"Perfect for sharing a library with several people"
What do you like best about FontBase?

The "watching folder" function allows you to stream the contents of a folder and manage activations. This enables 2 or more users to share a font library on Dropbox, for example. This option allows you to manage the organization within the folder yourself. Thus, if you decide to change software, you never lose your organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

The grouping by family is very mediocre. It would be necessary to add the possibility to group the elements manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"FontBase is an ideal solution for multiple PC users."
What do you like best about FontBase?

As a multi-PC user, I like easy access to all of my fonts regardless of whether I am at work, home, or wherever. FontBase does a great job of not only organizing and managing my font libraries but also allows me to sync those fonts to any device with the software installed. I also lhow way you can easily integrate with Google Fonts, and activate and deactivate fonts easily. I am overall very impressed with with softwareware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

I will say it was not intuitive when I started using it. I was initially going to give it 8 stars when I first was using it, but over time I have realized that it works amazingly and my assumptions were the issues with the UI, not the design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"FontBase is a dream for designer. Best Font Manager"
What do you like best about FontBase?

FontBase is a boon to a designer. You can search any font in it. It has the most extensive library. You can also change the style of the font if you require. It is fast and has a beautiful UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

I've been using Fontbase for the past few weeks and haven't found any issue yet. I will update later if I find any. It's free and quite easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Organization for Fonts"
What do you like best about FontBase?

What I like about FontBase is the simplicity of the app. Fonts are easily organized in the sidebar by main folders and nested folders. Enabling and disabling fonts is a breeze by clicking on the green or open dot next to the font. The ability to preview the font's characters is beneficial as well. It allows you to test the look and feel of the font before activating it for your design program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

There's not much to dislike about FontBase. I went with FontBase because it's free. The only thing that would make me even happier with the app would be auto-activation. I know this is a feature of the paid version though, so I could upgrade. I don't use the app enough to have a need for a paid version. For what the free version is, it does all I need. If I were doing design on a daily basis and had a need to enable/disable fonts all the time, I would definitely want the paid version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Having any font on the go..!"
What do you like best about FontBase?

It provides a wide variety of Font styles and has a very sleek UI for that too. It is easy to set up and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

Nothing too big to dislike but there's a suggestion to add more categories or group fonts in more different categories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for font organization, but takes some time to set up"
What do you like best about FontBase?

As someone that does a fair amount of brand management in the development world, as well as UI/UX design, it is nice to be able to organize fonts for projects into easy-to-find and use (and share) groupings. I really appreciate the apps and the ability to connect to some of the more popular foundries. I am an Adobe user and its integration with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is pretty great. I also like how the recently used font list gives me a good idea of the ones I use a lot, and maybe ones I never use and could probably get rid of.

In addition, the integration with Google fonts is fantastic and really helps those that use Google Fonts regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

Not a whole lot. The search is pretty powerful and there are a lot of great tools. Getting set up at first took some time, mostly because I have thousands of fonts available, but as you begin using it, I just started slowly making collections based on projects, and over time it organically organizes a lot of your fonts. "Great font library for creatives"
What do you like best about FontBase?

I use before most of the font library softwares but fontbase is really different. First of all it has a nice and touchy design and very good view for seeing and selecting fonts. You can add folders, and organize them. You can create watch folders and you can forget the software at background work. I think this should be what makes a good software good. Another beauty is that you can access the google font family directly and make font selections easily without using any internet browser. I'm seriously amazed that such a good program also offers its best features for free. It also has a paid membership and you can use more of its features by paying a small amount per month. I've been using the free version for 1 year and still very happy. I recommend it to everyone. Especially if you don't want to get lost in fonts, it's an application that will save you a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

It wouldn't be right to say I don't like it, but maybe the only issue that will make it even better is that it is not integrated into a cloud system. perhaps you can create a live font archive by uploading the watched folder to a cloud system and introducing it to fontbase on each device. "Free Version seems to work well"
What do you like best about FontBase?

I like that you can sort the fonts into categories. So when I'm looking for a particular type of font, I can just look through those to find the right fit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

If I forget to open the FontBase application on my computer, my fonts won't load when I open my files. I guess that's how it's supposed to work, but it bugs me every time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Entry-Level Font Management App"
What do you like best about FontBase?

FontBase is quicker than most fonat management programs, both on starting up and in running searches, as well as identifying newly added fonts. The plugins for Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are also speedy in identifying and activating missing fonts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

I really don't like the idea of making a font management program a subscription product, for any price-point. I also have issues when it comes to dealing with fonts in multiple folders in multiple locations as you cannot easily identify which assets are in which folders because of how the app automatically names the libraries and won't let you change them. "Great font manager!"
What do you like best about FontBase?

I like that it's a lightweight desktop application and opens in seconds. Sometimes I open a logo file in illustrator and realize I'm missing a font. With Fontbase on my taskbar it activates about 2000 custom fonts on my system without having to install them. I actually use this product frequently and it's a lifesaver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FontBase?

I love most of the features I just wish it had a more open folder system. I'd like to associate specific fonts with a particular client or purpose, perhaps a note section tied to each font. Other than that, this app works perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
