Chattermill Reviews FAQs

Generated using AI

Last updated: Nov 04, 2026

What is Chattermill, and what problem is it built to solve?

Chattermill is a customer experience intelligence platform that brings feedback from sources such as surveys, reviews, support tickets, conversations, and social media together. Its Lyra AI model analyzes that feedback at scale to help businesses understand customer needs and turn them into insights they can act on.

What languages does Chattermill support?

Chattermill supports 16 languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, English, and others.

What company sizes and industries is Chattermill the best fit for?

Chattermill has been used by teams in both mid-market and enterprise organizations, with strong representation in retail, food and beverages, financial services, information technology, and hospitality. The most represented segments include:
  • Company size: Mid-market and enterprise teams are especially well represented.
  • Industries: Retail, food and beverages, financial services, information technology, and hospitality stand out.

How long does it take to implement Chattermill across a team?

Implementation experiences vary, but 1–3 months is the most commonly reported time to go live. Some teams get started in under a month, while others report a 3–6 month rollout.
Time to go live Relative frequency
1–3 months Most common
Under 1 month Also reported
3–6 months Also reported

What customer support options does Chattermill provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Chattermill provides support through chat, email/help desk, FAQs or a forum, and a knowledge base, with 24/7 live-representative support. The support experience is often described as responsive, helpful, and collaborative, particularly when teams need guidance or help resolving issues; complex technical questions can sometimes take longer.

What features or capabilities could make Chattermill even more useful?

Chattermill could be more useful with greater flexibility in reporting and more accurate, context-aware analysis. The recurring improvement requests include:
  • More flexible reporting: Add dashboard and chart customization, easier report building, and more useful export options.
  • More accurate analysis: Improve theme and sentiment detection, especially for nuanced language, sarcasm, mixed feedback, and non-English comments.
  • Stronger prioritization and alerts: Help teams assess issue impact and surface emerging changes without relying solely on manual exploration.
  • Smoother workflows: Make it easier to navigate, find specific feedback, and share or connect insights with other tools.

How useful do Chattermill users find its AI features in everyday use?

Chattermill’s AI is useful for making large volumes of customer feedback quicker to scan and understand, though its summaries and classifications can still need human review. Users describe applying it to tasks such as:
  • Summaries: Condense feedback into key points for a quick overview or to share with stakeholders.
  • Sentiment analysis: Identify customer sentiment and shifts in how customers feel.
  • Theme and topic analysis: Group comments into recurring subjects to help surface trends and pain points.
These tools can save time and help teams focus their investigation, but accuracy may vary when feedback is ambiguous, nuanced, or expressed in another language.

"Getting closer to customers worldwide"
4/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

As a Product Manager of a global product available in more than 10 markets and 3 continents, it's sometimes challenging to get close to customers to hear their feedback. Chattermill makes this easy by aggregating different feedback sources. Its analysis engine allows to capture key user sentiments by aggregating user comments with good accuracy. The ease of use of the interface makes it particularly intuitive to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

The interface could help more the job-to-be-done of users such as Product Managers and tech teams related to the investigation of issues encountered by users of an app/website. As a user once I have identified patterns (set of comments) that I believe need to be investigated, I will need to bring key information back into the development flow so that the analysis can continue (i.e. Jira ticket, sharing with tech team etc.) At the moment this requires a series of manual copy/paste and is a tedious process. "Great tool for understanding your customer base"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

I would highlight a few things:

1. Chattermill effectively enables complex NLP categorization of text data at various levels of granularity

2. The native Chattermill dashboard interface allows non-technical users to dig deeper into customer feedback data.

3. The Chattermill team is always incredibly helpful and willing to let us weigh in on how to make their product better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

I think there is an opportunity for Chattermill to work further on connecting business data to customer feedback data, as currently we use Chattermill to understand customer feedback in a vacuum Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"New to Chattermill"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

My initial perception of AI summaries at the theme / tag level was happily changed, though the qualitative summaries provided. I felt like they would be too broad to have relevance, though am surprised. It seems well integrated into our ecosystem, and the tools to evolve that integration are clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

So far, I do struggle with the inability to use the tool in a sandbox format. I would love to be able to create private themes, dashboards, reports, that are available only to me until I decide to share with surrounding teams. It's possible that our integration is quite restricted on user ability, though I wonder if this could be negated by a clear environment where all users can explore freely without breaking production level structures. "Chattermill's AI insights increase efficiency in App Store Review Analysis"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Chattermill?

The ability to collate and analyse multiple data points across many of our apps and markets simultaneously is super great. I also really love the AI insights which save me heaps of time in collecting data to share with stakeholders. Chattermill is also really easy to use, and we have onboarded many of our colleagues from various functions to self service themselves when it comes to CX data, so again saving us a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chattermill?

Sometimes the automated workflows can be a bit buggy, but this is usually fixed quickly and is really a minor flaw. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
