Ansys SpaceClaim is a useful software for general purpose Computer Aided Design. What is great about it, is that Ansys optimizted it for integration among its other software like Fluent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being a non-feature CAD software, Ansys SpaceClaim is not great for editing existing models. This means parametrizing a geomtery for optimization is not simple. This is a disadvantage for all similar tools using this approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As fast you can think with same speed you can make quick changes. This is not possible with other CAD software. It's not history base , so you can delete reference planes or other entity after purpose gets served. You can record scripts of your model and with litle changes you can create new model within no time.It's very much user-friendly and you can open any type of CAD files in Spaceclaim.Also you can fix /repair surface models with imperfect surfaces. Repair tool is very powerfull you can correct edges, surfaces etc. You can remove all interferences in one click.You can create imprints with special tab given. Creating solid bodies, subtracting them to create required final geometry model makes the things easy. Also the surface repair options like stitching, filling similar holes reduces repeating work. Also I love the way we can create 2D sketches and make 3D models from them. Very useful for cfd applications where inner volume can be extracted in comparatively easier way. Some times the stitching option doesn't work to merge to surfaces with small gaps. But over the time I learned some tricks to do it otherwise. Also some of the surface repair options don't work as per my expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The process to make geometry is so quick. With just few click you can make changes to you model. Simply your models from solid to shell or to beam. It so user friendly. Things like the load time of Space claim is more, like when you are trying to open it. I guess that could be due to lot of things to be loaded due the hepty GUI. If that can be brought down. SCDM would be the all in one undoubtedly the best package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
