# What Is the Top-Rated Health Care Software for Small Multi-Specialty Clinics Managing Patient Records and Billing?

Hi G2 folks. Small multi-specialty clinics need records and billing working together without hiring a dedicated IT person, and one confirmed Leader in Health Care is built specifically for independent practices at that scale.

Tebra (previously Kareo and PatientPop) combines certified EHR, charting, e-prescribing, scheduling, and billing in one system, with reviewers specifically praising easy charge capture that makes comparing visit notes against billing codes fast and accurate. Worth being direct about a serious complaint on record: one clinic describes clinical and billing access being cut off for over a week due to a payment dispute, with continued billing and collection attempts for months afterward, worth asking about directly during a sales conversation.

Would be useful to hear from small multi-specialty clinics directly here: did records and billing actually staying in sync save real administrative time, or did reconciling the two still take manual double-checking?

On the records and billing question, what stands out is that the check happens inside the workflow. Tebra's charge capture puts the visit note next to the charge so a biller can compare them in a couple of clicks, which makes the double-check part of the normal billing step instead of a separate reconciliation pass afterward. For a small clinic without a dedicated IT person, having charting, e-prescribing, scheduling and billing in one system seems to be the real draw.
