"Drip turned our product events into something marketing could actually use"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Drip?

What makes it valuable for me is the way it turns user behavior into actions that marketing can actually use. Purchase events, browsing activity, and customer interactions can become automated workflows without needing to build everything from scratch. It becomes easy to understand what should happen when someone abandons a cart, makes their first purchase, comes back after being inactive for a few weeks, or enters a specific segment. From a developer perspective, that matters a lot because marketing doesn't have to depend on me every time they want to understand or adjust a workflow. If an automation depends on a purchase event, a tag, a segment, or a specific behavior, the logic is clear enough for everyone to follow. The API has also been flexible enough for more customized setups. In one project where we weren't working with a standard ecommerce platform, we were able to send our own events and customer attributes from the backend to power segments and automations without creating unnecessary complexity. What do you dislike about Drip?

I haven't run into any major issues with Drip, but I quickly realize that the platform works best when your data structure is organized. If events are named differently across systems, if a property changes between the frontend and backend, or if segments are created without checking the source data, workflows can start behaving in unexpected ways even when everything technically looks fine. "Streamlines Email Marketing Yet Lacks Key Integrations"
4/5
Describe the project or task Drip helped with:

Drip offers a flexible visual workflow builder for automated email sequences, allowing for custom nurture flows without heavy coding. However, it lacks native integrations with manufacturing systems, requiring manual data entry and cross-referencing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Drip?

I like Drip's flexible visual workflow builder for automated email sequences. It lets us build custom nurture flows during our seasonal retail launch window without heavy coding. The ability to trigger reminder emails when prospects download our product specification sheets saves our sales team hours of repetitive manual email work. This feature allows us to map out full lead-nurture paths without needing developer help, making it invaluable for our process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Email Automation with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Drip?

I appreciate Drip's flexible visual workflow builder, which allows me to rapidly build and tweak lead-nurture sequences for our SaaS clients without heavy coding knowledge. I can easily add conditional logic based on subscriber actions like guide downloads or link clicks. Last month, I quickly restructured an entire client campaign overnight when they pivoted their messaging, saving me from involving our dev team in routine marketing adjustments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

I find Drip’s custom reporting options limited for our agency-level work; it's cumbersome to compare campaign metrics across different client accounts. I often need to export raw CSV data and manually assemble spreadsheets for our stakeholder updates. There's also occasional lag when duplicating complex multi-branch workflows, and some granular subscriber tagging rules are unintuitive to set up without digging through community help articles. "Behavior-Based Automation That Sends the Right Message at the Right Time"
4/5
What do you like best about Drip?

The best feature of Drip is that it is a Behavior based automation tool which recognises the pattern of what customers actually do and accordingly triggers the right message to the customer. For instance, if the customer adds a product in the cart and abondons it Drip automatically sends a reminder email or may often offer discounts if no purchase is made even after the reminder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

One of the drawbacks of using Drip is that Pricing may become expensive as company's contact list grows because it charges based on the number of contacts. Moreover, some of its features often feel complex for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined GDPR Compliance, Needs Better Integration"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Drip?

Drip’s comprehensive activity tracking and unified campaign database stand out most for our finance team. It generates complete, tamper-proof logs for all email marketing activities, fully satisfying Germany’s GoBD documentation and audit mandates. Strong built-in data security features also keep customer personal information protected and our operations aligned with GDPR. The intuitive analytics make reviewing marketing expenditures much simpler, significantly cutting the workload for cost reconciliation during our monthly financial close cycles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

A major downside is the absence of native connections to our primary accounting platform, which means we have to input marketing expense data manually. The custom reporting options are quite restricted, so we cannot create custom templates that follow HGB financial reporting guidelines. Bulk data exports run slowly when we compile files for internal audits, and there are no pre-formatted outputs tailored to GoBD’s official archiving specifications. "Excellent Shopify Email Marketing Solution - with Great Onboarding and Human Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Drip?

Its integration with Shopify was a major reason for moving from another email solution - its worked well in building flows and segments. Their on boarding was excellent and the support team are great .. and humans ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

The reporting and ability to interigate numbers simply from dash boards - that needs work. I dont think they are intrioducing features as fast as other in the same space - but its pointless to have features just for the sake of it. Pricing is OK, but a little on the high side. "Unified Email & SMS Platform with Intuitive, Powerful Journey Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about Drip?

The best thing about this platform is thats its capability of combining the email marketing, SMS and customer data into a single unified platform. The best thing about this platform is its ability to build highly personalised customer journeys based on behaviour, like browsing activities and purchase history, or engagement patterns. Their visual workflow builders is very intuitive and powerful, making it very easy to create complex automation without feeling any hassle. This is very effective in terms of UI and intuitiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

Though this platform is highly customizable and powerful, it might feel a bit complex at the beginning and during the initial setup. Specifically for newer teams in marketing automations, their pricing can also be a bit on the higher scale, as the subscriber base grows. Though their integrations are strong, some of the niche tools may require additional setup and other third party connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Email Platform with Powerful Features"
4/5
What do you like best about Drip?

It is a comprehensive email service provider with lots of features. Some are a bit complicated to learn, but once you get a handle on them it is very powerful IMO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

Some of the workflows feel complicated, and it takes time to go through the documentation or talk with support to really learn how to use them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep E-commerce Integration with Drip"
5/5
What do you like best about Drip?

I use Drip for email marketing and automation, and I'm particularly pleased with its deep e-commerce integration. It helps transform raw store data into actionable insights, allowing me to shift from generic, one-size-fits-all emails to high-conversion messages. I also appreciate the significant water savings that Drip offers, and I found the initial setup to be simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

I find the cost and price structure of Drip to be a bit of an issue at times. Also, sometimes automations error, which can be a little frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best customer service out there"
5/5
What do you like best about Drip?

The chat customer service with Drip is the best I've ever encountered in my 3+ years of working with them and other services. You have a real person on the line with you and there has never been a problem they haven't been able to solve. Even if something had to be escalated up the chain, it was fixed within a reasonable timeframe. I can't brag enough about Drip customer service! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drip?

I wish there were more templates to choose from and it would be nice to be able to code some custom changes a little more like I can in other platforms. I also have to check and recheck that my links are correct, as sometimes they will default back to whatever was previously there if I have duplicated a campaign. We call this "getting Dripped" whenever it happens, so that goes to show you that it happens relatively often. It's a minor inconvenience overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
