The flow of information is clear, with links that connect smoothly to each area.

**What do you dislike about Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM?**

At present, there are no areas I dislike.

**What problems is Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were working with multiple spread sheets holding data meant data was not always aligned or accurately updated. No clear critical path or workflow meant there was risk to lead times. Multiple comments on emails allowed for confusion and information being missed or misunderstood.

With Bombiix continuity of data is a real strength, because it prevents information from being duplicated across different areas and helps reduce the risk of inconsistencies. Each department enters the data that’s relevant to them, and the system then pulls it together to build the DPP and PIM. It also supports the critical path by making it clear when tasks need to be completed, so we can spend more time focusing on exceptions and do a better job of mitigating risk.

Having the clarity has meant we can reduce our leads times, improving performance on deliveries and in turn allowing more focused buying at the right time to be reactive and reduce cost by maximizing the volume bought.

Being able to transfer the data to our ERP system ensured there was no error in information between the 2 systems.

**What do you like best about Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM?**

The most helpful element of Bombiix is how flexible the software has been to gear towards the way we do things. The biggest upside has been an organisational point of focus for the product life management of our product ranges.

**What do you dislike about Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM?**

As yet we have not explored the further features such as DPP, PIM and DAM - it is not quite clear how these could benefit us or how we could use them. The biggest downside of Bombiix is the somewhat clunky nature of the software. We see this as an allowable weakness since the tailoring of the programme has given the flexibility we need to run the business the way we want.

**What problems is Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Bombiix has helped us to solve is to pull together several fragmented systems within our business into a single source of truth. We hope that further along the time horizon it will also help us to manage the transition to DPP. This has benefited our business in terms of streamlining workflows, minimising communications and reducing human error.

**What do you like best about Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM?**

The system is easy and intuitive the use. In comparison to some of the other PLM systems we researched, the functionalities at Bombiix feel refined to what you actually need. It’s clear the systems have been designed by people who have used over complicated PLM systems themselves and bombiix is the solution to that. The team is open to feedback and works closely with you.

Nothing. There are a lot of different PLM systems out there, but when researching and comparing options, Bombiix was a clear favourite. The system is clear and concise to use, the team are knowledgeable and great to work with, and the price felt very good for the scope of functionality you get.

**What problems is Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It serves as a central source of information for teams across the business, and also when communicating with external suppliers. It’s a tool that helps ensure all teams can work as efficiently as possible, with ease, and that their day-to-day productivity isn’t limited by admin tasks.

**What do you like best about Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM?**

We started using Bombyx PLM several years ago, and compared to other systems out there, this software is hands down the best PLM out there.

I think it’s really important for this review to say that three years ago the company execs tried to move away from Bombyx and the employees staged a literal MUTINY over the proposed new system during implementation, which got the whole project cancelled as NOTHING works the way Bombyx does and once you start using this PLM everything else will just seem like some bad, MS DOS fueled fever dream. The design team had used multiple different PLM systems before finding Bombyx and when we saw the demo it was like, finally! someone gets it. Bombyx works. It’s easy to use and it means one person can be extremely efficient - we even had custom work done as the way we work is very specific to our company, and the changes that we implemented into the program helped us keep the team really small and maximize the workflow. If ever we had questions or an issue - support was extremely responsive, we were able to jump on a call with someone who helped us get our problem resolved FAST. 

Bombyx is also extremely nice looking, which is weird to say but the other PLMs out there are not nice to use and mostly filled with awkward UX, redundant menus and processes that make no sense at all but when you try to change anything you get a standard response of “that’s the way the system works” - and as I mentioned, it has the feel of windows 97 when you’re working in an industry that prides itself on making beautiful things. It makes you feel like the people who designed the OTHER PLMs have never made a tech pack in their lives because the set ups and work flow don’t make sense with what you’re trying to do, whereas Bombyx is created by someone from the industry. When we heard the story of Bombyx and took a tour of the system we immediately felt that FINALLY there was a software that would help us get our jobs done. 
 
I cannot say enough good things about this PLM and the team at Bombyx.


(A little backstory is that three years ago the company underwent a huge growth and we needed a new ERP system. Shiny new ERP comes with a highly talked-up PLM that was already fully integrated. A year in,  and neither that ERP nor the PLM survived a failed implementation. Luckily we never moved away from Bombyx during that time. HOWEVER when the next ERP solution came along, they also had a fully integrated PLM, and this time Execs switched us over. Team is absolutely miserable without Bombyx, and would prefer using excel spreadsheets over whatever system we have now).

**What do you dislike about Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM?**

There is nothing I don't like about this PLM.

**What problems is Bombiix PLM, DPPs, PIM and DAM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small team and want to stay that way. Bombyx made it easy for a small team to work very efficiently and get a lot done, VERY EASILY. 

The way we work is extremely specific to our niche and requires a lot of customization - Bombyx fully supported us in this. (currently not so supported...see above)

We wanted piece of mind knowing that should we have any issues at all, help (a real person, no ai or help desk/tickets) - didn't realized how important this was until it was gone.
