Amazing backend for tracking accounting and inventory automation **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2025 **What do you like best about Excede?** Amazing backend for tracking accounting and inventory automation. **What do you dislike about Excede?** Lacks basic functions for anybody that isn't a corporately owned dealership. Such as quantity in bins. No integrated cross referencing only "substitutions". there's so many extra steps involved to do basic things other programs do in a couple of clicks. **What problems is Excede solving and how is that benefiting you?** More detailed accounting, and inventory automation. ### 2. Unlike other DMS environments, Excede is fully Windows GUI based with a SQL backend. The interface is very similar to Windows Explorer with it's folder-type structure. They put a lot of focus on their customers' needs and the true functionality of the software. Even though their company is small, they put a ton of time into development and application functionality. Price point for the product is good based on the ROI. **What do you dislike about Excede?** Sometimes their development team is slow to implement fixes. This could be improved with more development staff. Their after-hours cost is quite pricey, but even with the cost it's nice to have someone available if you need them. They do a lot of hands-off which I would prefer more assisted and hands-on. **Recommendations to others considering Excede:** Train, train, train. Establish SOLID SMEs and don't let them leave for at LEAST a year. Develop a solid training plan for new-hires. Have 1-2 dedicated staff members to support the product if you want to be efficient with it. **What problems is Excede solving and how is that benefiting you?** Upgrade from ADP DMS.
