What do you like best about Arctera Backup Exec?

I have been using Backup exec for over 15 years. The upside is affordability, especially for the small to medium-business market.

Besides the affordability, it is a reliable product for backup and restoring of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Arctera Backup Exec?

I have been using the software for some time, but it is not a very user-friendly product. Tape technology does not seem to be used in the future by BackupExec. This technology has saved me in the past from Cyber attacks. I hope that this technology will be reviewed for future products of BackupeExec. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most disliked things about the Veritas Backup Exec is the low transfer and data copy rate between the backup client and the Veritas Backup Exec server host, it's takes too much time to transfer 1TB over the LAN which is not useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the support of veritas, but they still need to add qualified staff; my last call wtih vetitas support went for more than 2 hours to resolve my issue, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Arctera Backup Exec?

Doesn't work well with large data backups, over 2 TB, as jobs sent to tapes tend to timeout and not back up data. Never really know if I have a good backup unless I restore it onto another device. Most backups jobs tend to be incomplete on large backups, and I have to cancel them; some run for 2-6 days, only partially backing up or without backing up anything.
