery we use Weblogic as our infrastructure,

**What do you like best about Oracle WebLogic?**

Easy to navigate the admin console. I can find information easily on the web.The logs are easy to manage but hope the configurations of these logs can easily be updated, especially their locations. Otherwise the binary folder can be very large. The http(s) server is self managed so I don't have to trouble shoot the 404 common problems as I did before for Jboss. Its soapgateway doesn't have the many problems as for jboss. Hope there are some graph gui as in Jboss. Thanks

**What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?**

Hope there are more knowledge base/ training for weblogic from Oracle. More handson trainings! It will be nice the admin console has the similar graph gui as for Jboss. Its logs can be too large.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:**

More Gui support as for Jboss

**What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for our ERP system. it has fewer issues than the older jboss.
