## About eClinicalWorks
eClinicalWorks® (eCW), a leading healthcare IT company, provides innovative software solutions to healthcare providers of all types, including health centers, ASCs, urgent care, and more. eCW has been a trusted partner in the healthcare industry since 1999, with over 180,000 physicians and more than one million medical professionals using their solutions. eCW EMR is a comprehensive, secure, scalable, intelligent cloud solution that allows providers to access their data from anywhere at any time. It features cutting-edge technology that help you develop processes and strategies to improve office efficiencies. These “AI assistants” include PRISMA, a health information search engine that brings together patient records from a variety of healthcare systems; Scribe, an automated documentation tool that saves time and enhances accuracy; and Eva, a virtual assistant that gives providers access to patient histories, health records, and scheduling at the point of care. These features streamline workflows and automate administrative tasks so providers can focus more on patient care. eCW RCM and billing services allow healthcare providers to streamline billing processes and improve their bottom line. Whether providers manage their billing in-house or outsource it to eCW, they can be assured of high-quality services and achieve up to a 98% or higher first-pass acceptance rate. The in-office billing solutions provide increased control over the billing process, improved accuracy and efficiency, and reduced costs associated with outsourcing. Providers can also automate their billing solutions using bots, which can help reduce administrative burdens and improve accuracy. For providers who prefer to outsource their billing, eCW services provide experienced billing professionals who use the latest technology and best practices to ensure timely and accurate billing while providing comprehensive reporting and analytics to help providers manage their revenue cycle. eCW offers patient engagement tools that benefit front office staff and healthcare providers. For front office staff, online check-in and online appointment booking tools can significantly reduce administrative burdens and improve patient satisfaction. For healthcare providers, tools such as Patient Portal, Messenger, healow Pay, and telehealth can improve care coordination, enhance the patient experience, and provide virtual care options. With the rise of Value-Based Care, the healthcare industry has shifted its focus from quantity to quality of care. Providers are now incentivized to deliver high-quality care that produces positive patient outcomes rather than focusing on more services. This shift has also created new challenges, particularly in care coordination, coding, and population health management. eCW bridges these gaps by offering tools including HEDIS, Chronic Care Management, Transition Care Management, Care Plan Oversight, and Remote Patient Monitoring, enabling providers to better manage patient populations, and improve care coordination. These tools help providers deliver high-quality care that meets the needs of both patients, providers, and payers, positioning them for success in the Value-Based Care landscape. eCW offers a comprehensive suite of healthcare IT solutions that help providers deliver high-quality care while improving practice efficiency and revenue cycle management.

## eClinicalWorks Reviews
  ### 1. Versatile EHR for Clinical Operations, Care Coordination, and Population Health

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reneisha H. | Clinical Program Manager, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

One of the biggest strengths of eClinicalWorks is its flexibility and ability to be customized to fit different clinical workflows. It supports high-volume practices by offering a wide range of features for documentation, scheduling, and care coordination. The system also allows for detailed reporting and data tracking, which is helpful for managing quality metrics and population health initiatives. Once optimized, it can support both clinical and operational efficiency across the practice.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

One downside of eClinicalWorks is that some workflows can feel unintuitive and require additional training or customization to use efficiently. Reporting and data extraction can also be limited without advanced configuration, which can make it difficult to quickly access certain population health/quality data. Additionally, occasional system lag or glitches can interrupt workflow and require users to restart or re-enter information.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eClinicalWorks helps centralize patient information, streamline documentation, and support care coordination across the practice. It allows us to manage scheduling, clinical documentation, and patient communication within one system, which improves overall workflow efficiency. The platform also supports tracking of quality metrics and patient data, which is important for population health management and identifying care gaps. This helps improve patient outcomes while also supporting operational and reporting needs in a high-volume clinical setting.

  ### 2. Affordable but MAJOR Interface Error: Ordering meds requires MULTIPLE CLICKS.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Senior Lecturer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

Physician with extensive experience on EMR committee for large system. When I started up my new single physician practice, the cost was reasonable. It's a reasonable EMR, I can provide care. I DO like the note templates, they save me TONS of time, similar to another EMR I used. I've used the largest EMR and not 1 physician thinks any EMR is perfect, so the review that states "There is nothing to be disliked about eCW" is suspect and I can't believe it was written by a physician. I found the orientation training to be good because I've used EMRs for years and so asked VERY specific questions and took lots of notes. The "quick order" box works well for meds or tests that you have designated as a "favorite", otherwise you have to do multiple clicks to order a new medication. Also chose it because one competitor's test version didn't allow me to build simple template, and Athena wouldn't even let me beta test it because I wasn't credentialed with 5 payors.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

MAJOR Reason for low rating: MAJOR Interface/UI Error: NO SINGLE BUTTON TO ORDER MEDS during a visit!! I'm an internist. I order meds for 95% of visits. Requires a MINIMUM of 2 clicks, sometimes the 2nd is on 2 TINY little letters ("Rx") like playing a bad video game. This is a major time suck. I've discussed this for 2 years now and as of 2026 it's on the "enhancement" list, which so far means: nothing has changed. I built order sets but have to click OUT of the note to get to that menu, it's then slow/laggy when loading those screens, requires multiple clicks to confirm which meds I want and THEN have to associate each with a diagnosis. Action button color/location inconsistency (most at bottom, some at top (?) and most blue but...not all?) creates confusion, wasted clicks and slows me down. When chatting with a patient in the portal/inbox, the text from earlier in a single discussion/thread is not carried over so you have to click out of the chat to find the older text. If I send a message to a patient it doesn't always show up in the "encounter" screen, which requires clicking on the "hub" then checking a log. Checking when a med was last ordered is improving and will show up on the MEDICATIONS screen more often, but not 100%, which then requires multiple clicks to the HUB to view "eprescription log". Again, VERY clunky vs being able to refill meds with a single click. Customer support staff, more than once during onboarding/training or when addressing some follow up issues committed the following errors a) literally didn't bother to read the very specific question in my email or b) didn't bother to listen to the very specific question that I asked. I've been on EMR committees for large organizations, I understand the complexity of questions we ask as physicians and the complexity of the systems. There are medications that come up when searching that once clicked, don't allow us to order them, so the database should be cleaned up without me asking tech support.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an EMR. Obvious answer is patient care.

  ### 3. Improved Workplace Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connie J. | Procurement Specialist, Government Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

Upon initial use of eClinical Works, I was a bit overwhelmed. I thought it was so much to learn and almost thought it was no way I'd get the hang of it. But that changed with less time than I expected. I love that everything is in one place, such as billing, coding, labs, x-rays, doctor and nurses' notes, patient medications, the capability to schedule appointments, and so much more. I also find it very easy to interact with staff when needed. The reports feature is heaven sent. I moved up to billing and coding and thought I'd have to utilize another system. Luckily, I was able to do that with eClinical Works, and I loved that I didn't have to learn another system.
Moreover, when labs are done, we are able to seamlessly connect with LabCorp, so we don't have to worry about inputting a lot of manual information. Since COVID, TeleHealth has become very popular. eClinical Works allows the providers to utilize this feature to interact with patients. Patients love that they don't have to travel and can be seen from the comfort of their homes.
eClinical Works has been a game changer when it comes to patients. We can pull charts faster and it omits the use of paper and pens. Aside from the speed, I just love the overall efficiency of eClinical Works.
Lastly, when we have questions, support is amazing!

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The downsides of eClinical works are occasional lag when they're multiple users logged in, reporting can be tedious and complex if not properly trained, and slow customer support.
I've experience slow performance when I've pulled report and when during training with multiple users.
When I first started using the reporting feature, it was kind of complicated to learn and customize.
Even though customer support is good, it can be slow with long wait times. I had an issue that required more than once escalation which caused me to turn to another program.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eClinical Works benefits not only the staff, but the patients as well. All of the patient information is readily available which I love. I don't have to go somewhere else to view labs or imaging or to send a referral. Since I've moved to billing and coding, eClinical Works has helped me bill faster and more efficiently with the built-in checks.

  ### 4. Easy to Use and Understand, with Helpful Color Segregation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aatir N. | Virtual Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

The best thing about eClinicalWorks is that it is easy to use and understand, which makes a small-cap business to be its first option with all features. I also like its color segregation scheme to differentiate work, which makes my job and focus easy.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I really feel eClinicalWorks is way lagging and gets stuck on an option while trying to multitask. eClinicalWorks is not matching human pace and its processing time. Also, the updates are sometimes ruining its efficiency due to the changes.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eClinicalWorks is useful in maintaining my patients' health records, encrypted and secure. I can save large amounts of data on patients with privacy and benefit myself by saving my time whenever medical records need to be transferred.

  ### 5. Comprehensive but Needs Better Performance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chardae A. | Identity Access Management Admin, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like that eClinicalWorks is an all-in-one platform, providing clinical documentation, billing, and scheduling. It's particularly helpful for me because it allows admins to easily update security and access for users, enabling them to perform their day-to-day jobs efficiently.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I'm not happy with the performance when trying to do basic copy and paste. There's a delay when pasting from Excel, and during high volume times, it can really lag.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use eClinicalWorks to build provider and staff profiles. It solves access to patient info and charting, and is an all-in-one platform for clinical documentation, billing, and scheduling. It allows easy updates to security and user access.

  ### 13. Eclinicalworks EHR Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David C. | EHR Administrator / Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

Comprehensive functionality: eClinicalWorks has a nice range of features, including electronic prescribing, patient scheduling, billing, and clinical documentation.

The software has customizable templates that allow providers to improve notation and RX documentation time.

eClinicalWorks is cloud-based, which means that healthcare providers can access patient data from anywhere, at any time, using any device with internet access.

eClinicalWorks includes a patient portal that allows patients to view their medical records, schedule appointments, and communicate with providers.

The software is Meaningful Use certified, meaning it meets certain government standards for the use of electronic health record

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

eClinicalWorks is expensive, and there is an additional cost as healthcare providers add more features and functionality.

We found the eClinicalWorks user interface to be outdated and difficult to navigate.

We continually find communication issues with customer support to be difficult and can include very long wait times with getting issues resolved.

Migrating data from other EHR systems to eClinicalWorks can be a complicated and time-consuming process. We found some integrations to take many months to complete.

eClinicalWorks requires training to use effectively, and some users report that the training can be insufficient.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EclinicalWorks is our only EHR system that is absolutely necessary to manage patient records and treatment. We use our eClinicalworks to provide care reports to federal and state entities required by law.

  ### 14. eclinicalworks is an awesome tool

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

eclinicalworks is a very efficient tool since it has multiple functions that help with customer database

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

at the moment there is no function on the software that I cannot dislike honestly

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it helps with the information of each patient, from personal information to insurance information all in the same software. no need to go back and forth with another program.

  ### 15. Pretty much the worst

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James M. | Physician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2022

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

nothing really, sucks in every way
we made the unfortunate mistake of switching EMR due to cost reasons
believe me, whatever money was saved was subsequently lost many times over in decreased productivity
the fake positive reviews here are amusing

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

too many to list but
- outdated UI and styling
- no boundaries on buttons so easy to click the wrong stuff
- slow, unresponsive, freezes/hangs up all the time
- so slow I cannot chart during the day seeing pts. I chart in the evening but get frequent server downs. eclinical spends no money on their servers
- clicks take 10-20 seconds
- eclinical has been sued and fined by the federal government for being unreliable after a patient died; so now they're so scared and desperate they will include messages such as:
     - (when using templates): "check copied information for completeness"--if eclinical did its job correctly there would be no need for the user to check
     - (when prescribing): "check med interactions when severity is major"--is eclinical saying I don't need to check mild or moderate interactions?
- nothing migrated when switching from athena. migrated charts show: nothing. labs didn't migrate. imaging didn't migrate. vaccines did not migrate. total waste of time and money. and eclinical lied all about this.
- nonsensical acronyms. DI=diagnostic imaging. well of course all imaging is diagnostic. TInj=therapeutic injection. what's CDSS? DRTLA? still don't know, or care
- no simple way to quickly identify pt's problems and medications. they're all over the place in different sections and takes multiple clicks.
- so i have to waste 1-2 minutes when a patient comes in b/c I can't tell what their problems are or what they're taking or why they are here unless I look at multiple sections of their chart
- redundant menus. same info and patient demographics displayed over and over in different areas of the screen
- too many clicks. this begins at login screen. type your username, click to continue, generates a new window, type your password.
- clicks generate more windows, up to 5 for one patient (that i have tried). windows cannot be moved or resized
- tasks must be completed within 20 seconds of opening a window, otherwise when saving EMR will claim another user is messing around so the data wasn't saved. which is bs. it'll fail to save and then just lie about another user in the chart. unbelievably dishonest
- this means that if you're prescribing something, you have to X out several times, read labs, then try ordering again
- can't compare/trend lab values unless you X out and click on a different date
- EMR loses pt's info, their meds mysteriously disappear from list. dangerous
- when reordering, EMR drops doses, instructions, etc.
- does not save data correctly so HPI gets lost all the time. happens very frequently
- EMR loses pharmacy requests and outside messages
- no smart search. that's right, in this day and age
- when prescribing, type what you want. then X out. then click medication to specify dosing. the heck?!?
- cannot prescribe two of the same meds (even if different doses) in one encounter
- with each update, EMR loses NDC codes so you can't prescribe meds. thanks!
- default med configuration is incorrect. metformin is set to daily dosing instead of bid
- no prepopulated quantity for topical meds. athena had this
- must type in dx first then meds/labs. no exceptions
- when switching b/w meds/labs/imaging, dx defaults to whatever is #1. if you need to fix the dx, order needs to be deleted then reordered under correct dx. no drag and drop.
- med interaction takes too long and checks everything against everything that was ever prescribed. even if nothing was prescribed in current encounter
- if you want do telehealth, search pt. click name. click "hub". click "new encounter." click "virtual visit." click "open progress note." then you can type.
- support is horrible. enjoy an indian tech with incomprehensible accent
- if you're an MD let me tell you: RUN!!!!!!!

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

problem: needed a functional EMR
benefits: none

  ### 16. A good option for electronic charting!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zarina B. | Facilitator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2022

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

What I like best about eClinicalWorks is that it is easy to note down patient history, chief complaints, and family history, as well as physician notes electronically.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

What I most dislike about eClinicalWorks is that it can be difficult to add in other providers that the patient is seeing, and it can be difficult to pull up tests that were completed at other clinics or labs.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eClinicalWorks allowed us to properly document what each patient was at the clinic for, what they wanted to discuss with the physician, keep track of scheduling patients, and so much more. This helped our clinic stay organized and be able to schedule and keep the physician updated on each patient.

  ### 17. Biggest Rip off Ever!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hellen P. | Chief Executive Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

It isn't very impressive at best. It is clunky and difficult to navigate. Outdated for the times.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

NO Customer service. You can't get a live person to help you. EVERYTHING has to go through the online portal, including help requests, but if there is a dispute, they suddenly do not want to acknowledge those tickets. Canceling providers is a nightmare. I've paid for providers for well over a year because they would not remove them, and getting your money back won't happen without a lawsuit (which we will be filing). They threaten to shut your access off if you don't continue to pay for providers/services you aren't using but fail to remove them timely. Unless you are prepared to have a dedicated person to monitor this account and all change orders, save your money and the headaches. Go to a proven system like Athena Healthcare, Cerner, GE Centricity, or NextGen. This software needs upgrading since it is not intuitive. It is clunky and cumbersome, but the lack of support gives it a "1" rating for me.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

If you are accustomed to working with an EHR and are independent, you might like eCW. If you are a new user or need special attention, you will probably be disappointed. The implementation team is great. But once you are left alone with your product, you must rely almost exclusively on the chat or online features for troubleshooting. I guess my biggest complaint is the lack of service after the sale. We had high hopes for this product but are currently shopping for a replacement. The lack of responsiveness to problems is concerning. We cannot grow our business with this lack of support from eCW.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not solving problems with eCW that aren't addressed with any EHR system. The obvious benefits are electronic versus paper charts. This software is best suited for small practices such as family practice or internal medicine. Not designed for multiple locations or specialty practices.

  ### 18. Best EMR for US healthcare professionals

  ### 19. eCW

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah S. | Lead medical biller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

You can integrate many systems within eCW and work from one screen instead of multiple screens. It makes it so much easier to process payments and view claims.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I use eCW and have found that sometimes some of the information is not easy to find on the reporting end of the system.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Eclinical Works is a user-friendly system. This EHR is easy to use and finds information needed for patient information. They have a superb reporting system to pull all information you need.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The support team for eCW is terrific and quick with the turnaround on tickets you submit. The reporting system needed some updating and they have fixed this quickly.

  ### 20. Simple platform, but lots of clicks

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

eCw does not erase after you have written in the event of a system timeout, which I experienced in Cerner as a dietetic intern.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The server goes down seems like several times on certain weeks. When there have been ecw problems our EHR team let me know I could speak to an ecw rep but they never pulled through which was not great. That was in 2020. Also, there are too many unnecessary clicks I wish they could shave off on encounters and some buttons are so tiny you have to be precise where you click which is hard when you have 26 patients to see in one day. And they're app is rudimentary.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Have good vision and no carpal tunnel syndrome Because a lot of the buttons are small and there are a lot of clicks.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can shut down, at times not load take a long time loading data.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing clients schedule- sending encounters between the pharmacy and the clinic - and patient

  ### 22. An all-in-one EHR platform that is amazing for clinics, but has some setbacks.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zane A. | Private Tutor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

eCW is a great EHR, especially for clinics. Hence the name "clinic," its downloadable software allows ease of access when documenting patient charts, adding labs or medications, and other things pertaining to electronic health records.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

This EHR does have some difficulties navigating through the different settings within a patient chart, as well as throughout the EHR itself. Some unfavorable user interfaces can be confusing, and they can be very buggy at times. One of the latest updates that I had while using eCW was probably my least favorite part about this software --- if you were inside the patient chart and making changes, nobody else was allowed to make changes simultaneously. This is something significant that I think should be reconsidered. At least enable real-time edits that everyone who has access to the patient chart can view it. Otherwise, it almost feels like it defeats the purpose of an electronic health record, where it should be saving time. Instead, it can take just as long as a written chart.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of access within each patient chart. It is also easy to add medications through patient charts, add labs, and set up appointments. One of the best things I noticed was the macro feature within the problem list. This makes it very easy to reuse verbiage for specific problem lists and add on them to each patient.

  ### 23. eClinicalWorks is an effective software for improving the productivity of a healthcare practice.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

What I like best about eClinicalworks are all the available features that allow me to complete every task within a healthcare office. It allows me to create claims, create payments, schedule patients, refund patients, manage patient accounts, generate administrative reports, and manage patient documents. In addition, you can collaborate with other staff and medical professionals through the "jellybean" features that include faxes, telephone encounters, and messaging.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The only dislike I have with eClinicalworks is that the software has instances where functions will freeze, causing me to wait for an extended period before being forced out of the application. This malfunction is inconvenient for those users working in a fast-paced environment and need the software to function correctly at all times. Also, I dislike the limited reports available, eClinicalworks should upgrade the variety of report tools available.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving a variety of problems with eClinicalWorks. I manage hundreds of patient accounts, collect payments, refund overpayments, manage the documentation in patient charts, and manage claims processing.

  ### 24. Very easy EHR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawna D. | Administrative Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

After using other electronic health record programs I find EClinical a dream. The ease of documenting different information is amazing. From being able to document medical information to even just general visitation notes. It's easy to navigate and super easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

Really the only thing I dislike is how fast it does auto log out and also the having to change the password so freaquently.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although I really haven't had any problems I would say that the benefits of the program are the ease of having all information in one place.

  ### 25. Very helpful and intuitive EHR software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

eCW is super intuitive and I love the customizations and how you can access from a protected browser. For a hybrid work schedule, this has been immensely useful.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I dislike that some of the customizations I would like are not available. Additionally the button icons are not always intuitive until after you are oriented to the interface.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps immensely for interdisciplinary patient care and to be able to quickly and efficiently document health records and interactions. For at home work, this was also very important after telehealth appointments.

  ### 26. Basic EHR

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

Ease of use for clinical users. Ease of navigation

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

There are multiple sections that information does not transfer between, and would often result in users having to enter same information manually multiple times

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eClinicalWorks is good for use in small ambulatory settings. The straightforward navigation in the system creates a smooth workflow for end users, especially for those previously documenting on paper.

  ### 30. The most brilliant platform to increase your clinic's productivity.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

eClinicalWorks is an IT solution that allows you to increase productivity and reduce user work for the management of your clinic, hospital or medical institute. Since this service allows from managing appointments, payments, billing, compliance tracking, certificates, prescriptions, among others quickly. eClinicalWorks is a completely cloud-based software, its reporting capabilities are quite high to provide comprehensive information, the support team staff is very good, since they provide fast and satisfactory care, in general I can say that eClinicalWorks is a tool that offers more advantages than disadvantages.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The price of this service is a great limitation for users with a limited budget, I would like to see some flexibility in terms of price, so that eClinicalWorks is a software accessible to many, this can really help the service grow as many would prefer it for its great performance. Another aspect to consider is that the software can become confusing for beginners, since it is a wide and extensive interface, I see the need for the software to provide documentation to help users understand more easily the use of this platform.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

eClinicalWorks is a system that I could confidently recommend for any clinic, hospital or medical center, as it is a software born to provide productivity in an innovative way, the service is very broad, provides tailored solutions so that you can maintain a complete management, the cost of this service is considerably expensive but due to the quality of service it provides I can reward it is worth it.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us eClinicalWorks is a very useful and necessary tool , since it allows us to increase the productivity of our team, while saving time and labor, since this service allows us to manage our finances, appointments, clinical history of each patient, payments and billing. Allowing us to maintain complete accuracy in all our work, maintain order and work with complete innovation, being sincere we trust a lot in eClinicalWorks for its great performance.

  ### 31. Less efficent and less useful.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce M. | Chief Medical Officer

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

The administrators say they like it for business.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

Slower to navigate than Epic. The design forces you to move between different areas where different types of info are stored and this slows things down. Hard to copy info from an old note to the current note. Hard to find info from outside providers like EDs. Overall design is clunky and I would say it is about 10% less efficient than Epic and Cerner which makes a big difference in a busy practice.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is cheaper than other EHRs.

  ### 32. Easy to use EMR

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The reports feature needs to be updated to be more user friendly

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Always make sure to follow up with tech support as they are based out of country and have many language difficulties

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reports feature is one issue that we are working with and we have seen financial benefits as well as benefit to patient satisfaction

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

Very user friendly, customer support, account manager very helpful

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I didn't think the training provided was sufficient, which led us to have to pay for more training.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to complete notes in a timely manner due to having the ability to create custom templates that work for our practice.

  ### 36. Fit Price for the application

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like the training they did while implementation and post implementation of the product.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The UX of the application can be a bit more intuitive. but i will also agree with the fact the EVA, also does help in looking up the things that we need

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Appointment Scheduling, RCM

  ### 37. eClinical Works Review

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like that eclinical works autopopulates a lot of demographic and frequently utilized data.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I dislike that the EMR can be difficult to navigate.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the issue of patient documentation with eCW. I have realized that electronic records makes sharing records much easier between providers.

  ### 38. Health care commitments are verified with eclinicalworks.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2020

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

The eclinicalworks program features physician scheduling certification tools, automatic insurance backup request, remote order patient information management continuity, recurring software upgrade innovations, documentation template separation, prescription transfer service relationship, Digital patient health status management, physician account management with simple two-step access, hospital budget accounting, real-time computerized invoice organization, handwriting recognition consultation of medication dosages, file upload functionality all condition this incredible and practical software.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

When sending messages to the user, the eclinicalworks program presents failures in the direction of synchronization of user profile links, because when generating such an action of sending, usually not all the necessary messages from the user's display to notify, change of medication, reminder of hospitalization payments or cancellation of bills for transfer of medicines, condition of care assessment of health progress, import of documentation to doctors on call, including problems of access to patient history are evident within this programming when using their main tools of collaborative work.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

The important electronic medical records automated system of eclinicalworks is recommended for being a direct line manager of data facilities systematization, conditioned medical care references, qualified ambulatory exercises relationship, medical inventory supply network connections, professional technical care for the patient, patient's resume conformation, electronic prescription checking, patient's conditioned history management, health control analysis, health backup compliance management, medical billing contract signature segmentation, create an impressive query distribution for the panel of this professional medical administration programming.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During the time of use of the eclinicalworks platform, it has been possible to activate the tools for professional hospitalization budgets, to ensure times of establishment of treatments for different health pathologist, computerized follow-ups of progress for reactions to the user's medication dosage, linking of automatic response procedures for routine questions, creation of reports of evaluation of reactions and contraindications of medication, enabling of reference positions of report of damages of programmatic of interfaces, where wrong processing of statistical graphs is exercised to know the capacity of improvement of the health of the patient, recognizing ineffective results.

  ### 39. Best Patient and Doctor system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like that you can easily schedule patients and see their labs with ease. You can see there last encounters and update their insurance information without any complications. The fact that you can communicate with the doctor and coworkers about certain patients is one of the best things and everything is right there in the system.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The only thing I would say is I would prefer if there was an easier way of looking for past telephone or patient encounters in the system. Because once they’re reviewed they do disappear and I just like keeping up to date with them and going over them.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made being a medical assistant so much easier. So much less paperwork and hassles. Communicating with the doctor is not a problem we can see the patients full chart and there is nothing left unturned.

  ### 40. ECW at a plastic surgery and medspa

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like that the interface is super easy to use. It doesn't take much training to get started. I also like that the features it has really work well for a medical office. I love that everything is color coded and easy to read. I also like that there is a web cloud version that you can access from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I dont like that it freezes often and that some features dont work the way they are supposed to. Specifically the kiosk check in, we tried to make it work for our practice but it would always freeze and would allow patients to sign consents electronically.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

I would recommend this program to others however it doesn't do as much as we would like it to for the medical spa. Keep in mind that the support is in another country so its hard to get ahold of them and hard to understand them at times.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to schedule patients fast and efficiently.

  ### 41. Complicated, bloated, steer clear

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I can't really think of any redeeming qualities for eCW. No redeeming qualities exist.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

Our clinic has gone through a couple of major upgrade versions of eCW so we've been using it for some time and what I can say is that eCW should be the poster-child EHR for any healthcare professional that gripes about EMR's. The system is poorly coded and as such is slow and bogs down any system it is run on. Without getting too technical suffice it to say that the platform would be better off being scrapped and built again from scratch. NOTHING anywhere in the entire platform is intuitive in any way shape or form. And forget about customization. Sure, they will say that anything is possible but actually implementing simple customized layouts, flow, or templates is a huge headache. I could go on and on but let's just leave it with this quote from a recently hired physician who was coming from a different EHR. "Using eCW is as if the previous EMR I was on was artificial intelligence and now I'm using a typewriter." Best one sentence summary of eCW that I've heard.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Move on, there are many other options out there and all of them are better.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems solved. No benefits realized. Yes it checks the box for meaningful use as far as having an EMR but that's it.

  ### 42. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. HORRIBLE.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen U. | Medical Provider , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Our more senior providers have decreased their patient load down to 8-10/day vs. they did 20+ for years with Athena. I have used 10+ eMRs in my career and this is one of the worst. I feel like we got a 1992 Yugo with donuts for tires when we were promised a nice new car. And there is no motivation or inclination for eCW to fix anything or respond to requests. It's been 3mo of a nightmare.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

They deliver a product that does not contain the basic details any medical provider or practice needs for documentation. Can't document what side a BP is done on or manual vs. Auto. Can't document allergies to meds except by a ridiculous list that includes lymphoma as an adverse reaction but not itching or cough. The labs and imaging don't link and deliver cohesively. We have to keep a paper log of who we order studies on because it can't be trusted to come back to the chart. Everything we asked to be fixed during the week of roll-out 3 months ago is still not addressed. I could go on for hours...

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Don't do it.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. We thought it was a cost savings but the money lost to decreased productivity is mind-boggling. It is a medicolegal nightmare because labs and imaging don't interface.

  ### 43. Very primitive capabilities

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like that there is a report dashboard that links from inside the software. I also like that they have LiveChat customer support. If I can't find what I am looking for on their site, I can chat with a support tech who has usually been able to resolve my issue.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I dislike that you can't enter payments from the appointment screen. Our front desk rep lives in the scheduling system but needs to leave that screen to enter payments. I also wish it was more customizable.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

I would recommend to those considering eClinicalWorks to make sure that the system can do what it is you are looking for and require in your Practice Management system. I am not very pleased with the reporting capabilities of the system. Their canned reports are very good for day to day, normal reviews, but if you want to dive down into the data further, it is a bit more difficult.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We aren't solving any problems with eClinical. We just work around them.

  ### 44. Click click click!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanah K. | Consultant , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

It does have the items you need to add patient’s demographics and their insurance information he can hold in immense amount of information. We have eight doctors and I’ll practice and it holds their schedules pretty well

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

There is way too many clicks to get to one thing. It is not user-friendly it takes time to learn the system and find ways around

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

It is a good option for electronic medical record’s

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were a paper chart office and we switch to electronica medical record’s and that is what we use the software for. So we actually have electronic medical record’s and it is easier to maintain more information and readily available

  ### 45. "eClinicalWorks Review"

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Candace B. | Professional Nurse, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

eClinicalWorks completes a sheer measure of things following for CCM charging was simple and incorporated with the framework. Tolerant commitment highlights were incredible, for example, naturally informing patients that remedies were sent to the drug store, calling for arrangement updates from the timetable and refreshing reactions legitimately to the arrangement. In the event that you have to advise the whole timetable of a supplier nonappearance, it's anything but difficult to naturally convey notices. Bunches of innovation alternatives for gathering information incorporating cheap registration booths and applications for telephones and tablets. Programming can be an introduced application or electronic. The product is truly adaptable much of the time and there are various approaches to get from/to anyplace in the framework rapidly. You can open numerous occasions of your login to enable you to record in one outline while seeing something different. Incorporated faxing made for one less thing to help/audit.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

eClinical Works doesn't have any imperfections. Such a large number of incredible things about this framework.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

This is a hearty and better than average diagramming framework, however it may set aside a bit effort to prepare and learn. Invest the energy preceding executing to watch online classes. They have an incredible site to use once you are a customer.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

eClinicalWorks fathoms our requirement for diagramming, CMS recording, and installment administrations. Simpler to fill solutions, convey restorative records, documenting claims is more straightforward. Backing has been great, they specialized groups truly care about fathoming the issues that emerge. You can truly tell the staff at eClinicalworks are focused on consumer loyalty.

  ### 46. Grass is maybe greener on the other side

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brit T. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

That i have 80% control on the system to make changes.
and when i need assistance i can create a ticket and get assistance with in the hour.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

The Demo was so good that it addressed and offered so much more that i was having to do on my one in our system, that we broke a contract to switch- Then we went live and it has been all smoke and mirrors since and now we are stuck in this contract.

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Ask for a total break down of integrating with questionnaires, forms, labs, pharmacies, etc.
they sell you on a package deal but then charge you for each service separately.
Who wants to pay for a lab to import results into the chart and flag doctor on results for $5000.00 start up.
I am old school and scanning and tasking the doctor.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing has been solved, yes they are quick to respond on things we need help with but everything is an additional charge.
No benefits on our end.

  ### 48. I had a okay experience with eclinical works.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2019

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

What I liked the best about eclinical works is that it was very easy to navigate through. The training I received for eclinical was straight to the point. What I loved about this software is that I could always refer back to the patients info if I needed any previous information that was not transferred in the new system.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

Some of the down sides about eclinical was the frequent crashes that would occur on the softest. Interferences in between patients and the whole application shutting down. Another downside about eclinical is that it takes a really long time to startup.

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved a lot of problems by using eclinical works. I would have to refer back to eclinical works to find a patients phone number or previous insurance. I would also print previous lab results from eclinical works.

  ### 49. eCW is a great software for medical practices.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about eClinicalWorks?**

I like the overall simplicity of eCW and how user friendly it is. It lays out the schedule in a simplistic manner which makes it easier for clinicians and staff to use.

**What do you dislike about eClinicalWorks?**

I dislike the glitches that occur from time to time. This includes being unable to delete emails and being prompted to click “ok” after changing patient’s status from “ready” to “check out.”

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

It will take time but gradually it will be easier to use eCW

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to catch mistakes easier and earlier (before patients come in for their appointments, etc).

**Recommendations to others considering eClinicalWorks:**

Get this software because it is very easily to use

**What problems is eClinicalWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?**
