The biggest thing I like about ElevenLabs is how natural the generated voices sound. I’ve mainly used it for college projects, presentations, demos, and video voiceovers, and it has saved me from having to record my voice repeatedly. The UI is also one of the things I like. It’s clean and fairly easy to understand, so I didn’t need much time to figure out how to generate and edit audio. The generation is usually quick as well, which is helpful when I’m working close to a deadline. I also like the different voice options and the AI’s ability to produce speech with a more natural tone rather than sounding completely robotic. I’ve used the generated audio along with my other video/project tools, which makes it easy to include in my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about ElevenLabs? The main downside for me is the pricing and usage limits. As a student, I don’t use it every day, so paying for a higher plan can be difficult to justify unless I have several projects that need voice generation. I’ve also noticed that some names, technical words, or uncommon pronunciations don’t always come out exactly how I expect, so I usually listen to the generated audio before using it. Sometimes I need to regenerate a sentence or make small changes. I haven’t needed much support because the interface is fairly easy to learn, but having more flexibility for students or more room to experiment on the lower plans would make the product more useful for me. Before using ElevenLabs, I would normally record my own voice for project videos and presentations. If there was background noise, I made a mistake, or I didn’t like how something sounded, I had to record the same part again. ElevenLabs makes that process much easier. I can write the script, generate the voiceover, listen to it, and make changes without having to record everything myself. For my student projects, this has reduced the time I spend on voice recording and editing and lets me focus more on the actual project. I also find the AI quality useful because the voices sound much more natural than the basic text-to-speech tools I’ve tried. The output is generated quickly enough for my workflow, and I can easily add the audio to video or presentation projects using the tools I already use. Overall, I see the biggest value as saving time and making my projects sound more polished without needing a microphone, recording setup, or a lot of audio-editing experience. I trust on ElevenLabs mainly because the speech synthesis sounds remarkably human rather than robotic. As a Civil Engineering student at Mumbai University, I constantly deal with heavy textbooks, site manuals, and lengthy academic research papers. Reading through dense technical texts on a screen for hours causes a lot of eye strain, so converting these study materials into clear audio files has been a huge help. Elevenlab most is how well the platform manages natural pauses, voice inflection, and pacing—even when dealing with complex terminology. Being able to listen to my chapters while commuting or taking a break makes revising key concepts much more efficient, and the high audio fidelity keeps me engaged throughout long study sessions. The main downside is the character limit on the free tier, which gets used up pretty fast when you upload longer study chapters. Also, with niche civil engineering terms or specific abbreviations, the voice engine sometimes gets the pronunciation slightly wrong, so I have to spell them out phonetically in the text box to make it sound right. ElevenLabs has been one of the best AI tools I've used for voice generation. The UI is clean and easy to navigate, and it integrates well with APIs and automation tools. Voice generation is fast, natural, and very realistic. The free plan is good for learning, while the paid plans offer more flexibility. Setup was simple, and I was creating voiceovers within minutes. I found the free plan a bit limiting because of the usage caps. Some of the more advanced voice features are only available on paid plans, and creating longer voiceovers can burn through credits pretty quickly. ElevenLabs also has some major drawbacks: character credits can be consumed rapidly (especially when a generation fails), scaling up for heavier projects gets expensive, and there are occasional mispronunciations or unnatural shifts in tone. I love ElevenLabs, I use it very often, especially the text-to-speech conversion part. The voices are very realistic, not robotic at all, they have hundreds of languages, accents, ages, and tones, which helps a lot to make everything feel much more realistic. It also helps me save time using the voice cloning option, the result is very real and optimal. I really like that there are controls to adjust each voice generation, you can personalize and test. The price is very competitive in terms of price and quality, it's excellent. The performance of the page is very good, it never freezes, it's quite easy to use, intuitive, and lightweight. I have been following ElevenLabs for about 2 years now, and I am amazed every time as how realistic the solutions are of this tool, the Audio generation and video generations are super realistic and the tool itself is built very cleanly, the UI/UX are built in such a clean way thats its very easy to use. Elevenlabs is very easy to use, I love how quickly I can navigate from one feature to the next which makes the overall experience very user friendly. In terms of pricing I think its very fair for what you get. The platform offers a wide range of functions and features, and the value you receive for what you pay is excellent. In regards to performance, it does very well, the tools function quickly and as intended. I have not yet had the opportunity or need to speak to support but based on my experience so far I would imagine support is great as well.
