# What is the highest rated User-Generated Content platform for media and entertainment companies?

Media and entertainment brands need something different from a typical retail UGC tool: high-volume creator content, licensing clarity, and distribution across far more channels than a single ecommerce storefront within User-Generated Content.

Dash Social, PhotoShelter for Brands, and Insense came up most. Here's the fuller list:

Dash Social: 4.7 stars across 410 reviews, the highest rating here, explicitly built for consumer brands across media alongside retail, beauty, and fashion, with UGC galleries and creator measurement in one platform.

PhotoShelter for Brands: 4.3 stars across 1,103 reviews, manages over 6.7 billion assets with nearly 100 million downloads annually, trusted by organizations like the NFL for distributing content at that kind of scale.

Insense: 4.5 stars across 374 reviews, a vetted marketplace of 100,000+ creators across 35+ countries, relevant for entertainment brands sourcing UGC internationally.

Bazaarvoice: 4.2 stars across 809 reviews, built around verifying and amplifying authentic consumer voices at scale, positioned more toward retail trust signals than entertainment-specific content.

Adobe Experience Manager: 4.2 stars across 691 reviews, an agentic content system with brand governance built in, suited to large media organizations managing content across many sites and regions at once.

For media companies managing UGC at real volume, did licensing and rights tracking end up being the hard part, or was it actually just keeping up with the content itself?

Honest framing first: this G2 category skews heavily toward retail and ecommerce UGC (reviews, ratings, shoppable content), so a clean "for media and entertainment" pick is a bit of a stretch, worth knowing going in. That said, Bazaarvoice is the most-reviewed and widely trusted name in the category generally, strong at aggregating and moderating user content at scale, which could extend to entertainment audience content if that's your need. Yotpo and PowerReviews are similar, both well-rated but again more commerce-native. If your actual use case is fan-submitted photos, videos or social content around media properties, that's closer to a social UGC rights-and-curation tool (like the ones built for marketing campaigns) than a reviews platform, so I'd clarify that distinction before choosing. Are you collecting UGC for commerce (product reviews) or for audience and fan engagement around content? Those point to different tools entirely.
