Searching for emails was always a drama in other email clients, but in eM Client this is no issue! Also, the agenda tab allows for needless switching between emails and appointments. You can even make an appointment / meeting directly from an email by right-clicking it. **What do you dislike about eM Client?** The downside is that eM Client is a paid email service, opposed to free email clients like gmail. Also it could be helpful to add in a FAQ section directly in the email program, instead of redirecting the user to an internet page. I find eM Client a nice, well-rounded and customisable choice of email software; nothing particularly special. **What do you dislike about eM Client?** Although still installed, I rarely use the platform anymore, primarily due to the fluctuating lag it seemed to cause for me despite a relatively good spec PC. Frequent sync or connection issues with Google. I used this for gmail and outlook accounts; google email,calendar and contacts with only email for the outlook.com account. unfortunately my work security rules prevent its use on my work account. i would love to see what a mobile client from emc would do! **What do you dislike about eM Client?** syncing can lag behind that of web clients and mobile clients. logging into pc in the mornign, the em client seems to stop syncing over night when the pc sleeps and never start up again. deleting a message on a web or mobile client can take almost an hour to reflect in em while showing almost immediately between (for instance) gmail's web client and the ios native email application; sometimes em must be restarted to show changes made in other clients however changes made in em reflect promptly in other clients. **What problems is eM Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** syncing with multiple email accounts along with calendar and contacts. ### 9. Compared to Outlook I really like the UI customizability. The newer editions of Outlook tend to waste a lot of UI space so I like eM Client's ability to easily adjust just about anything in the user interface. The "smart" folder capability which aggregates email from across all connected accounts is nice. **What do you dislike about eM Client?** With just about any thick client, it's not quite as responsive as using a native web app. If I'm checking a single gmail address, using the native gmail web app is faster. The user interface is attractive. It's nice to have access to calendars and appointments without having to switch apps. **What do you dislike about eM Client?** Em Client's approach to upgrading licenses may make sense to someone. But I've yet to meet that person. After paying $29.99 to upgrade from v7 to v8 and receiving an email confirming my purchase, their glitchy licensing system failed to update. Instead, I get a message when opening the application that my license only covers up to v7. Would you like to email with a human at Em Client to sort this out? Tough luck! - you have to pay additional for support. So now I'm out $30 AND am locked out of my email client. It is not readily apparent where to go to setup rules, and when you get into rules, it appears complicated as compared to Outlook. I was looking for an alternative email software supporting POP3 and have support too after Outlook decided not to work and there was no support. As a business owner, it is crucial to have a reliable email service with all the bells and whistles. I checked a few options, and money was not a question or obstacle. Online email management is not an option. After looking at and testing software, I ended up buying eM Client. The transition was flawless, and all my email accounts set up themselves automatically with minimal data input from my end. Well, this never happened before with Outlook because their miserable, hard to figure out set up protocols, and the non-stop requiring a Microsoft account. Using eM Client was very simple to adopt because of the close resemblance to Outlook. Technically didn't have to learn anything new. The customization of the software and apperance is way beyond my expections and bottom line, I don't need to be logged into any stupid account to have dark mode. I'm using eM Client for more than a year, and it is very stable and reliable. I can only recommend it, especially for business owners who need proper, secure software without the hassle. The other good option is that you can pay for lifetime updates which include tech support too. You can't beat that. **What do you dislike about eM Client?** The only "dislike" from my end is the lack of compatibility of Microsoft Office Word and Excell, but eM Client (thank god) has no affiliation with Microsoft. To be precise, some customers of mine like to send tables created in Word or Excell, and I have to copy-paste in Word to edit and copy-paste back to reply or new email. It is not a big deal because I have to keep those tables anyway, but it would be easier to do that on a fly. Probably there is a way to do it but I just don't have the patients to figure it out. **Recommendations to others considering eM Client:** If you are looking for an easy transition from MS Office Outlook the this is it. Reliable, secure, and affordable. **What problems is eM Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** #1 problem was the ongoing reliability, #2 no account to log in required for functionalities to be present, #3 tech support is available when needed for something, but the software is rock solid, #4 no need for help to set up accounts; hence don't have to share sensitive data over the phone. ### 17. They have indicated there are no plans to reintroduce it, even though there remain a large number of email hosting services that continue to use it as their primary full-service interface (mail, calendar, and contact sync). **What problems is eM Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is an excellent alternative to Outlook in most cases, and the interface with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts works very well, whereas Outlook for Windows does not support the Google suite very well. ### 19. Setup was pretty straight forward and integration with host mail services (use godaddy, gmail and mail) was not a problem. Sometimes trying to find certain functions like archiving are not so straight forward and had to refer to documentation which is a little weak. It works perfectly with Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo, being able to synchronize email, contacts, tasks and calendars efficiently. **What do you dislike about eM Client?** Currently, eM Client does not have an Android version. It would be ideal to have this tool as a mobile application, to be able to access all my emails from my smartphone. Another thing is the arrangement of emails, which shows the conversation from the oldest to the most recent email, and there is no way to configure it. **Recommendations to others considering eM Client:** I believe that eM Client is one of the best email clients I have worked with, so I would recommend it to any company, regardless of size and industry. However, I feel that it has certain limitations, so it may be more appropriate for personal use or in startups. **What problems is eM Client solving and how is that benefiting you?** eM Client has proven to be an efficient tool for collecting and organizing emails. I am in charge of managing the email of the department, which works on a dozen projects at a time, and this tool has been a great help in keeping a correct record of all projects. It works so well, that it has completely replaced Mailbird, our previous mail manager. In my opinion, eM Client is the best email client in the market. ### 28. This way, I am able to consult past conversations directly, so I don't have to change from "Inbox" to "Sent Messages", this is a great advantage it has over any other mail manager.
