I think is a pretty good tool, I particularly like the autocomplete, the Data Comparison and Sync.

In some cases the Pivot table and query history helped me a lot to debug or check the data.

Two things to improve I think is the hability to use Copilot or other AI for code completion.

The most useful and time saving feature for me are:

Being able to duplicate a table or stored procedure with a click

Visually Comparing schemas and fixing schemas

Having all my various DB connections on the side

Snippet manager for reusing queries (although I think this could be improved a bit).

There isn't anything I dislike about the product, other than it's quite pricey and I wish the snippet support was organized differently to show up inside the database you use them for,on the left hand side as opposed to globally at the top menu bar, as queries are typically specific to a particular table or database. dbForge has an intuitive feel; the interface is very easy to navigate, and things feel self-explanatory as you move through it. When developing SQL, it puts up code completions, which are extremely helpful and great for productivity. For me, I use a bunch of snippets, which you can tuck away and easily recall as you tap away—very handy.

The recent inclusion of the source control is fairly basic but entirely enough to be workable.

Before purchasing dbForge, I tried all of the other well-known tools, and I felt this is the best—I had been using a free tool for years prior and kicked myself that I hadn't decided earlier to invest in a tool like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our Company is making color masterbatches for the Synthetic Fibres Industry and we cannot operate with the standard BoM system because we have several recipes for the same color.

We have a complex system using official financial ERP software, Excel for the recipe calculation and a PHP front-end based on a MySQL database. Our need was to make the communication among these as much automatic and error-free as possible. Add to this that we are based in Italy, and the localisation makes the usage of. csv files a nightmare.

After trying unsuccessfully other software, finally, DbForge for MySQL brilliantly resolved all our problems. Among other useful features, what was key for us is:

• The straightforward and flawless two ways communication with Excel: we can finally stop worrying about decimal separators and misrepresentation of zero and blank cells,

• The quick and easy way to automate via command line the export/import from one database to another,

• The ability to handle huge files providing very useful tools (SQL Editor, Query Builder, Script, Pivot)

After months of research and testing, we can confidently attest that none of the competitors offers the same capabilities and tools at a similar convenient price.

Lastly, communication with Devart people is easy and fast: they are very collaborative and helpful.
