"Coalesce Supercharges Data Warehousing with No‑Code Speed and Best Practices"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

I've worked with most major data transformation tools over the last 15 years, and Coalesce is hands-down my favorite among them all. We're able to deliver faster data integration, quality, and warehouse projects internally and for our clients because of Coalesce's no-code / low-code interface. What previously would take several data engineers now can be delivered with 1 or 2, and in less time.

Coalesce writes complex transformations for you and with proper best practices, allowing you to stand up an integrated data warehouse in significantly less time. The lineage feature makes it easy to troubleshoot errors and trace the root cause. The ability to propagate columns changes to downstream transformations with a few clicks saves hours of time per task. Using the software development best practices makes deployment fast and reliable. Onboarding new team members is very efficient - if they know SQL and understand data pipelines, then Coalesce is the most effective tool to quickly bring new team members up-to-speed.

It's also flexible enough to easily migrate from other platforms because you can easily drop your code into their AI engine and it will create the transformations for you. Whether it's a new project or moving away from an existing technology, you can implement fast and efficiently.

On top of the tools amazing features, the sales and support team members are the most responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful compared to any other software vendor I've ever worked with.

Lastly, they continue to add new features based on real feedback from customers to ensure we're always getting the best value for our money. Coalesce is easily one of my favorite products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

Can't think of any. If we ever have a question or feature request, they're always very helpful in pointing us in the right direction or transparant on when it will be released. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Data Warehousing"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

I appreciate Coalesce for simplifying the development process by modularizing code into reusable standard and custom node types, which enforces consistency and reduces development time. I like the combination of simplicity and flexibility, as I can quickly start building nodes and prototyping, while also having the flexibility of custom node types for complex use cases. The standard prebuilt node types are easy to use and applicable to a majority of data warehousing use cases without needing much configuration. I find it pretty easy to set up Coalesce - all I need is a simple connection to Snowflake and Git, and I can start working quickly. The documentation makes these configurations easy to follow. What do you dislike about Coalesce?

In the future it would be great to have additional options and capabilities to work side by side with data modeling tools. For example, being able to use the data modeling tool to create the logical and physical data model, and allowing Coalesce to easily work within the data model that is deployed to Snowflake from the modeling tool rather than having to recreate the facts, dims, etc. directly in Coalesce. "Effortless Data Transformation with Coalesce"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

I like Coalesce for its ease of use and organization, especially how it allows different workspaces for different developers. I also appreciate that all processes are stored in a GitHub repository. It's easy to use and maintain, and deploying and managing jobs and logs is straightforward. The integration feels like working on GitHub from my local machine, but with a nice UI that makes creating and maintaining pipelines and nodes much easier. The initial setup was easy and straightforward, even for those with less coding experience. Additionally, Coalesce provides more benefits and is more user-friendly compared to dbt, which we used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

I would like an easy way to transform current SQL code that contains CTEs into one or many Coalesce nodes without the hard work or amount of time that it requires going into the original code and seeing how you can break that code to fit it in Coalesce nodes. Managing/storing environment and workspace credentials could definitely be improved. There have been many times that I have to go to Snowflake and copy and paste manually different sections instead of maybe having a drop-down menu based on my Snowflake access. Also, many times I have to input my credentials again because they got wiped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bulk Editing and Modular Pipelines Make Building Workflows a Breeze"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

I like the bulk editing abilities the most. A close second is the modular feel when building pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

Lack of online courses for features. There are webinars and quickstart guides but sometimes i just need a specific deep dive on node types when I'm building it from scratch for the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Deployment, Exceptional UI"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

I like that the UI of Coalesce is great and it's very easy to use. It's also very easy to explain to nontechnical users, which is a big plus. The initial setup is always incredibly easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

I think there could be some documentation improvements. I've been saying for years that they should have some sort of role management tool and a little more documentation on how to create custom nodes and what best practices look like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Coalesce is a fantastic transformational tool!"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

Coalesce's intuituve user interface, highly engaged developers making active improvements to the platform, and overall focus on helping us get data transformed in a complex way allowing us to get data in a form we need it to add value to our business, both internally and externally. We use this tool day daily and at times work with Coalesce support to help us build out the platform to our exact needs. Coalesce helped us solve some specific use cases that would not have been doable with other tools on the market. It's also highly configurable so for power users who want to build it's a wonderful solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

The platform can be slower with larger environments. The mapped column interface can take a long time to load and be very slow to navigate for larger pipelines and ETLs. I'd like to see the GUI become faster and snappier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Coalesce, the modern Pipeline Development tool"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

I like that Coalesce is Git forward and intuitive by design. The out of the box nodes account for many common Data Engineering processes AND if you need something that isn't covered, it's simple to script jinja to make the node do what you need it to do. The team supported us every step of the way and the speed at which we were able to implement pipelines in the product was days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

As a coder, it was tough to adjust to the UI at first, but once I realized the power of the Jinja templates and how I could still code in the backend to make my DAGs even more powerful - it was no longer a downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative and Agile Product Accelerating Data Activation"
What do you like best about Coalesce?

Coalesce is an easy to use platform that stays lock step with Snowflake so I'm always able to leverage the latest functionality of Snowflake within my production ready pipelines. There is an active package library that allows me to extend the base functionality of the platform to address more custom use cases and initiatives. Coalesce lowers the barrier of entry for new users accelerating how quickly engineers can ensure data products are ready for consumption. They have excellent customer service and proven results that show they are listening to their users. It has been a pivotal decision for our Snowflake journey that has become foundational in our success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

Documentation is greatly enhanced through the use of Coalesce catalog but the editor lacks some level of customization found in other platforms. Package updates are frequent, but the effort to make mass adjustments through a large DAG remains cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Has been a game changer for our team."
What do you like best about Coalesce?

We have a broad level of experience on our team, from new-grad to decades of experience. Both are able to use Coalesce in the way they see fit, and Coalesce meets them where they're at....whether it's through the UI or bringing your own code. The support team has been fantastic, and they're constantly adding features to make things more efficient for their end users. Coalesce is also very competitive price-wise with other tools in the same class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coalesce?

The online community documentation is still growing, but rapidly catching up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
