I love the "Log my time" tab the best! I love how you can color code different projects. I also love how easy it is to look at what you have coming up for the week using the "This week" view and logging your time that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Float.com tells me exactly what I need to work on and how long I need to work on it, and gives me an overview of what everyone else is working on. The information is accessible and easy to read. It reflects out of 40 hours in a work week but it can't compute when there are more than 8 hours on a specific day of the week. E.g. It might be 40 hours over the course of a work week, but if you have less than 8 hours on a specific day and more than 8 hours on another day, it will flag that you're under hours. I like seeing everything all at once and knowing when someone has too much on their plate for the week. We use Float for project-based work week after week and go over it with our project managers. I’d love a master calendar that shows all our clients, who’s working on each project, and when things are due, with updates that connect. It would also be great if Float.com connected to our Microsoft tools, like Copilot, Teams, and Outlook, so project changes and schedule updates showed up live. I use Float.com to keep track of my daily bookings and hours, and to see an overview of the projects I’ve worked on. I really like color-coding projects because it helps each one stand out visually. It’s really easy to use: I can see my schedule and other people’s schedules, move blocks from one day to another, edit descriptions, and add tags for the tasks I’ve been working on. It’s handy to have everything in one place, and the experience feels much smoother than the previous fiddly system. Setup was very easy and straightforward. I wish I could see my schedule and someone else’s at the same time. I have to click the filter, and it would be nice to keep my schedule fixed at the bottom while I scroll through other people’s schedules above it, then reduce that window when I’m done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Float’s tracking capabilities within my own schedule. They help me keep an eye on how much time I’ve spent on different tasks in a given week, and know how many hours I need to bill across different projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think a lot of things about Float’s interface are clunky, and important information is hard to find. It can take clicking through five different pages to see how many hours are budgeted for analysis on a project. Float’s automatic time allocation across the week feels nonsensical—for example, it spreads two hours of reporting across all five days. I’d like to see how many hours I’ve used and have left on a project in one click, see if people staffed on a project are swamped in a given week, and customize my task types so I can track how much time different analyses and reports take.
