## CloudZero Reviews
  ### 1. CloudZero’s Customizable Cost Tracking with Business Insight

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pankaj K. | Network Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

What I like best about CloudZero is the flexibility it gives me to build my own views and reports. In my experience, being able to customize dashboards based on what I actually want to track — whether it’s by workload, environment, or customer — makes a big difference.

I don’t have to rely on rigid, predefined reports. I can tailor the cost tracking to match our business needs and present the data in a way that makes sense for leadership and engineering teams. That level of customization has been the most valuable part for me.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

One thing I didn’t like about CloudZero was the limited ability to view detailed usage metrics directly from the regular Explorer dashboard. In my experience, whenever I needed deeper or more granular information, I had to create a separate Analytics dashboard.

While the analytics capability is powerful, having to build a new dashboard each time I wanted detailed insight felt cumbersome and time-consuming. It would be much more efficient if more detailed usage metrics were accessible directly within the standard Explorer view.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero is solving the problem of connecting cloud spend to business outcomes. Instead of just seeing AWS costs by service, we can understand costs by customer, product, or workload.

That benefits us by giving better visibility into what’s driving spend, improving forecasting, and enabling more informed decisions around optimization and pricing.

  ### 2. Exceptional Support, Streamlines Cost Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I actually like the customer success team and the team members who support us as part of our tier of service. Everyone has been at the highest level of professionalism and they're incredibly responsive. The customer success engagement is something we use regularly, especially when there's new functionality we want to take advantage of or when we're customizing some of our existing reports. We have high confidence and trust in CloudZero's functionality because of their customer success team. They've been regularly supporting us and guiding us to show us best practices with CloudZero. I'm at the point of starting several new initiatives, and having the customer success team right there from the start has been huge help. They tell us the right piece of CloudZero functionality to use, and they put us in a position where we don't make any mistakes that we discover later.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I think that the customization of dimensions and the reference data setups, while great that they're all centrally managed in a single YAML file, the editing of that file can probably be a bit more user-friendly. If I had to regularly make these edits on my own, I would like a little bit more usability. They're definitely geared to being developer friendly, but it would be great if this could be something I could hand off to less experienced or non-developer members of my team. To do that, I'd need something with a much better user experience.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero helps me get a high-level overview of spend across many AWS accounts, reducing the tedium of AWS's own cost explorer. It also alerts me to spend anomalies and regularly introduces new features for savings plans and end-of-life costs.

  ### 3. Exceptional Cost Management and Customer Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed H.

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I really appreciate CloudZero's customer success team; they feel like an extension of our own team. They're proactive and deeply knowledgeable about our specific environments, which helps us drive adoption and improve our unit economics. Another great aspect is the flexibility to tag resources for allocation without relying on native tools, something that isn't possible with AWS or Azure alone. Using CloudFormation and dimensions with CloudZero is a tremendous help, and it's my favorite feature about the platform. Additionally, I found the setup process to be very smooth and seamless. Within a week, we were already looking at our data and it felt like CloudZero had been part of our infrastructure for a long time.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I think everything has been good so far. I think with the way AI is changing business models, there could be improvements on the AI reporting, like types of AI, models, tokens, and visibility into who's consuming more tokens. More detailed AI reporting, similar to what they do on cloud today, would be better.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero transforms our approach by providing granular cost visibility unattainable with native tools, turning complex data into actionable insights easily understood by our engineering and finance teams.

  ### 4. Flexible Cost Management with Ease of Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory C. | Senior Principal Business Services Partner

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I think the custom views via whatever dimension you want to slice by are very helpful. You can make sure that you carve out specific anomalies or detection for a given product, service, or business unit, however you slice your data. That's very helpful so that we can make sure that we're sending the right message, to the right people, at the right time. Also, CloudZero was incredibly flexible, allowing us to bring our own dimensions in and customize our views to get a holistic view of the entire estate.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I would love more granular control over the role-based access control (RBAC). We'd like to have a little more granularity in roles that exist within the system so people can edit dashboards and self-serve more regularly without being full admins. I know this is on the roadmap though.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CloudZero to understand our costs in public cloud, get unit level economics insights, and put costs in front of engineers. It gives a holistic view of our cloud estate with customizable views for detecting anomalies.

  ### 5. Senior Cloud Architect

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CloudZero's Kubernetes cost reporting is accurate and very helpful to show engineering teams their share of cluster costs.

CloudZero does a great job of showing costs based on usage type for a given provider

Cost Formation allows you to version dimensions/datasets. In addition, I can create dimensions much faster by defining the dimension in YAML

CloudZero seems much more intuitive to use than other cloud cost platforms

The views are not as busy as other cost reporting platforms making it easier to read/use

Their AI model cost display allows us to show costs per token, per model, and other granular criteria

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

They need to improve their UX. I would like to add users via an API call.

We would like to see usage in gigabytes with costs for certain AWS services as well as for New Relic costs.

They need to improve their budgets so you can sort and filter

It would be nice to be able to add users via API call instead of manually

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping with engagement with engineering teams and leadership
Providing detailed cost dimensions/dataset to make better views. This is especially true in the Kubernetes and AI model spaces
The ability to notify via Slack has helped with notifications to engineering teams and leadership. Notifications no longer go to the email spam folder
Putting up soft spending boundaries with the use of budgets and budget notifications

  ### 6. Streamlined Cloud Cost Management with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Μανος . | Scientific Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I really appreciate the custom grouping and tagging features in CloudZero, along with the view that highlights top spenders and cost drivers. These capabilities transform complex, fragmented billing data into clear, actionable insights, helping me control cloud spending and optimize resources in alignment with business structure. Also, the executives having their own dashboards for checking cloud spend is pretty valuable. The initial setup was very easy and smooth, which was a relief.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I think there is a lot of space for development and grouping using dimensions in case that tags and resources need to reflect the general picture. Also, flexibility around resource grouping names, middle ground views with specific roles, initial tagging, speed, and scalability.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CloudZero for visibility and transparency, cost allocation and tagging, plus executive dashboards. It transforms complex billing data into actionable insights, helping to control spend and optimize resources aligned with our business structure. Executives have their own dashboard for checking cloud spend.

  ### 7. Game-Changer for Cost Visibility and FinOps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I like the awesome UI for navigating costs, which makes it easier for me to manage. The support from the FAM team is amazing; they're not just support but like part of our team, always helping us solve complex problems and making our lives easier. It's not just a tool, but a complete solution with a dedicated person helping us solve our FinOps problems. I also appreciate how pretty easy the initial setup was, thanks to the sales team doing a great proof of value in a short period of time.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

The Kubernetes optimization insights could be better. It should have a dedicated area for Kubernetes to view usage and recommendations over time, and make it easier to navigate savings opportunities. The information in the Optimizer is a lot, and it's hard to see and prioritize with teams. It would also be useful to send savings opportunities to teams, with reports by team, namespace, category, recommendation, etc. Sometimes it takes CloudZero a while to update data using CUR and anomalies, so we also use native tools from GCP and AWS.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CloudZero for improved visibility across multiple cloud providers, enhancing our FinOps culture. It solves our cloud spend allocation issues and provides full cost visibility for finance, product, and engineering. It also identifies anomalies, helping us avoid costs and optimize our environment.

  ### 8. Great Insights, but Complex Setup

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott R.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I like that the CloudZero team has been extremely hands-on in helping us get it implemented. It's been really helpful, especially when our attention might be on other business items. I also appreciate how CloudZero provides insights into spend patterns and usage patterns. The insights into high spend categories and suggesting savings plans are super useful for us.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Setting up CloudZero has been a bit challenging for us. It's a comprehensive process with a lot of moving parts, which makes it tough to get everything implemented and set up correctly. Communicating directly what we need from the platform has been difficult as well. Additionally, our AE was transferred midway through, adding complexity as the new AE got up to speed. I wish there was more of an out-of-the-box solution, even though I understand it's very customizable. The setup process is still ongoing, and it's not the easiest as it requires a lot of user input.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero solves the problem of visibility by centralizing data, providing direct insights into product delivery costs, forecasting, spend patterns, and usage without manual data pulling.

  ### 9. Granular Cloud Cost Visibility with Actionable Unit-Economics Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amir S. | Product Owner - Governance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CloudZero delivers incredibly granular, reliable visibility across AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks, making it easy to spot waste and optimize spend. It translates cloud costs into meaningful business and unit‑economics insights while empowering engineers with real‑time, actionable data. Its automation, ML-driven intelligence, and strong FinOps partnership make cost management both effortless and impactful.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Sometimes the forecasting isn’t accurate, and the dashboards should be easier to refresh after any change.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero is helping us overcome long‑standing gaps in cloud cost transparency by giving us granular, real‑time visibility across AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake. It replaces manual, error‑prone reporting with automated ingestion and normalized cost data, enabling accurate drill‑downs by service, workspace, data domain, and job level, as shown in our FinOps and BCBSWY decks. With this visibility, we can now quickly identify underutilized resources, oversized compute, inefficient storage patterns, and idle Snowflake warehouses—directly driving significant reductions in cloud spend, including the savings demonstrated in the BCBSMA results. CloudZero also strengthens anomaly detection and budget governance, helping us catch issues earlier and improve forecasting accuracy across client environments. Overall, CloudZero enables us to make data‑driven decisions, improve accountability across teams, and deliver clearer, more reliable cost insights to both internal stakeholders and clients.

  ### 10. Flexible Budgets and Clear Spend Visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Budgets: the ability to create them and the flexibility in how they can be set. Also, the unit and metric stream finally gives us visibility into our spending and where the money goes.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Notifications aren’t granular enough. For example, for a given budget I receive anomalies, weekly updates, monthly updates, and budget alerts all in the same channel. I’d like to be able to choose which notifications I’m interested in and route them to different channels (for instance, I want to be notified about an anomaly, but not necessarily about a weekly update).

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have more visibility into our spending so we can identify savings opportunities and see a direct impact. Team also have a better understanding when costs change and what the root cause is.

  ### 11. All Cloud Platforms in Centralized location

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas H. | Executive Vice President of IT Infrastructure, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Combining all platforms into one, helping our several cloud providers be brought into one.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

To heavy AWS specific. AWS is trending down, especially support. Need to have more azure recommendations that work with utilization reports.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have about 30 azure subscriptions, several amazon accounts, gcp and instead of having to login to each it solves it by giving me a centralized platform. When savings are recommended we still need to go in and validate it since its not 100% accurate but gets us in the right direction.

  ### 12. CloudZero: Easy Cost Intelligence with Minor Alerts Improvement Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew L.

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

I like CloudZero for its ease of use and how it makes cost intelligence straightforward by helping identify unnecessary spending on cloud platforms. I also appreciate the knowledgeable staff who provide recommendations for saving costs beyond just the scope of the platform.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I find the monitoring and alerting features lacking. It would be great to have a projected spend alert, like 'Your projected spend at the current rate will hit X amount,' and then send the alert to Slack or email. Also, I think it would be helpful to have active monitoring rather than just passive reporting, like cutting the noise and alarming on specific cost anomalies.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CloudZero for cost intelligence, helping to identify extraneous spending in cloud platforms.

  ### 13. Actionable Cloud Cost Visibility with Near Real-Time Insights and Strong Unit Economics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

What I value most about CloudZero is its ability to provide clear, actionable visibility into cloud costs by directly linking spend to the underlying business drivers.
By attributing costs to teams, services, features, and customers, it enables meaningful collaboration between Finance and Engineering and supports informed decision-making.
The near real-time insights and strong unit economics capabilities help organizations proactively manage cloud spend, reduce waste, and align infrastructure investments with business outcomes.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

One area of improvement for CloudZero is the learning curve for new users, particularly for stakeholders who are less familiar with cloud architectures or FinOps concepts.
While the platform is powerful, fully leveraging its advanced features requires an upfront investment in enablement and ongoing governance. Additionally, some organizations may find that achieving the most granular insights depends on a certain level of data hygiene and integration effort, which can take time to mature.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero addresses the lack of transparency and accountability in cloud spending by connecting infrastructure costs to the services, teams, and business outcomes that generate them. Instead of treating cloud spend as a fixed or opaque overhead, it enables detailed cost attribution and unit economics, which allows Finance and Engineering to make data-driven decisions together.
This has benefited us by improving cost ownership, reducing unplanned spend, and enabling proactive cost optimization rather than reactive cost control. It also strengthens forecasting accuracy and supports margin protection by making the financial impact of technical decisions visible early and in near real time.

  ### 14. Saves Time with Accurate Cost Allocation, Setup Simplicity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Utsaw K. | Android Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I find CloudZero incredibly useful for coast analysis as it allows monitoring every step effectively and facilitates the creation of budgets efficiently. I really appreciate how it enables proper budgeting and economic optimization, offering a precisely detailed cost allocation. The main benefit for me is the significant amount of time I save using it, which is a crucial advantage. Its integration with other tools like AWS native service, Datalog for monitoring, and Slack for alerts further enhances its usability and functionality. Additionally, the setup was straightforward, which made transitioning from AWS Cost Explorer to CloudZero an easy choice. The product outperforms AWS in management, prompting my suggestion to the team to make the switch. All these factors contribute to my high likelihood of recommending it to others, which I rated as a 9 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I find the cost formation rules in CloudZero to be complex and challenging to understand, particularly for users with less experience, which could require more time to comprehend and utilize effectively.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CloudZero for detailed cost analysis and budget creation, which ensures economic optimization and saves me significant time. The precise cost allocation is invaluable to my team.

  ### 22. Great solution for our cloud FinOps needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob M. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Support for all of our major providers, from the infrastructure providers to major other services like Snowflake, Datadog, etc. Flexible reporting and alerting, stellar customer success managers. Its like having a great tool and second set of eyes on our spend.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Small company with immaturity in places, still learning, but listening and moving forward. Note this is minor and has much improved over the last couple years.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility into spend. Even with a single infrastructure provider like AWS it was much improved over what they offer. But having that same visibility accross all our major spend for R&D (outside of people) is fantastic. We can track spend, report back on projects, initiatives etc. We get alerts on spikes and proactively chase unexpected cost spikes etc. We find issues before Finance notices.

  ### 23. Provide Cost allocation, Spending Insights and Support Financial Planning of our Cloud Spend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan Daniel S. | VP Global IoT Solutions, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CloudZero makes it easy for us to allocate costs and understand the spending for our Cloud environment (primary AWS). Additionally, it allows us to generate insights and clearly flag changes that are unexpected or resulting from architectural decisions. We are leveraging CloudZero mostly on the engineering level with our delivery teams, but we also use it as a financial support team to plan our costs and allow financial reconciliation.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

There are still some open points to integrating the discovered Insights into our processes, such as a Jira Integration allowing our Engineers to act on findings even faster.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost allocation of AWS Spend. Understanding spends across services and allocation of cost to different services.

  ### 24. CloudZero has been an excellent window into our Cloud Spend

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CloudZero can give you an excellent view into your Cloud costs, enabling you the flexibility to cut up complex infrastructure into buckets that make sense for your use case.
The ability to quickly integrate multiple Cloud Providers into the tool gives an amazing single pane of glass. This allows for easy comparison between spend changes across multiple vectors.
Asside from the software itself, the access you gain to a FinOps Account manager has been great. Having an expert from the CloudZero side to support in configuration and troubleshoot problems enables things to get sorted quickly - ultimately improving the experience for internal customers.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Where I think they can improve is arround some of their reporting functionality. In part, this is the overall management of those alerts including configuration and dissmissal but also the depth of information they provide.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero enables us to view and breakdown cloud costs across all of our Cloud Providers. Its providing a single pane of glass view, that prevents this information in a way that makes sense for engineers and product managers.
The engine underneath is allowing us to calculate unit costs and ultimately the efficicency of the infrastructure that we're providing.

This level of visibility at scale is something we have never had.

  ### 25. Cloud Cost transparency at the next level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Product Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Easy interface. Ability to integrate over 50+ telemetries and allocation for our org. Great self-service dashboard capabilities. Unlocking cost transparency at the ressource level makes it accessible from C-Level to engineer and is the key piece to enable FinOps throughout the organization. Great customer support team, post sales and constant product evolution is amazing! Implementation was very easy even given our highly complex telemetries for shared cost.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

We used to have some latencies in loading dashboards and explorer views, but this has been fixed several months ago.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

UI feels a bit clunky, but it's not a big pain point for a tool I do not use every day.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes cost monitoring easy. I do not want to spend too much time on it but I also don't want to neglect it. CZ helps most with cost anomalies, budgets, and quick insights in the Insights tab.

  ### 27. An invaluable tool for understanding and attributing where your cloud spend is coming from

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony F. | Product Director - Platform Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

The attribution model (cost-formation) is really powerful (without being too complex). It's helped us to allocate cost at various levels of the organisation. This in combination with the great UI enables infrequent users to quickly see what they are spending.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

The forecasting side of the tool is pretty limited it would be great to see this evolve especially through the use of AI.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables us to interpret, allocate and represent our cloud spend (across multiple vendors).
We're also using the allocated data to feed back into our BI tooling and give us real time unit cost.

CloudZero gives us great insights into our cloud spending. Its ability to allocate costs to specific teams, products, and features has significantly improved our understanding of where resources are being consumed, giving us a more wholistic view of the environment.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

The learning curve for using CloudZero's key features can be rough for new users. Additionally, initial setup and and jumping in when it hasn't been updated recently required a good amount of effort to ensure accurate cost attribution, and if not maintained, it obviously hurts the amount of insight that can be derived .

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Wholistic view of our spending profile and easy allocation across departments and teams

  ### 32. Effective tooling to drive down cloud costs; outstanding engagement from the CloudZero team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Over the last twelve months we’ve made use of CloudZero to make huge savings to our cloud spend, make sustainable, meaningful changes to our engineering-spend culture, and to enhance our SaaS unit economics.

CloudZero is by far the best value software I buy here. Over the course of 12 months it’s almost inevitable that we break even with the savings we make against our subscription costs.

Finally, the team at CloudZero are a huge asset to us, it’s like having another team member keeping tabs on things. I have a fortnightly call with Mark Banz who always finds something I’ve missed, and Matt Manger was instrumental in gearing us up for success.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

It's a hard one. They replatformed from using quicksight to looker internally which broke a few bookmarks I had. The configuration yaml could be more intuitive but they provide great tooling and usually the AM is doing that anyway

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Quickly identify accidental spend (bugs) and rectify before the damage becomes too big. At Elliptic we process huge (TODO - how much) volumes of data on a daily basis, and our exposure to risk here is large.
- Identify opportunities for cost saving. To take a recent example, our compute spend has gone up, which we expect, but our compute savings plan is now constantly at 100%, which means we’re fully exposed to paying on demand prices for compute. Time to consider bolstering that savings plan.
- Put spend data directly into the hands of the engineers making real decisions on the ground, “shifting left” on cost culture and meaning we have less bugs, and less opportunities for saving, as we are more deliberate about spend up-front

  ### 36. Simple Visibility into Complex Cloud Environments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CloudZero has an easy to browse interface for visualizing and representing your Cloud Costs to your key stakeholders. On top of it's interface, are the customizations that make it simple to update Dimensions which would otherwise require tagging efforts to be previously performed. The CloudZero FAM, is the unsung hero of CloudZero, bringing so much value to the organization from planning, to building out dashboards, and helping us achieve our business objectives.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

CloudZero, while having capabilities to encorporate multiple key integrations with Cloud Providers, has enabled us to add more sources of billing data to CloudZero through the AnyCost Billing data ingestion, but it still has some maturing to do, to enable a better user experience.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero is our single pane of glass for all of our Cloud costs, and simplifies breaking down even the most complicated cloud cost visibility issues. This has greatly improved my companies capability to save costs, by identifying the key areas of costs that can be reduced. The cost of CloudZero has already been paid down by all of the savings we have been able to achieve, and then some.

  ### 37. CZ review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

the anomaly detection and kubernetes cost allocation are the 2 things I like best about CZ. The platform also enables cross functional collaboration

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Not 100% due to CloudZero but billing data can take long time to be populated.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

detailed visibility into cloud spending

  ### 38. First Class Customer Service with a Highly Customizable Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CloudZero's real-time interactive usage allows for high adoption across our teams. We are able to quickly identify emerging trends giving our users fast insights with clarity on where to take action. The Dashboarding capabitlites allow for highly customized views so that we can focus directly in on key areas that we want our engienering teams focused on. Lastly, it is important to call out that our onboarding experience was top notch. We have been beyond impressed with the level of customer support we have received, not just in answering our questions but it proactive forethought to consider new ways to deliver value for our company.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

The highly customized features do require a longer learning curve compared with other cloud tools. However, the payoff is well worth what the visualations are able to produce.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us identify spend anomolies, budget exposures and targeted ways to address high spend areas with a more optimized approach.

  ### 39. Brings intelligence to a maturing area of financial management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2024

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Focus on unit economics and understanding that "every engineering decision is a buying decision". It is not enough at this point to simply understand volume and cost related to your cloud spend. Rather, CloudZero focuses on the unit economics associated to that spend, using your own real-world business data. What is your cost per "widget"? How do you optimize that cost per widget? This is where CloudZero excels beyond the competitors. The product provides you necessary context to make durable and data driven decisions.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

In our experience there have been no major issues with the product. That does not mean it is not perfect, however, the CloudZero team is top notch when it comes to seeking user feedback and actually doing something with it. Our feedback has resulted in numerous enhancements to meet our (and hopefully other customer) needs.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CloudZero helps me to understand the cloud financial impact of engineering and user driven decisions.

  ### 40. CloudZero: Centralized Cost Optimization Platform to review our cloud resource expenditures

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghna S. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

* CloudZero provides a detailed cost breakup of our cloud resources & offers practical recommendations for saving expenditures.

* All access privileges given to CloudZero are minimal, so no customer compliance is compromised.

* We can easily integrate our Slack channel into our CloudZero account to get real-time billing alerts.

* Any incident ticket raised regarding technical challenges is addressed immediately by its support team.

* By enabling its resources tagging feature, CloudZero generates periodic reports on the usage of that particular resource group & it helps us track our expenses regularly.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Improving its Dashboard with more filter options would be great for us. We are running through resource utilization from different cloud providers & having more filters would ease our task. This is a minor enhancement suggestion. We are satisfied with the cost optimization features and recommendations offered by CloudZero for our cloud infrastructure.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

* Resource tagging is brilliant in CloudZero as it provides clear visibility of our cloud infrastructure and related expenses.

* CloudZero Dimension is an interactive utility inside its platform where we can effectively drill down our cost explorer & detect anomalies.

* It also unifies all our monthly costs in a custom data format which is helpful during presentations with our clients.

* Categorizing our cloud cost allocation is also straightforward, as we can group them based on value, insight or demands.

* Monthly assessment report is beneficial to highlight where we can optimize our cloud expenses & prevent overspending on unused/underused resources in our cloud environments.

  ### 41. Good finops tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

CLoudZero is easy to setup, easy to manipulate, and the pricing is not a percentage of your cloud expenses !

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

For the moment the creation of custom report needs Cloudzero help

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Give a large overview of our cloud expenses (GCP and AWS)

  ### 42. Using CloudZero has allowed us to manage our cloud cost much more effectively!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan C. | VP of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Monthly cost reviews with the CloudZero team has helped us optimize cost across our AWS account. We also utilize the Cost anomaly alerts directly into slack, giving more clarity when something has changed to our engineering team. The ability to tag cost more directly to projects allows us to determine the ROI of specific projects much easier and accurately than what AWS offers.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

No real downside to CloudZero, we have made tremendous strides at budgeting our AWS spend, turning off unexpected spending and helping to determine business value of our projects. If anything I wish we had a little more control over tagging our resources within the tool. Right now we work with our rep on tagging items, but they are part of our slack integration, so that is still very easy.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Listed above, but to reiterate budgeting cloud spend, quickly finding areas we are spending too much and fixing those issues, quick cost estimates to help with Product prioritization and determination and giving more insight to our engineers on what is going on with our cloud spend to assist with all of these areas.

  ### 43. I’m really like this application. Works perfect for me.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Damian J. | Development Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

For me the best is main function of this application.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

There is no things to dislike in application.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps us to save money so cloud cost intelligence.

  ### 44. CloudZero review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilya D. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

That super cool that you can manage different kind of dashboards

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

That would be better if you can expand the onboarding guide

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real time costs consumption

  ### 45. Good product that puts a handle on AWS costs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

It is easy for us to see breakdowns on different levels across the company. As a squad member I am interested to see how my team is spending money, but then it's also easy to validate this spending across the larger organization and compare how my team is doing.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Using the tool from the APAC region is slower than I would like; it takes a while to filter down into the dimensions I'm interested in, and it's slow to move between the different filters. The slowness makes using the tool cumbersome from time to time, especially when you want to take a glance at your metrics.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool gives us detailed, hour-to-hour insights into our spending. When we are migrating our services, we can easily see the costs shift around. The software provides us with the confidence we are not missing any old resources when tidying up our migration.

  ### 46. Very useful tool for controlling your AWS cost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor P. | D, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

They show you all the details of your spending. I especially appreciate their anomaly detection and alerts. That allows reacting quickly when something goes awry .,

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I would like to see more flexibility with alert configuring. Allow more than one channel and e-mail, allow configure custom alert criteria.
We are also looking forward to being able to use CZ on the GCP.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recently, we were alerted by CZ about a spending anomaly with one of the products we use. It grew slowly, and we did not notice. When CZ warned us, we could drastically reduce spending on this product by optimizing its configuration.

  ### 47. Useful solution that enables us to drilldown into AWS expense and also identify increases, etc

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Ability to drilldown into AWS in a targeted way with the ability to work with a consultant to refine the different reports you use.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

Sometimes data needs alignment, especially with consistent changes to your AWS enviroement. Ensuring things are aligned with the way accounting looks at something is something you must consistently work on.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility into AWS for multiple teams throughought Operations

  ### 48. Excellent developer oriented AWS cost management platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean M. | EVP Infrastructure, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Provides exposure to cost data very well to engineers with an intuitive interface and anomaly detection via Slack. We were able to quickly identify a number of areas to eliminate waste, and have caught more than a few changes that where simple changes to the application saved us thousands of dollars a month.

Since the application engineering teams have so much control of our cloud infrastructure costs and want to do the right thing giving them exposure to this data has let us do the 80/20 optimizations that significantly reduce our bill with minimal effort.

A small example was a refactoring of code that interacted with S3 for our Pages product. The new code was making GET requests where only HEAD requests were needed. CloudZero reported a cost anomaly within a day of deployment and it was seen and fixed by the team that owned the service the following day. The feedback cycle was quick enough that the code was still top of mind for the engineer, so we ended up with very little wasted spend and the fix was fast to implement.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

The platform doesn't have support for GCP, which we also use and could use similar tooling for.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing transparency into AWS costs and helping us reduce them with minimal effort and cross team coordination.

Getting cost data closer to the employees that are making the decisions that impact it. The cost impact of changes for workloads that have moved from colocation facilities to AWS are largely controlled by the application development team, not the infrastructure team.

  ### 49. CloudZero team is great to work with. Special shout out to MattM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

Good people to work with and help us with COGS and cost visualization across AWS, Snowflake.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

No dislike, but we need integrations with GCP and NewRelic. We also need forecasting ability for 1 year (not just for 1 month)

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall cost visualization.

  ### 50. Game changer - engineering-friendly COGS tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew J. | Sr Staff DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2021

**What do you like best about CloudZero?**

The team at CloudZero has been awesome to work with, and they've helped us to break our cost down in ways that makes it easier to see not what optimizations will get us significant results, in particular lasting benefits. Also, the slack notifications on anomalies are great for quickly getting attention where it is useful.

**What do you dislike about CloudZero?**

I don't have any real complaints at present - I'm looking forward to being able to integrate projections with reporting.

**What problems is CloudZero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been using CloudZero to model and track our COGS, allowing us to prioritize infrastructure and cost focused work with good projections of likely value. Focusing on areas that we IDed as having high potential for savings in 2020 got us a ~20% reduction in our running costs.
