We signed up for Event Owl, planning only to use it for one virtual event, but ended up running about 20 virtual/blended conferences. It was one of the few platforms that offered unlimited events. They were also very hands-on during the conference, with tech support both for staff and our attendees. The ability to control access to sessions (user login) was another selling point. This virtual event platform makes attendance tracking hands-off for our staff and puts the attendees in charge of their attendance documentation. After the conference is over, attendees can download their certificate of participation. There are also plenty of opportunities to recognize sponsors. The leaderboard feature is a great way to encourage attendees to visit exhibit booths, enter codes, and complete surveys. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there were more features available for networking opportunities, and I wish the Zoom redirector worked better for people who don't have the Zoom desktop app. Setup left a lot to the imagination, so some templates and built-in editors would be nice. Setting up a virtual exhibit hall was challenging as some features made sense for in-person events rather than virtual. The mobile app doesn't offer the same functionality as the website, and the website only works correctly on certain devices. Screen resolution also plays a factor in a user's experience.
