# What are the best transactional email platforms for startups sending both system and marketing email at scale?

Hi, founders, growth folks and G2 reviewers who run both the password resets and the newsletter off the same stack. I am after the best transactional email platforms for startups sending both system and marketing email at scale, and would value input from people who have pushed real volume through one.

The tension in this category is that the two kinds of mail behave differently. A campaign that lands in promotions is a bad day. A password reset that lands there is a support ticket and a churned user. Three that come up most:

Brevo (4.5) runs transactional mail over SMTP and API alongside marketing campaigns on the same contact list, which reviewers describe as avoiding two tools and two databases entirely. On lower tiers a daily sending cap applies, so teams that send in bursts rather than steadily should check that first.

Customer.io (4.4) triggers messages off product events, with the full event payload available for personalisation across email, SMS, push and webhooks. It rewards planning your attribute schema early, since reviewers say near-duplicate attributes are awkward to clean up later.

Netcore Email API (4.4) is built around delivery volume and inbox placement, with SMTP or HTTP integration and real-time tracking on individual sends. Reviewers find the dashboard takes some learning before the reporting is easy to navigate.

<p>Password resets, access requests, and routine troubleshooting are exactly the tickets teams hope AI agents can absorb without another headcount request. The question is how far the current ITSM platforms can actually take a request before a technician has to step back in.</p>
