Canvs AI is easy to use and delivers text analytics solutions that meet many of our needs as a media company. Canvs TV provides us with near real-time insights on how audiences on social perceived our family of TV & Streaming brands, content, characters, and talent, all with helpful contextualization against the rest of the industry. Canvs AI and campaigns functionalities give us the flexibility to bring our own data to the platform to add necessary structure to our campaign analysis and ad-hoc text analytics needs. Canvs AI could benefit from some data diversification on the TV & Streaming side (bring in sources like Reddit, Reviews, Forums) and broaden coverage to include genres like Sports. This is a limitation they address through their bring your own data solution and it is noteworthy that the Canvs team is very transparent about their capabilities and makes significant effort to address client's unmet needs. Handling open-ended survey responses has always been a bit of a headache, whether we did it ourselves or outsourced it, both taking up time or budget. With Canvs, we get quick insights, all organized and easy to filter. It connects easily with popular survey platforms which is a plus. I especially like the AI Story Assist feature that helps summarize the data into insights or answer specific queries – really handy. It’s also pretty straightforward to start using, and whenever we’ve hit a snag, their support team has been on the ball and very helpful. No tool will do everything a human can but this tool does what has historically been a very complicated human task into something super easy. As an AI tool, it has a very clean and modern UX that allows just about any to jump in, use it to generate automated insights, and then fine tune it.

I love that this tool keeps iterating and trying to push the scope of what insights they can provide. Ever since the introduction of its AI capabilities, Canvs has become my go-to solution for analysing unstructured data such as text from open-ended responses. It literally saves me days of reading and sifting through responses and having to code them more or less manually. It's also paramount for me not to allow my attentional bias to steer analysis, as Canvs still supports its summaries with the quantification of codes and networks—. Canvs is definitely a must-have for all researchers who want to spend more time on generating insights than on the operational errands of cleaning, organising, and structuring data. Its language capabilities are still limited, as, even with the ability to translate non-English responses, the limit for these translations is very low—plus, working in the original language will always be more truthful to respondents' intentions than any translation, regardless of how good they might be. I would also like for it to have a more intuitive way of exporting the results, especially when it comes to seeing tables with codes' and networks' percentages. Canvs AI has significantly improved its ability to automatically code open ends and categorize them in buckets/themes. It saves users much more time than coding the open ends manually. Its AI story feature is also super useful as it gives you a very detailed rundown about what customers per coded theme/bucket or for the entire data set of open ends. I like how easy it is to use. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of analyzing a large amount of data. It also lets you analyze a lot of data in a short amount of time.

The AI Summarize tool is excellent. The ability to quickly pull out some data insights from a large text heavy data set is excellent. The insights were spot on and the wording was actionable and impactful. Uploading data is easy and intuitive. Setting up your data for processing and analysis is also simple. Mining the data for specific insights felt clunky. Comparing groups and variations between cohorts or groups was clunky and left me feeling like I wanted to be able to mine the data for deeper insights. Cleaning up the buckets and groups and filters was confusing. Being able to cluster my data along specific logic wasn't difficult but I wasn't necessarily sure how to best leverage the tool once I had done this. The CANVS tool is so easy to use to provides relevant and detailed analysis of any number of open ended responses. As a Voice of Customer team we receive thousands of pieces of feedback from a number of different sources and CANVS has helped us to decrease the amount of manual analysis needed so we can provide even more support for our partners.
