Oracle Toad is expensive and need too many resources to run and computer became slow some time when run some big query.

What do you like best about Toad For Oracle?

In toad we can connect to any PROD & NON PROD databases.

We can easily add space , datafiles to the particular tablespace.

It takes a lot of time for login.

It can support mutiple databses types like IBM DB2, oracle db, cybase, etc. Also load with so many features like schema change, and easy to switch to other db and query and get data and export into various formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Toad For Oracle?

It helps to connect to oracle databases as many as we required.

It gives a proper view of a SQL query, unlike other DB tools which does not provide a view, toad helps in searching, substituting a field in where block and so on.

It also helps in extracting of records in large numbers to XML files and other supported formats.

The view and the time taken to execute helps us to improve the performances and it also shows the error as and when the format/syntax becomes incorrect, which helps us as software developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toad For Oracle?

User experience can be improved as other types of databases such as PLSQL have their user interfaces maintained well.

Importing data into tables is time consuming, i think it can also be improved.

While in citrix, application connecting to database requires lot of study in order to connect via firwall and so on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Toad For Oracle solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Toad to connect, analyse, debug, construct SQL and other db operations towards databases as part of our application used in our organization.

What do you like best about Toad For Oracle?

I have been using Toad for 2 years now and I am impressed with the options we have in this tool. It is an easy to use tool for running Oracle PL/SQL queries, procedures, view various schemas and underlying objects in your database, debug your scripts and so much more. What do you dislike about Toad For Oracle?

Sometimes it freezes very bad and takes a hell lot of time to recover. Might be just an issue for me given the staorage issues on my machine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This, in my opinion, is the easiest tool to use for someone who needs database access and isn't primarily a database developer.Ease of use includig the graphic interphase can't be beat. No need to write SQL statements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
