One can also try its features first with its free version. **What do you dislike about RightFont?** The price seems a little high for the features it provides. **What problems is RightFont solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it for text within my image designs and video typescripts and 3d content. It helps me choose a sleek style for the designs. ### 2. It makes added, enabling and disabling fonts easy, often right form the applications I use most. **What do you dislike about RightFont?** There doesn't seem to be an easy way to manage duplicate fonts (not that I've found anyway). **What problems is RightFont solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having an insane list of fonts to scroll through in Photoshop or Illustrator can make finding what I need really tough. RightFont's made it a lot easier to manage my library and sped up the process of font selection for my projects. It's also allowed me to disable some of the system fonts that I simply don't use (like the dozens of other language fonts), which has streamlined my application font lists even further. ### 3. Easily add new fonts. Easily navigate to fonts files in the finder. It comes with some pre-created categories but makes it easy for you to create your own categories and subcategories of fonts. **What do you dislike about RightFont?** You get what you pay for. RightFont does not integrate with other apps to activate fonts automatically. I wish there were a way to preview a font before importing it into the app. One noticeable missing feature is the ability to activate a complete font family. You can activate an entire library, or you can activate individual fonts within that library, but you can't activate the family all at once. **Recommendations to others considering RightFont:** RightFont is a no-nonsense utility. As such, don't expect too many bells and whistles. However, it runs smoothly with no hiccups and does most of what I want it to do. Give it a try! **What problems is RightFont solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using a corporate-provided computer, and within my organization, very few people see the need for font management. I've been a user of Suitcase from way back, and it's always been a useful tool. When I switched over to my work computer full time, I brought my copy of Suitcase with me, but eventually, an OS upgrade rendered my version of Suitcase unusable. I thought I'd give another utility a try. ### 4. Some of RightFont's more expensive competetors have activation plugins that simply do not work, so that feature cannot be beat. **What do you dislike about RightFont?** Not a way to activate entire font families, you have to activate individual weights. This is kind of annoying, but I guess it keeps me from activating fonts I won't actually use! **What problems is RightFont solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed something beyond the basic system font manager, but wasn't willing to get past the hefty price tags of competing products. I am a one man shop, so keeping my operating costs down is very important to me. RightFont allows me instant font activation and deactivation at an affordable price. ### 5. The fonts are easy to install no need for training. If we want to activate/deactivate the fonts, the user does it quickly. **What do you dislike about RightFont?** Integration with other applications is a major concern. There are some minor bugs as well which need to be rectified. It should be available for Windows as well. **What problems is RightFont solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can easily manage my fonts; I tend to efficiently manage the type of font required for a particular task. Simple to use. **What do you dislike about RightFont?** Tested it for a couple weeks and though it had some bugs we decided to use it for our small office of designers. Then bugs started appearing. First, shared libraries: Didn't work for large libraries shared on cloud (Dropbox). Would work for a few font families, but when we tried our full sets and it failed to update, failed to preview, failed to activate fonts for individuals. I'd see about 10% of the fonts that should have been accessible. We tried trashing the cache, rebuilding the font libraries (many times), reinstalling the app, etc... No luck. Works well for local, personal libraries, though. Other problems were relatively minor but included lag after installing more than a few thousand fonts. We're still using it in our group, working out hiccups. Overall, Rightfont works as well as Extensis Suitcase and is much more affordable. I also get the feeling that there will be fewer worthless updates and fewer attempts at gouging existing customers. Hopefully they will continue growing. **Recommendations to others considering RightFont:** Test it thoroughly before you use it for larger font collections. We have about 25k fonts in our library and it had a hard time handling those in a cloud sharing environment. Might've been the combination of Dropbox and RightFont, but the library sharing just didn't perform for us after many tries. But smaller libraries shared fine, and it was able to handle our full library if it was not shared. So we're still using RightFont in place of Suitcase as we try to work out the remaining bugs. **What problems is RightFont solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tried to solve the problem of shared libraries for teams. Have not realized these benefits yet, but hope to work out the problems. ### 13.
