  ### 1. Comprehensive Review of Clarity Time Sheet Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ABHISHEK K. | Staff Engineer , Semiconductors, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Clarity Time Sheet Management offers a straightforward, user-friendly interface for tracking and managing employee time and project hours. It provides essential features for time tracking, making it suitable for both small and large organizations

Intuitive Interface: The dashboard is clean and easy to navigate, allowing users to quickly log hours and manage tasks.
Customizable: You can configure the timesheet settings to fit the specific needs of your team or project.
Reporting and Analytics: The tool provides robust reporting features, which allow managers to track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and allocate resources effectively.
Integration: It integrates well with other project management tools and systems like SAP, Jira, and others, which helps streamline workflows.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

Mobile App Limitations: While the desktop version works great, the mobile app can be a bit clunky, with occasional syncing issues.
Learning Curve for Advanced Features: While the basic functions are easy to understand, more advanced features like detailed reporting may require additional training.
Limited Offline Functionality: If you’re working in areas with poor connectivity, logging hours can be problematic, as the tool doesn’t offer robust offline functionality.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clarity Time Sheet Management solves time-tracking and project management challenges by ensuring accurate logging, optimizing resource allocation, and providing detailed reporting. This leads to better project efficiency, improved decision-making, and compliance with labor regulations, ultimately saving time and reducing errors.

I like being able to find employee information with Ease, and the onboarding (Employee set up wizard) function is very accessible.

I also do not like the Accrual system built into Clarity.

Clarity allows my company to process payroll in-house, making for a faster turnaround time when it comes to payroll processing days.

  ### 5. Clarity Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrison S. | Project Manager II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

The UI design far surpases any of its competitors. I currently use a mix of apps such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheets, and Clarity. I usually always lean on using Clarity for how clean my roadmaps come out unless told otherwise by my boss :P.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

It's not widely adopted yet, so if I want to use it, I usually need software exceptions at the companies I work with. The other con about this application is that it's excellent for agile frameworks but a little too complicated for using on waterfall projects.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that I solve with this software is managing projects at different levels. I can manage tasks and create reports at the roadmap level to share with my leadership.

  ### 6. Excellent tool for time filling and is in sync with Rally as well

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Since it is synced with Rally Tool, it automatically fills in time for each project as added on Rally.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

Nothing, literally! It is one of the best tools for time filling I've ever used!

Entering time spent on each of the project by each resource.

  ### 7. Clarity PPM used for successful project management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

The info is visible to all stakeholders - cost, risks, lessons learned, etc.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

There is a lag time (24 hrs) to get actual cost data from SAP

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides project information that is accessible to any stakeholder around the globe. It is easier for others to find things such as lessons learned archives instead of having them in a local project folder

  ### 8. Clarity PPM Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

It is extremely full featured and can be full customized to meet an organizations needs.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

With so many options and features new users can get lost without robust training documentation and guidance on an organizations particular usage expectations.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

Definitely worth a look, especially for larger organizations or organizations that need to manage a relatively large number of projects simultaneously.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clarity is currently being used for project status reporting as well as keeping track of hours worked on projects as well as how those hours are classified (expense vs capital, etc).

  ### 10. Use Service Desk Management and improve the service you provide to your users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maily M. | Informatics Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2019

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

What I like the most about CA Service Desk Management is that it allows you to follow up on each of the tickets that users report, it allows you to compile documentation about the case, attended and resolved, and additionally generates metrics that are used for performance evaluations. of the analysts who deal with these reported cases, also at the interface level is modifiable, so you can make the tool look as you see fit.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

What I do not like about CA Service Desk Manager is that sometimes it is quite slow when entering the application or updating the documentation of any of the tickets, and sometimes it is necessary to close the application and run it again because it stays fully hung, I think this should be corrected to improve the experience of those who use this application on a daily basis.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

If you have not used CA Service Desk Management before, I recommend you use your trial version so that you can discover the benefits of this wonderful application, beforehand I can assure you that it will help you to provide a more efficient service.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many solutions offered by CA Service Desk Management Starting with the fact that it is the communication channel between users and IT support staff, since it is through this brilliant application that users report the incidents so that they can be subsequently served by the responsible department, you can also track your incidence whether you want to see how the case you reported is going, or if you want to see the procedure or the documentation made in the case you are attending, that is, the application is very useful for users and administrators of the tool and of course you can not ignore the ease it offers when evaluating the performance of the personnel in charge of dealing with incidents, since it offers metrics that allow the evaluation of the work objectively.

  ### 11. Best tool for Project Management.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan P. | Senior Energy Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Projects can be customized and personalized reports can be developed according to business needs. We can quickly search / review and progress projects.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

Lent. Lent. It's going to take time to load sometime. Several fields exist and people don't use them.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

Cloud architecture organization is planning. If Clarity PPM is in Cloud, it will be nice.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For projects and portfolios, we use Clarity PPM. We monitor the status and phases of projects. For each plan, we will also follow up cost and portfolio results. Clarity is a thank-you tool.

  ### 12. Best ticketing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Capital Markets | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Best to create requests tickets and incidents

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

Slowness. We wont get to toggle between tickets fast

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create changes requests and tickets

  ### 13. CA service Desk Manager for Incident/Request Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

CA service Desk is user friendly and powerful tool to manage project changes and incidents. A simple interface for ticket creation and incident management, ability to generate reports on incident tickets. We also use ticket templates which makes our life easy to clone them.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

The one thing I didn't like in CA is it requires more clicks to route between multiple cases. Reports are hard to generate out of CA systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

If your organization is moving towards self-service and automation. This product will assist in moving you in that direction.Ensure you set up the assignment groups and assigned users correctly so the tickets can be accurately assigned.Be sure to review all aspects of the system and know what customization can be completed and the complexity of completing them.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All requests, changes, and incidents are tracked using the software. It allows the streamline of all IT work within the organization and assignments can be made to anyone within the organization. It allows for a lot of automation with little human intervention, which has been great for streamlining the work among the various departments of the organization. This has also been beneficial in change requests. Several tasks can get generated from a request and the appropriate personnel can be notified of the work they need to complete to close out the task.

  ### 14. Worked but wolefully outdated

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Simple design and layout and easy to admin

UI was dated and felt like it was limited on integrations

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized Service Desk

  ### 15. HelpDesk ticketing and incident management system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

with in this ticketing system, tickets can be easily assigned to other teams or other individual. History of resolutions can be seen with each incident. Screenshots can be attached which makes it easier to understand the issue. Total time spent on the incident is also easily visible on each ticket. Almost a complete service management system

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

It is not user friendly to start with but it becomes easy after couple of trials. Also the fact that almost each click is a new page is little painful sometimes. Reports are little challenging too and we have to use other tools to gather more information about the team performance in managing the incidents.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

There are many other ticketing systems in market today so make sure that CA meets your specific requirement.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User issues with applications and logged in CA service Management. It is easier to look at the issues and inputs from different teams along with any logs and screenshot of the issue.

  ### 16. New PPM developer review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit S. | Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Help put a portfolio of resources, projects, and budgets into a more centralized setup and effectively manage each aspect using scorecards to objectively analyze and compare requirements across the complete portfolio.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

The primary dislike of CA PPM has been the challenge to provide flexible reporting options. Debugging processes with Gel Scripts is a pain. Have to rely on the expertise of 3rd party teams who develop these scripts for development.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Establishing portfolio standards and metrics to help assess portfolio investments against business indicators, including ROI, break even analysis, revenue enhancement, quality improvements and other relevant statistics.

  ### 17. IT Project Management - Financials

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

Easy to manage financials and teams with Clarity.
Like the connection to MSP that allows to import tasks into it.
FTE management is great feature as well.
Easy way to manage project risk and issues and keep a log of them.
Status reporting is great as well. Easy to copy one status report to the other and apply updates to old one.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

Loading at times can be slow. Data export to excel can be messy at times. Also - the time scale can be messed up when looking at the detailed plans.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

It's a great project management application. Takes a bit to get used to. Once you know what to do - it's a very powerful tool.
It's very great tool to manage FTE resources and vendors. At times the system can be slow.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to easily manage financials. I can easily filter by project manager and pull all 30+ of my projects. Being able to see which team members are allocated vs under allocated is easy.

  ### 18. Hopeful for New Functionality

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

CA PPM is an easy way for our department to track our projects. You can easily see the projects timeline and hours to complete. It was very helpful for us when changing our processes as we could easily identify tasks that we needed to streamline.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

The interface is not the most user-friendly. However, we are about to upgrade to the newer version, so hopefully that will help. The biggest annoyance is the inability to easily move an entire project's timeline. Our projects are constantly changing, so our timelines move around a lot. In order to move a timeline, you have to move every single task's timeframe. It is very time consuming.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

I wouldn't recommend for lots of small projects. Works very well for large projects with a large number of tasks.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We look to CA PPM to identify opportunities for process improvement. By looking at reporting, we can identify a task that is bottle-necking the timeline and find ways to fix it.

  ### 22. Quality PPM tool which helps in making stratgeic and informed decisions.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chalukya G. | Client Solution Manager , Retail CPG and Logistics, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

The best part of CA PPM is the ease of use and availability of multiple features or functionalities . Great UI and regular feature updates by CA . It is easy to setup and you do not have to be an experienced user to get going .

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

There is a lag in performance at times due to increase in number of workflows and data. Some of the Portfolio features are not the effective . The applications seems to be unstable at times when the load increases.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

Excellent PPM Tool on a single platform which helps small to mid size companies in making better decisions . It offers a comprehensive project portfolio management capabilities you need to deliver on time and on budget. It is also available on cloud so for first time users this is a very good option to quickly start using and getting familiar with the tool, you do not have to invest much on the setup..

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides good Time sheets, Resource and Project Management features. The insights the dashboards and the reports provide is very intuitive.

  ### 23. CA PPM Clarity - Ok, but can be better

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

I like that it is so customizable inside the program where you can set up all types of filters. This is the best part of Clarity.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

I hate that it does not have alert features that can be customized. I have to rely on another team and what they deem are appropriate alerts. This does not meet my team's requirements.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

Try another tool with alerts built in, and easier to customize reports

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track resource allocations, their costs, hours, and timesheets, and run reports that better help us see where time is being spent.

  ### 24. CA PPM a comprehensive solution for project portfolio management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quintin H. | Projectmanager & Consultant, Food & Beverages, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

The rich content of the solution makes it possible to quickly start and grow your PPM maturity. Next to that it can be nicely integrated within your whole back office (HR, Finance, P2P, ...). It is one of the only PPM tools that has a strong resourcemanagement capability and senario planning options on portfolio level. And when the standard is not sufficient for you, there is the ability to easily add your own configration items (objects, attributes) and for further automation of your PPM implementation there are the processes that enables you to automate your PPM capability to your needs (send notifications, automated reporting, etc.). Another strong capability is cost management which enables you an end 2 end overview of all your cost and budget throughout your portfolios.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

CA PPM is a comprehensive solution that can be overwhelming. And because you can do it all, there is a lot you can do/need to do. So therefor it requires understanding of project portfolio management and cannot be compared with a project scheduling tool or a replacement of excel. Where excel stops CA PPM starts. It currenttly is not strong in programme management, other than the possibility to group and to organise projects in programmes.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

CA PPM is a very comprehensive tool for project portfolio management. It is very complete, so therefor it is important that you understand your own maturity and roadmap before you start implementing CA PPM.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single source of thruth on the overall project portfolio. Clear insights in resource demand and capacity. Support of the annual (!?) budgetting and project initiation process. Clear insights in the overall project cost, spend and forecast. Automation of PPM processes through workflows and thus reducing administration in PPM. Integration of PPM and Finance and securing the purchase to pay process which reduces lead time.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Plastics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

CA can adapt process changes in the organization very easily and effectively and can make rapid growth in terms of customer satisfactions.
CA can be easily customized and very robust in terms of product changes and changes to process all the other ca product is easily integrated and provide one solid solution for the organization.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

ca mobile solution should be enhanced and also the ca service management should look beyond IT Department in long terms.
During upgrade all the customized changes should be Incorporated and all the products should have same look and feel .
ca support should be improved

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

if your organization is looking for quick and effective process implementation which suit your business as well as align with best practices that ca service management is the answer for you.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2018

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

We used clarity for years and as we grew, re-org, etc, customization made it very clunky. We did a huge production reinstall, installing the vanilla version. Worked a while, then got big and clunky again.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

We used clarity for years and as we grew, re-org, etc, customization made it very clunky. We did a huge production reinstall, installing the vanilla version. Worked a while, then got big and clunky again.

  ### 31. CA Service Management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

I like how big the software package is, I enjoy the fact that there is a lot of options. The support has gotten a lot better and have really been more than available for issues that I have. I feel like CA has pivoted to the service management area more, it felt like for the past few years the application was just ignored.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

I dislike the layout sometimes, it looks dated and tired. and the fact the system really doesn't have a mobile platform is annoying. There is a mobile app that is nice and we do use it. I just don't like the fact that it's not scaling. I also think the search feature is a little cumbersome and difficult for users to understand.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

Newest Version of CA looks very promising, it looks really modern and clean. I heard that the new version will be more scalable. CA is becoming more responsive to the needs of the user and owners. I would ask for a demo of X-flow and the newest version of CA Service Management

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident Management; Problem Management; Knowledge Management, Request Management, Service Catalog, Unified Self-Service portal, and IT Process automation. We are also looking to upgrade the version we are running to try to use the analyst interface.

I like that there is a one-stop dashboard. Having everything in one place is great.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

The layout itself is kind of cumbersome and not really aesthetically pleasing. It's a bit dated looking.

**Recommendations to others considering Clarity:**

It does its job well, and it is very easy to make timecard corrections, something that's very important.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep track of my billed hours, easy to track my time off as well as really easy to make corrections.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

It’s not the best tool for budgeting and controlling the schedule.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

CA PPM is cross functional. It can be used in a myriad of industries

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

CA PPM struggles with the fact that it is so huge. It can be difficult for organizations implement without much training.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to help organizations organize their projects and get out of silos. I've been able to help organizations form Enterprise PMOs for better governance and realization of the work they're doing, as well as to strategize for future work.

  ### 35. Great for document storage and financial planning

Being on the cloud helps being able to store lots of large documents

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

I would like more customization available. For example there is only room for one approved for risks issues and changes- it should expand to how many people need especially if a change control board is approving

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using gantry charts, work breakdown structure and being able to integrate mpp, the financial app

  ### 36. CA Service Management- Effective and Efficient tool, with uncomplicated process for your ITSM.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nora O. | Sr. Director, IT Service Management, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2017

**What do you like best about Clarity?**

How easy it is to implement Service Manager out of the box, with minimal effort to train your Service Desk specialists. I've used at least 5 other tool flavors, and the training aspect for those was much more extensive than this, with less retention. CA's tool is much more intuitive and user friendly. They are also planning a new release with heat maps for the analysts, showing them their day's outlook based on the queue size, the day of the week, and other historical analytics. Can't wait.

**What do you dislike about Clarity?**

There is still some lagging in integrating certain products, for example SCCM, which would facilitate a federated CMDB.

**What problems is Clarity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complete incident management platform (including major incident management), request management, problem capture/resolution (reactive and proactive), change management, configuration management, knowledge management and lastly (most recently) Service Catalog for user front-end interface.
