**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

We have had CERVIS  since 2000. They gave us 2 hours of personal one to one training when we first started. The training was fantastic! When we had to integrate our current data to CERVIS, is was very easy!

I love how much time it saves me. I used to spend 2 days a month doing statistics (mostly volunteer hours) and now it takes me less than 30 minutes! I checked out the competitors and there was no comparison! It is easy to learn.  The customer support is AWESOME, and I use it quite often.  The Helpdesk generally gets back to me within an hour or so.  

I use CERVIS every day, several times a day. We have about 200 volunteers, except in the summer when we have a teen program that adds another 100 volunteers.  I cannot imagine doing my job without CERVIS!

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

There is really nothing I dislike. But there is one thing I have trouble understanding: GROUPS.  I would like it if my staff with CERVIS access could see the information about their volunteers who are in the SERVICE projects without having to put those people in groups.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are so many I could not begin to list them. I can find out things like which volunteers don't want their pictures taken, which volunteers have not been entering their hours,what the volunteers are interested in, and so much more!  It makes everything I do easier and efficient.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

It's completely customizable, easy to set up, maintain and use, and allows volunteers to engage more deeply. It allows us to communicate with larger groups of people and enables new volunteers to sign up for opportunities independently. We searched for other platforms for years until we found Cervis. I would not use anything else.

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

The only thing I don't like about Cervis is that because we have lots of opportunities listed each day, I do a lot of scrolling to find what I need to view and access on the monthly view. I love the visual that it provides, but I would like to be able to view it by week instead of the entire month just because we have at least 35 opportunities to show each day. I really can't think of anything else that I don't like. Cervis is what you make it; the support does a great job of answering questions when we need help.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we had CERVIS, we organized our route coordination on huge calendars or on paper. This was a nightmare to maintain and very time consuming. When we started with CERVIS, we immediately had everything easy to organize online and all our staff could see what volunteers were scheduled (or what needs we had) at the same time. It also allowed me to schedule people remotely, and since I have volunteers or potential volunteers contact me at all hours of the day, this helped to be able to instantly see what needs we have and change it real time. CERVIS also helped us communicate with large groups of volunteers at a time, and although this is still a challenge with generational preferences, it is certainly easier now than it has ever been. Another huge benefit of CERVIS is that is has broadened our volunteer base quickly and with a younger generation who may be more seasonal or single serve volunteers. We are the only Meals On Wheels program in the upstate of South Carolina to offer the option of signing up to be a volunteer and signing up for a volunteering opportunity online. Just this year, for the first time in the history of our program, we are tracking volunteer hours. For many years, if we needed to give that information for grant writing purposes, we would simply estimate. With the more accurate tracking, we can see now that we were probably underestimating volunteer hours for all those years. CERVIS makes my job much easier, and as a volunteer coordinator of a meal program with over 700 active volunteers, that makes this program extremely important to our organization!

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

Quick and easy way to recruit volunteers for our organization. When we have last minute changes to the schedule for our needs it also helps us to communicate quickly and effectively with our volunteers!

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

I wish I could customize my dashboard more as our organization does not utilize a fraction of the features and it can appear too cluttered and visually chaotic.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us recruit and maintain our volunteers. Whether it is a one time event or an ongoing scheduled activity that our organization needs help with.  It also helps to coordinate volunteers at multiple sites agency wide.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

CERVIS is super easy to use for administrators and volunteers. Our volunteers have been very happy with this platform since we moved over to it in 2022. Support has been extremely responsive and helpful, especially when we were first onboarding with CERVIS.

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

Not much, but there are a couple bits of functionality that would work better for us if they were more customizable. There is a way to make suggestions for future development so we're hoping those changes will be addressed.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great easy way for volunteers to sign up for opportunities and for us to manage events and schedules. This is much less laborious than our prior custom management tools.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

We were able to integrate with very little issues.  In addition, the Support portion of CERVIS is quick to respond and is willing to review suggestions.  We've had a few of our suggestions used by CERVIS.

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

It would be nice to add notes to Reservations, not just to the Groups.  We have submitted a request and feel it will be handled in upcoming updates.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to reach, track and report more efficiently.  This is enabling us to have a faster response to our own needs.

It's so easy to use that both our elderly and teenaged volunteers can create an account and register with ease.

There are specific little things I don't like, but they seem to anticipate the problems and fix them quickly.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

Hands down, the CERVIS team provides some of the best customer service that I have experienced professionally. They are always quick to respond to our questions, even during non-standard hours. They are also continually improving the product with monthly updates, and listen to customer feature requests. The software provides us with many levels of customization in our volunteer application and reports - this was a very important factor for our organization. The software is also very affordable and feature-rich compared to other solutions.

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

The structure of CERVIS is not inherently school-based, so we have had to be creative in setting up our processes compared to other solutions. But CERVIS is also significantly less costly than other solutions.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CERVIS helps us better manage our school volunteers using an online application, background check management, event set up, communication, reporting and more. They offer strong security, email delivery, and customization options at a lower cost compared to previously used solutions.

I like that it allows for many different opportunities as we are a diverse/broad organization that has a range of needs.

Sometimes there are barriers due to us having both individual and group opportunities for the same service project or time slot events. (i.e. background checks required for individuals but not for groups)

CERVIS allows us to have a strategic system for our volunteers to sign up ahead of time for events as well as allows us to easily track volunteers who are actively engaging or not engaging.

I like that it stays the same cost each year, which makes budgeting easy. It has a lot of features, and they are always improving and updating them. It allows the volunteers to be empowered to use the system too.

Some things aren't always intuitive or can't be fully customized, so we need to be creative in finding workarounds for them.

It allows us to easily track all of our volunteer data in one place, and easily pull information and reports for funders, leadership and others.

I wish we could incorporate our own Background process into the system. We have specific requirements that the current integrated service does not cover.

ability to communicate clearer to volunteers with email AND text. Able to thank them after.  In this Covid time, we make changes and I thought it was easy to put in maps and other important information into the confirmation email. We received great responses from volunteers. EASY and reliable interface with Salesforce.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

Amazing customer service, flat pricing. They are always so quick with help tickets and we have had some custom features added to our software for minimal fees. I love that I can have as many leadership members as I need (staff that manage their volunteers) and block off the rest of the agency / the configuration ability from them. Really great comprehensive software. Any updated features are pushed to all users with updates, and pricing doesn't ever go up. 

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

Some features lacking, and some staff complaints about ease of use. I find it very user friendly after training.

Comprehensive Volunteer management for our nonprofit with over 2,500 volunteers/year serving 50k+ hours.

It’s basic. It doesn’t have a whole lot of flash so that gets the job done.

Probably the same thing. It’s basic and gets it done but it’s too basic. Not as good as icontacts or something like that.

If you just need a contact list and easy send outs, look for something that can do more.

It’s super easy to send out messages to your database and have people check in. Makes for sign ups taking less time.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

The staff of CERVIS Technologies' Customer Service team has always been incredible to us.  From the time we started shopping for a new Volunteer Management Software System through implementing the new system they have always been right by our side willing and able to coach us along.  

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

We are slightly limited on how much we can customize the graphics.  But, we created landing pages with links to skirt around that issue.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to schedule volunteers online which allows busy students and/or families the ability to get access to our schedule 24/7.  We have also automated the check in process which has sped up our check in process and improved the accuracy of our tracking systems tremendously.

I like how easy it is to import/export data, and that my volunteers can sign themselves up for most activities.

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

It isn't easy for volunteers to sign up groups of people. It either needs to be done on the back-end by me, or they need to individually register every volunteer.

**Recommendations to others considering CERVIS:**

Be prepared to deal with volunteers who do not want to change from a paper log to online. It is difficult with older volunteers who are not adept in software.

CERVIS is making it much easier for us to manage our volunteers. As a non-profit, we have limited resources, and CERVIS is a cost-effective way to help cut down on tracking volunteer hours and signing people up for events.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

CERVIS is a great all-in-one program allowing volunteer managers the ability to monitor and track volunteers in one program.  It also allows you to email and attach documents.  The customer service support team is one of the best I have ever worked with.  They are prompt, patient and very detailed.  

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

Our program runs a bit different than most and because of this, I needed to create our program backwards, which was challenging but doable.  Their support team was amazing in helping me to make this work for our program.  I can only assume they would help others to adapt to make it work for you.   Once it is was done, it has been seamless.  

I wish we could attach all of our documents without running out of space.  

**Recommendations to others considering CERVIS:**

Be patient when first installing for your group.  The support team is amazing and truly helped me to configure to our needs.  The sales team is about getting their foot in the door, but the program itself and support team will keep you.  

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They solved our ability to assign volunteers to multiple locations and divisions across our business network.  Their email templates saved us a lot of retyping same information over and over.  The ease of reporting hours has helped our different locations report hours quicker and faster and eliminate the need for paper reporting.  The ease of moving volunteers around and ease of assigning.  So many benefits realized to list them all.

I like that the system handles multiple projects per volunteer.

The actions that are associated with each volunteer could be grouped/buttoned at the top, not repeated on every record.

It is easy to use.

The time tracking on volunteer projects allows us to calculate how many staff hours were saved, and associated cost savings. With such a large volunteer force, this is substantial. 

The system also allows us to easily communicate with volunteers from specific projects, and makes the time tracking process much quicker and the data much more accessible.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

It is easy to communicate with volunteers through CERVIS and helps us keep accurate, clean data on our volunteer program.  The ability to upload a picture to each volunteer profile really helps with larger programs like ours (2,000+ volunteers).  The events feature makes it easy to set up large scale events with several shifts.  The email feature makes it easy to contact volunteers by groups.  I have used other database management systems in the past and this one is by far the best.  It is very intuitive and easy to use.  The customer service function is exceptional.  Never had to wait more than a few hours to get a question resolved.

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

There is no save option when you are creating events with lots of shifts.  We found a way around it, but not without learning the hard way.  That is the only thing I dislike about CERVIS.  

**Recommendations to others considering CERVIS:**

CERVIS is a great volunteer management tool.  We would not be able to run our program without it.   We currently manage over 2000 volunteers, and CERVIS helps make it easy.  We can assign job shifts through the events feature, which helps us to record volunteer hours and makes it easy to contact participants in the event of a cancellation.

Keeping clean, accurate volunteer data.  It helps us record hours and formulate reports with ease.

**What do you like best about CERVIS?**

Cervis has great customer service and is an affordable tool in helping non-profit's manage a large volume of volunteers for events. For example, when I worked at Salvation Army, I solely managed around 600 volunteers during our busiest time, the holiday season. There were so many events from the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday meal services at two shelters, the bell ringers at 40+ prime locations, the volunteer support needed with gift collection at malls and distribution at the warehouse during the Angel Tree program. All this coordination and management would not been a success without the help from Cervis. You can print volunteer sign-in sheets for the events, print volunteer schedules for the program directors, as well as event volunteer participation reports. Imagine trying to do all that work that includes training volunteers, taking volunteer registration over the phone and tracking their schedules using a spreadsheet. I highly recommend this product for non-profits.

I honestly don't have any complaints about the product.

**What problems is CERVIS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining the volunteer management process and maximizing the time you can actually spend at events and building relationships with volunteers. Volunteers seem to enjoy the online service as well.

The advanced technology allows the food bank to be viewed as a progressing in the technology world and also streamlines the process of volunteer sign-in and retention. 

**What do you dislike about CERVIS?**

I do not have enough experience using the technology, however, I would imagine that those who are not tech-savvy or not as comfortable with touch screens may have more difficulties using CERVIS.

Easy set-up and implementation!
