What do you like best about Basware?

What I value most about Basware is its ability to bring together all aspects of the procure-to-pay process into a single, efficient platform. Rather than one specific feature standing out, it's the combination of usability, integration capabilities, automation, and intelligence that delivers the greatest value.

From a UI/UX perspective, the platform is intuitive and easy to navigate for both occasional and power users. Tasks such as invoice review, matching, approvals, and exception handling are streamlined, helping teams process transactions quickly with minimal training.

The integration capabilities are one of Basware's strongest assets. Its ability to connect with ERP systems such as SAP and other enterprise applications enables seamless data flow across procurement, invoicing, and finance processes. This significantly reduces manual data entry, improves data consistency, and supports end-to-end automation.

In terms of performance, Basware handles high transaction volumes reliably while providing real-time visibility into invoice and procurement workflows. Automated matching, routing, and exception management help accelerate processing times and reduce operational bottlenecks.

What do you dislike about Basware?

While Basware is a powerful and comprehensive platform, there are a few areas where the user experience could be improved. The biggest challenge is that some advanced configurations and troubleshooting activities require specialized knowledge, which can create a learning curve for new administrators and support teams.

Overall, my concerns are relatively minor compared to the value the platform provides. Most limitations are related to complexity and configuration rather than functionality, and they are common challenges for enterprise-grade procure-to-pay solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Basware, I often faced challenges common to many finance organizations: their manual invoice processing, fragmented approval workflows, limited visibility into invoice status, and the complexity of integrating procurement and accounts payable processes across multiple systems. These issues led to longer processing times, increased administrative effort, and a higher risk of errors for both customers and configurators.

Basware has significantly improved this by automating the entire procure-to-pay lifecycle. Invoices are captured, validated, matched, routed, and approved through a centralized platform, eliminating much of the manual work previously required. What once took days of email exchanges and follow-ups can now be managed through automated workflows with full visibility into every processing stage.

One of the biggest benefits has been integration with ERP platforms and other business systems, allowing data to flow seamlessly between procurement, accounts payable, and finance teams. This has reduced duplicate data entry, improved data accuracy, and created a more reliable end-to-end process.

From a performance and ROI perspective, automation has helped accelerate invoice processing, reduce exceptions, improve first-pass matching rates, and free finance teams to focus on higher-value activities rather than administrative tasks. "Seamless AP Automation with Intelligent Features"

What do you like best about Basware?

I like Basware's seamless integration with SAP, including SAP S4HANA, which lets multiple SAP instances connect easily. The intuitive user interface makes it simple for new team members to start using accounts payable with minimal training. I also appreciate the smart coding feature for non-PO invoices, using AI to automatically code things like GL accounts and cost centers, which reduces accounts payable touch points. The smart matching feature effectively handles three-way matchings for various types of purchase orders. Additionally, the standard SAP connectors made the initial setup very easy, reducing IT involvement and allowing the finance team to drive the project. What do you dislike about Basware?

Right now, there's nothing specific. However, there's an area where Basware can improve, which is the non-PO coding, specifically for multiline invoices. While it's currently in development, automating the coding for multiline invoices would be beneficial for us and other customers. "Strong P2P Invoice Workflow and Workday Integration, with Occasional Support Delays"

What do you like best about Basware?

On average, we process about 30,000 invoices per month, so we need a workflow that’s organized and managed in a single system. The P2P interface clearly displays the invoice workflow and routes each item to the next step in the process. It integrates with Workday, and we’ve also used Basware with other ERP solutions in the past.

The UI handles our volume well, and we rarely run into performance issues. Occasionally, invoices take longer to process than expected, but that isn’t typical. Overall, the system is competitively priced compared with similar AI, enterprise-scale invoice processing platforms, and support has been cooperative. What do you dislike about Basware?

"Reliable Support, Easy Integration"

What do you like best about Basware?

I really appreciate Basware's quick help and clear instructions. The tool 'BaswareOne' is easy to use, and I can access it to easily review invoice delivery statuses. It's very convenient because Basware is reachable 24/7 via their ticketing system, which is straightforward to use. The communication from the Basware team has been clear, especially during the development stage, and they've provided detailed guidance on what needs to be done for UAT, which is really helpful. What do you dislike about Basware?

I'm not sure who is the KAM on Basware side for our company and sometimes I'm sending direct emails blind without receiving a response or waiting very long for it. It would be great to get the information if there is a direct KAM we can reach out to or if we always need to use the ticketing tool or contact form online. What do you like best about Basware?

I use Basware to simplify invoice processing and supplier payment tracking. What I like most about Basware is its automation. As a manager, I work in Basware regularly to reference, verify, and approve invoices, and it has been a solid, dependable tool in our Accounts Payable process. One of the biggest benefits is the visibility it provides. Being able to quickly see invoice status, supporting documentation, and approval history makes it much easier to verify accuracy and keep things moving without unnecessary back-and-forth. The search functionality can be a bit challenging at times. Having to use all capital letters for certain searches isn’t very intuitive and can be frustrating, especially for users who are in the system frequently and need to move quickly. What do you like best about Basware?

I use Basware for purchase to pay and e-invoicing, and I find it excellent for digitizing invoice workflows and providing spend visibility. It effectively handles electronic invoices and matches them to POs/receipts automatically. By digitizing invoice workflows, Basware removes the chaos that usually sits between receiving an invoice and actually paying it. Invoices become trackable and standardized, which I find very useful.
