What do you like best about Databricks?

Having worked in various data platforms over the last 30 years I found DataBricks to be easy to deploy and easy to understand. Allowing for fantastic performance and usefulness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databricks?

The biggest struggle is trying to convince old-school relational DW Architects that they should modernize before they get left behind. Eliminating the fear by explaining to them they can still use SQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Databricks?

The SQL workspace has improved a lot and many of the new features are very applicable to data analytic work. The machine learning module from MLflow provides a great pipeline framework for data scientist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databricks?

Setting up the work environment is still challenging. Some of the UI component can be improved, for example, I don't really like the way how the directories are displayed on the platform now because often time I cannot see the full name of the folder or files. What do you like best about Databricks?

The upscale in storing and retrieving large quantities of data with its sdk to s3. In addition, great resources allocation support and additional tools such as clearml. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The compatibility to pandas is lacking due to the fact that it is mainly used by me with pyspark which didnt allow an optimal usage for the various pandas libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"More Robust than other platforms"

What do you like best about Databricks?

I'm traditionally a SQL Data Engineer, but after getting into Databricks, I'm seeing the advantages of using both SQL and Python depending on the DE task, and with how simple Databricks optimizes what used to be a manual process for me, I would prefer to stick with this as my Lakehouse Platform of choice.
