Shockingly poor account and billing experience. I subscribed to the pro plan and decided to downgrade, only to find there’s no self-serve option. Instead, you’re forced to email or chat with support—something I stopped doing over a decade ago. Meanwhile, the platform is covered in big, glaring “upgrade to annual billing” buttons. Upgrading is effortless, but downgrading? A complete nightmare. It’s obvious this is intentional, a blatant use of dark UX patterns to trap customers, and it’s absolutely unacceptable. When I contacted support to express my frustration, the response was robotic at best. The rep didn’t offer any explanation or apology, just downgraded my plan like a bot—and honestly, a bot would have been faster. When I called them out, the excuse was “system limitations.” Yeah, right. Convenient excuse for a shady business practice. I have seen it improving constantly, every month there´s a new feature that enhances your streaming. From the ability to personalize your overlays to the latest multi-streaming feature. February implemented the long-awaited multi-streaming feature, allowing us to stream to multiple platforms like Facebook, Youtube and Twitch, among others. The online support community is one of the best, also. You definitely get your money's worth **What do you dislike about Ecamm Live?** This program is only for Mac, and the annual/monthly subscription might be quite expensive. Pricing has increased a little bit in the last few years. Do not use the application when on wi-fi as the video could become choppy or audio will become out of sync. **Recommendations to others considering Ecamm Live:** If sharing desktop information, including audio and video, is essential to you, Ecamm Live is a necessary purchase. It is simple to set up, it gives you ample time to freely become familiar with its professional (paid for) release. It intuitively syncs cameras, audio, and has easy to set-up processes for overlays and scenes. It is relatively light on CPU loading, is very simple to sync livestreams with Youtube, Facebook, Periscope (Twitter), Twitch ect, and interfaces with simulcast providers like Restream. It also has easy to use interactive tools so that you can bring into the livestream comments, that you select, but are made by your live social media audiences. It also streams and records video up to 4k. Honestly, it is the best platform out there, and its founders Glenn and Ken are totally engaged with the Ecamm Live community, and are extremely quick (but thorough) to correct any bugs and develop new tools. **What do you dislike about Ecamm Live?** I can't think of anything I don't like about this platform. **Recommendations to others considering Ecamm Live:** I thoroughly recommend Ecamm Live for Mac. **What problems is Ecamm Live solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have not had any problems with Ecamm Live. There was an issue where Skype and Zoom stopped permitted Ecamm Live's virtual cam to feel video to their systems. But this has been subsequently corrected, fixed, in Skype and Zoom's latest releases. The benefits are numerous, as detailed above, but one thing that stands out is Ecamm Live permits us to present a professional live-streaming product that fits our brand: Independent, Interactive, and live. ### 12.
