Extensis Connect is easy to use for installing fonts temporarily or permanently, and you can also deactivate them when you don’t need them. In this app, it properly deactivates the other font types and installs the exact font type I want, so the files and graphic files open easily without any issues. The auto-activation plugins are reliable and simplify cross-project font management, ensuring fonts are activated precisely when they are needed across my entire design environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Extensis Connect? The service is highly unreliable due to its lack of offline functionality. If Extensis/Cloudflare servers go down, the product is unusable, severely disrupting workflow. Crucially, despite being a cloud service, there is no customer backup facility. The subscription model is misleading because the company fails to clearly state that the customer is solely responsible for all data backups. The documentation provided for self-backup is extremely poor, outdated, and required weeks of customer pressure (my own effort) to force the company to acknowledge and partially update. The primary problem Extensis Connect solves is font overload and workflow disruption by providing reliable auto-activation within design applications. This benefits me by ensuring that only the specific fonts needed for a current project are active, thereby avoiding system slowdowns caused by having thousands of unused fonts simultaneously loaded. Cloud based gives me peace of mind. Being able to help others within the company navigate and setting up custom folders for our clients. I use Connect Fonts everyday. Suitcase Fusion allows you to gather all the fonts you need for a project(s) in one place without needing to be connected to its source. Extensis has been key in my workflow since college. Its been easy to use, and straight forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Extensis Connect? Over the years Extensis has been slow in innovation, the software has become slower and unnecesarily complicated. Their website platform is terrible, unintuitive, confusing, unorganized, and impossible to navigate. Their support has been some of the worst I've had to deal with over these last few years, with them making it very dificult for using to solve problems. Their pricepoint has become too expensive for too little innovation and highly bloated software. I absolutely do not recommed extensis or any of their platforms. As a designer, having those fonts easily accessible is essential. It also allows me to have sets of fonts for each project so I don't have to search for fonts. The fact that fonts are 'auto-activated' whenever they're required. Fonts are easy to search and find and also the integration of other fonts such as Adobe fonts.
