Chattermill Reviews FAQs

Generated using AI

Last updated: Nov 04, 2026

What is Chattermill, and what problem is it built to solve?

Chattermill is a customer experience intelligence platform that brings feedback from sources such as surveys, reviews, support tickets, conversations, and social media together. Its Lyra AI model analyzes that feedback at scale to help businesses understand customer needs and turn them into insights they can act on.

What languages does Chattermill support?

Chattermill supports 16 languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, English, and others.

What company sizes and industries is Chattermill the best fit for?

Chattermill has been used by teams in both mid-market and enterprise organizations, with strong representation in retail, food and beverages, financial services, information technology, and hospitality. The most represented segments include:
  • Company size: Mid-market and enterprise teams are especially well represented.
  • Industries: Retail, food and beverages, financial services, information technology, and hospitality stand out.

How long does it take to implement Chattermill across a team?

Implementation experiences vary, but 1–3 months is the most commonly reported time to go live. Some teams get started in under a month, while others report a 3–6 month rollout.
Time to go live Relative frequency
1–3 months Most common
Under 1 month Also reported
3–6 months Also reported

What customer support options does Chattermill provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Chattermill provides support through chat, email/help desk, FAQs or a forum, and a knowledge base, with 24/7 live-representative support. The support experience is often described as responsive, helpful, and collaborative, particularly when teams need guidance or help resolving issues; complex technical questions can sometimes take longer.

What features or capabilities could make Chattermill even more useful?

Chattermill could be more useful with greater flexibility in reporting and more accurate, context-aware analysis. The recurring improvement requests include:
  • More flexible reporting: Add dashboard and chart customization, easier report building, and more useful export options.
  • More accurate analysis: Improve theme and sentiment detection, especially for nuanced language, sarcasm, mixed feedback, and non-English comments.
  • Stronger prioritization and alerts: Help teams assess issue impact and surface emerging changes without relying solely on manual exploration.
  • Smoother workflows: Make it easier to navigate, find specific feedback, and share or connect insights with other tools.

How useful do Chattermill users find its AI features in everyday use?

Chattermill’s AI is useful for making large volumes of customer feedback quicker to scan and understand, though its summaries and classifications can still need human review. Users describe applying it to tasks such as:
  • Summaries: Condense feedback into key points for a quick overview or to share with stakeholders.
  • Sentiment analysis: Identify customer sentiment and shifts in how customers feel.
  • Theme and topic analysis: Group comments into recurring subjects to help surface trends and pain points.
These tools can save time and help teams focus their investigation, but accuracy may vary when feedback is ambiguous, nuanced, or expressed in another language.

"Chattermill makes it easier to review consumer feedback!"
4/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

What I like about using Chattermill is the ability to automatically categorise feedback by user, team, and site, which makes it easy to pinpoint exactly where issues or successes are occurring within the business. This helps us understand patterns across different points of contact and allows each team to focus on what’s relevant to them. The platform makes it much more efficient to identify trends and ultimately deliver a better customer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

The interface can sometimes feel unintuitive, especially when trying to filter or drill down into specific feedback segments. It takes a few more clicks than necessary to get to the insights I need, which can slow down analysis in a time-limited crunch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly impressive customer sentiment platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

As Product Analyst at HelloFresh for the past six months, I’ve been really impressed with how we process customer feedback through chattermill. Its ability to analyze and categorize unstructured feedback is incredibly helpful and impressive. Its theming and sentiment analysis help us quickly aggregate and synthesize large amounts of feedback (in several languages). More specifically, Chattermill has helped us: - Identify drivers of dissatisfaction regarding recipes or ingredients, allowing us to make targeted improvements. - Monitor the impact of our product changes by tracking customer sentiment and feedback. - Understand customer preferences per segments (eg: loyalty) to better tailor our service. The insights from Chattermill have led to real product enhancements and a more customer-focused product development process. The platform is also very user-friendly, and the support from Chattermill has been very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

Some sentiment in local languages are sometimes mis-interpreted. I also heard integration and maintenance was the simplest but I don't have first hand experience in this regard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Insightful, engaging and improved performance."
5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

Chattermill is an :sparkles:amazing:sparkles: tool that uses artificial intelligence  to automatically analyse CHI and Trustpilot feedback from our customers to gauge how they feel about specific topics.

It'll reveal super valuable insights and provide in depth answers to questions like:

"why are my teams' customers talking about billing 30% more negatively than other teams this week?"

"Are customers happier with abc since we introduced xyz?", etc, etc, etc...

It really allowed me to reward and celebrate my team whilst also understanding the sentiment of our customer base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

I found it challenging at times to rely on filtered themes as this didn't always align with the customer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
