What do you like best about Crownpeak Universal Consent Platform (formerly Evidon)?

The champion feature of this tool? It's their customer support!

Man, they are quick, always on to the point! Hell! they even throw you the "Here is whats wrong with your dumb code" at your face, with a neat screenshot! (In a good way! Helps us figure out what's wrong in our code just like that!)

The tool UI is great, its quite easy to navigate around the tool. Setting up the configuration step by step, each one dedicated to one particular aspect is such a great user experience.

Ability to duplicate any style, any translations, saves tons of time. The editable CSS on styling elements on a banner/button/barrier/options dialog proves the flexibility of the tool.

Auto trimming of https:// is so cool!

Rework on the configured sites is such a breeze!

They don't even break a sweat when you ask for a new feature/improvement on the tool! (I'm not sure if this involves an extra cost)

What do you dislike about Crownpeak Universal Consent Platform (formerly Evidon)?

The random errors(of course no error is a random error) at the middle of the configuration steps tell us there is an error but gives no details on that error, and we would have no idea what the error is for!

Auto trimming of https:// is a great feature, but what happens if one of the staging sites you are configuring in the tool starts with 'https-shopify..', which reads as 'https://https-shopify...' in a browser's search bar?

Well the tool somehow double trims 'https' and ruins the URL name itself by trimming out the 'https-'(part of the URL name) ! Yes, this needs a fix!

Remember the translations? They are great until they are not! While the banner translations are great, the category translations are a big bummer! There is only one set of category translations for a particular language, and all the sites in the world using the same language have to use the same set of translations!

Since we work on about more than a thousand websites, for 100+ markets with 100+brands, each one needs a different category translation!

This has to be as smooth as banner translations.

Also, the category translations trim out anything after a double quote! Yes, let's imagine the translation says: **Hey, "What is "GDPR?"**, after publishing the translations, the same sentence would look like this: **Hey, "**!

Also, they are a bit slow in adding new languages to the tool for translations! Like Hindi, took a while after we asked the team about the requirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Crownpeak Universal Consent Platform (formerly Evidon):

If you got lots of sites and need them to have a uniform consent banner, Evidon is the place. Even if you don't have a lot but some sites, and if uniformity matters, again Evidon is the right place.

You don't have to break a sweat thinking about the customer support, they are lightning-fast. Even when you ask for new features! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Well tonnes of Cookie consent banner problems!

We own more than a thousand websites along with their corresponding staging websites! Imagine all of the markets/brands had their own way of displaying the cookie banners! Could have been a nightmare right?

Evidon helps us setup/rework/reconfigure/ all these sites in one place! Just being at the "Manage" tab is such a relief!
