The web and mobile platforms deliver comprehensive planning tools, real-time data capture and insightful analytics to support better decision making and efficient reporting. Our farm-focused customer success team is there step-by-step, making it easy for growers to get value fast. In 2009, Conservis wasn’t founded to be about farming. It was built around enterprise sustainability and how we could help people do more with less. After presenting the notion that farmers may have an advantage if they could show transparency into how crops were produced, a group of farmers approached us. “We’re trying to figure out how to get access to capital, to grow more sustainably, and we think traceability is going to be a market advantage.” The farmers showed us the path. With our eye on doing more with less, we landed on ‘conserve’. Conservis is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company, but the service component is so critical that we built it into our DNA. Centered on supporting our client’s diverse needs, we landed on ‘service’. Conserve + service = Conservis Over a decade later, our farmer-first approach worked. In July of 2021, Conservis was acquired by a Dutch bank (Rabobank), and a Canadian telecommunications company (TELUS), solidifying that we are in this for the long haul. Today we have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in helping producers manage the business of farming. ## Conservis Reviews ### 1. Conservis is worth it! It is simple and straight forward once you get used to it. **What problems is Conservis solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have reaped thousands of dollars in crop insurance payments because Conservis keeps me organized and the record keeping speeds up the claim process. Before Conservis, I had gone 10 years with little to know crop insurance claims because my records were not good enough to track insurance losses. In the first year with Conservis, I made more on 1 field of insurance, then my entire farm claimed in 10 years. (and no, I had not gone 10 years without a recordable loss, just didn't track them well enough before Conservis). ### 2. Tickets are automatically created for every application (i.e. seed, fertilizer, chemical, harvest) if you are integrated with John Deere or Climate FieldView that you can refer back to and see exactly what is happening, soon after it happens. All of these tickets then create reports that you can view telling you how much has been applied per field or farm, inventory remaining, and many other different aspects. **What do you dislike about Conservis?** For me, the planning and budgeting is the least useful- so many things change throughout the year and most doesn't go according to plan. **Recommendations to others considering Conservis:** Conservis has allowed us to keep all of our information on the farm in one place. We can access prices, products, all of our applications, analytical reports, purchases, cost per acre, and cost per bushel, among many other things. We really enjoy using the platform, and the customer service is remarkable. If you have any problems at all, the support team will walk you through it step-by-step. I highly recommend using Conservis as a platform to organize your agricultural company and make decisions. **What problems is Conservis solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to quickly see and manage our inventory, and pull reports much faster than if we were to just use Excel or do it manually. We can make decisions much quicker. With so many inputs coming in and out of our doors every day, it is crucial to be able to monitor them. It's also a great way to monitor activities- whether that is production/planting activities or harvesting. Conservis provides an easy way to get an overview of where we are in our day to day processes. Everyone I've come in contact with at Conservis operates at a level of excellence. **What do you dislike about Conservis?** It would be helpful if there was a "clear filters" button anytime there is a filter option. Currently you have to manually clear out the filters when using them. Also, it appears that you are unable to delete an input, you can only deactivate it. It would be helpful if deleting was an option in the event you no longer use the input and it isn't tied to any tickets, or if it was created in error. **Recommendations to others considering Conservis:** Having the ability to easily track inputs, activities and costs makes Conservis a valuable investment for your company. It provides an excellent way for production activities to be communicated back to your office. **What problems is Conservis solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are monitoring inputs, applications and costs. The need to review data entered for accuracy or the lacking of data is essential for the quality of the data. Once this is done, field application records are used for custom operations performed and tracking of inputs applied vs. physical inventory. Keeping track of the grain inventory is an essential piece for marketing and accounting for each load delivered. ### 7. From the beginning of the process and throughout, the support team has been responsive in a timely, professional and efficient manner. **What do you dislike about Conservis?** To date, we have not encountered a situation in which we have not been able to resolve. **Recommendations to others considering Conservis:** If you are prepared to make an investment of your time, you will reap the return. **What problems is Conservis solving and how is that benefiting you?** With the use of Conservis in our farming operation we have been able to create field plans and work orders, increasing organization, efficiency, and productivity, track inventory, creating ease of accounts payable and receivable, and develop an accrual budget, allowing our business to gather financial data for the crop year. With the data we have gathered we are able to realize our actual cost of production per field. This provides our business the opportunity to optimize our grain marketing strategy. In addition, we are recognizing areas which require improvements, as well as areas which we are performing well. Overall we can use this as a tool to increase our profit margin while producing a quality product. Conservis has also saved time with the reporting capability, including an FSA report. ### 9. I am easily and instantly able to access records and data that may be months or even years old. Before Conservis, accessing such archived information was very time consuming. ### 10.
