Does not allow driver to add photographs or any documents into the app for pickup or delivery to send to customer like other apps allow. Does not generate invoices or any other documentation such as loading or delivery paperwork. I enjoy the times being added from Aljex to Macropoint seemlessly and I like the fact you can integrate your carriers to be able to track with their ELD's instead of by phone number. I use MacroPoint daily in my operations and it makes it easy to use. Customer service is always replying and handling the issues we have, they are very timely and efficient with their responses. I like how easy it is to integrate my carriers into MacroPoint and how easy it is to implement into my daily operations as it takes less than 5 minutes for a carrier to get integrated. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** What I dislike about Descartes MacroPoint is that the windows on Aljex do not transfer over to MacroPoint which causes some headaches and inaccurancy when tracking loads as we need to ensure windows are set up correctly to be able to get accurate information. It is not hard to enter a cell number to send to a driver. Macropoint starts tracking very quickly after driver accepts the tracking. I have never ran into any issues where I needed to contact customer support, which is a good thing. The frequency of use for this product is several times a day. This service was very easy to learn how to use and was also easy to implement. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** I wish you could set the tracking out for longer than 5 days, if need be. I no longer have to go to Google Maps and attempt to find the exact location via street view. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** Not the most user friendly for non tech savvy drivers. When a driver has an outdated version of Macropoint it will not track. When a driver already has the application downloaded they have to manually open the application, close the application, and then reopen it in order for load details to appear. If a driver doesn't do this it immdediately goes to "Tracking waiting for update" and we never receive location updates. It would be nice if it sent the driver a notification on their phone stating new load is available to accept and once the notification is clicked tracking would begin. **What problems is Descartes MacroPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Adoption of street view in Control Tower helps save time ### 36. We are now requesting all carriers to accept MacroPoint and have since see improved on time pick and delivery performance across the board. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** There are some instances where a driver passes through a geo fence and marks the driver on site and loaded/unloaded when they are not. I would suggest adding a time paramater that would only mark the driver loaded if they were within the geo fence for 15 or 30 minutes given it typically takes longer than that to load a truck. This would prevent loads from being marked loaded or unloaded if a driver passes by the facility or checks in early and gets told to come back at a later time. **What problems is Descartes MacroPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Carrier visibility and allowing us to provide our customer with an additional layer of shipment transparency. MacroPoint's product is one of the more well-known tracking apps for drivers from marketing levels, easier to get transactional drivers to use the app. Also we really like the BI Tool and the data it provides to help correct carrier performances. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** Driver's ability to self report arrival and departures times. The GPS geofence is accurate, and should be no need for driver to do his own reporting. We see this only causes errors. **Recommendations to others considering Descartes MacroPoint:** You will be very satisfied with MacrPoint's overall customer service levels. It is a night and day difference coming from competitors' programs. I highly suggest people consider MacroPoint for tracking needs. Their app/program seems to be one of the most successfully marketed app amongst drivers. **What problems is Descartes MacroPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Customers are demanding full visibility of their loads at 85-90% accuracy. MacroPoint helps a broker achieve that success. Having MacroPoint also generally cuts down on workflow, not having to call drivers for updates manually. I put an order in atleast 10-20 times a day and most of the time it works perfectly. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** The least helpful thing would be the "tracking waiting for an update" status we get when trying to track a load. I understand cell service isn't everywhere but that can cause some issues when we are unable to get ahold of our drivers. This is an extremly effective tool to use and I highly recommend it. We use it every day and is the best tracking method. **What do you dislike about Descartes MacroPoint?** On the broker side, and as an Admin, I wish there was more visibility for carriers integrated with ELD. Often times carriers struggle with adding their TRK/TRL#'s to their ELD provider and causes delays and disruptions where we can't get tracking until the carrier performs the task on their end first. I understand some carriers are not technologically savvy and would be willing to help if I could. If there was a way to add a specific reference number from my side, have it email/notify the carrier to accept and automatically add it for future use, could streamline the process. **What problems is Descartes MacroPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fraud has been a huge industry setback as technology keeps advancing.
