Chattermill Reviews FAQs

Generated using AI

Last updated: Nov 04, 2026

What is Chattermill, and what problem is it built to solve?

Chattermill is a customer experience intelligence platform that brings feedback from sources such as surveys, reviews, support tickets, conversations, and social media together. Its Lyra AI model analyzes that feedback at scale to help businesses understand customer needs and turn them into insights they can act on.

What languages does Chattermill support?

Chattermill supports 16 languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, English, and others.

What company sizes and industries is Chattermill the best fit for?

Chattermill has been used by teams in both mid-market and enterprise organizations, with strong representation in retail, food and beverages, financial services, information technology, and hospitality. The most represented segments include:
  • Company size: Mid-market and enterprise teams are especially well represented.
  • Industries: Retail, food and beverages, financial services, information technology, and hospitality stand out.

How long does it take to implement Chattermill across a team?

Implementation experiences vary, but 1–3 months is the most commonly reported time to go live. Some teams get started in under a month, while others report a 3–6 month rollout.
Time to go live Relative frequency
1–3 months Most common
Under 1 month Also reported
3–6 months Also reported

What customer support options does Chattermill provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Chattermill provides support through chat, email/help desk, FAQs or a forum, and a knowledge base, with 24/7 live-representative support. The support experience is often described as responsive, helpful, and collaborative, particularly when teams need guidance or help resolving issues; complex technical questions can sometimes take longer.

What features or capabilities could make Chattermill even more useful?

Chattermill could be more useful with greater flexibility in reporting and more accurate, context-aware analysis. The recurring improvement requests include:
  • More flexible reporting: Add dashboard and chart customization, easier report building, and more useful export options.
  • More accurate analysis: Improve theme and sentiment detection, especially for nuanced language, sarcasm, mixed feedback, and non-English comments.
  • Stronger prioritization and alerts: Help teams assess issue impact and surface emerging changes without relying solely on manual exploration.
  • Smoother workflows: Make it easier to navigate, find specific feedback, and share or connect insights with other tools.

How useful do Chattermill users find its AI features in everyday use?

Chattermill’s AI is useful for making large volumes of customer feedback quicker to scan and understand, though its summaries and classifications can still need human review. Users describe applying it to tasks such as:
  • Summaries: Condense feedback into key points for a quick overview or to share with stakeholders.
  • Sentiment analysis: Identify customer sentiment and shifts in how customers feel.
  • Theme and topic analysis: Group comments into recurring subjects to help surface trends and pain points.
These tools can save time and help teams focus their investigation, but accuracy may vary when feedback is ambiguous, nuanced, or expressed in another language.

"Chattermill blends data and analytics with easy to digest views and a smooth UX experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

Data extraction, as well as being able to filter with tools such as themes and phrases for specific categories. On the recent features, new AI capabilities are enabling teams to save a lot of time on summarizing customer trends and feedback, while the soon to be released Copilot feature adds Chat-GPT like elements to the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

Lack of report personalisation can sometimes be an issue: even though the tool is easy to use and does report fast, periodically, when you want to modify some aspects of the preestablished graphs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No-nonsense customer feedback insights"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

Chattermill makes it super easy to gather feedback everywhere, take my unstructured data and actually make sense of it. Sentiment analysis is one of the coolest features and I've been using whenever I need to have a general sense of our customer feedback Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

Learning curve is a bit high, so understanding all data might take some time. Some contextual help would be very helpful (maybe tutorials or suggestions). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Chattermill centralizes varied feedback sources for your utmost convenience!"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

Chattermill is most useful in its automated reporting features, Slack integration, the ability to create your own tags/themes, and quantitative "listening" of omnichannel feedback sources. Together, you can start a VoC program with little effort - generating timely reports for stakeholders and surfacing "bugs" in your product experience through the Slack integration so that the right parties can further investigate/resolve points of feedback as they're submitted. In general, Chattermill fills a key service gap for our company by allowing us to harness all of our different feedback sources in one platform. It helps us "quantitatively size" the prevalence of each pain point, which then gives us an idea of how to prioritize solutions to these issues based on frequency and severity. It also then allows us to check over time whether those pain points are abating, after administering solutions such as improved customer support or product improvements. Without such a tool, we'd spend much more time in manual data entry and feedback review, likely neglecting our lesser-known data sources like app reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

Chattermill is a worthwhile tool, but can be better improved through: more sensitive AI summaries, accuracy of sentiment analysis, and multi-language translation. While I appreciate that Chattermill has these capabilities, they can be fine-tuned. For example, there can be redundant themes that require you to manually resolve them - such as separate themes for "discounts" and "promotions" despite them being the same topic. Due to the accuracy of the translations and AI, any Chattermill insights still require careful human review, to ensure the right takeaway is being extracted from the data. "Very useful tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

Chattermill has made a huge difference in how I understand customer feedback. Instead of spending hours digging through responses, I get clear insights in one place—fast and easy.

The AI does a great job picking up on trends and sentiment I might have missed, and the dashboard is intuitive. It’s helped me make more informed, customer-focused decisions without the guesswork.

I Definitely recommend to anyone looking to truly listen to their customers at scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

It took me more time to categorize the data but once you frequently use it, it s excellent Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and comprehensive"
4/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

It is very user-friendly, and it allows you to get an overview of sentiment. We are able to see pain points and our strengths in few short steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

It would be nice to have a sort of AI agent/assistant that can also help guide and troubleshoot. It is easy to formulate what type of data we want to see but not always clear how to get there, if there was an AI feature that can interpret the Results we want to see and guide through the steps on how to get there based on the specificities of our set up. "A useful tool but lacks intelligence and depth"
3/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

Great to be able to see the customer feedback come in, and it’s super easy to query and build reports Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

It seems to lack a lot of out of the box intelligence. I would love for it to be able to look at other data points such as CVR from Big Query and be able to tie sentiment to other metrics. It would also be cool if we could have more AI out of the box, and to have alerts and warnings in place when sentiment begins to turn! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
