Anaplan's connected planning is highly valued by clients worldwide. As a model builder, I have successfully implemented connected planning to integrate Supply and Demand, enhancing Inventory Management within Anaplan. In Finance, I have utilized connected planning for Cash Flow Management, Capex Control, EPS Calculations, and Consolidations within a single model. What do you like best about Anaplan?

Anaplan is a cloud-based application that can connect multiple cells and workspaces across different business use-cases and give a concise view of the KPIs. Real-time security is enabled with instant changing of roles, and access is possible in Anaplan. Excel cannot restrict individual cell access. What do you dislike about Anaplan?

The PowerPoint add-in feature is a little obsolete and unnecessary with the launch of the new UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan helps with different types of planning. I have been involved in Financial Planning and Analysis for four years now. I am assisting clients in moving from Excel sheets to Anaplan planning UX. Anaplan can have scheduled data integrations from external data sources such as Informatica Cloud, SnapLogic, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Docusign, Workiva, and Tableau. It has dynamic time scale implementation. Master Data structure – works on having one data hub with a single source of truth, build once and push multiple times approach. Pushing hierarchical changes across multiple worksheets is tough and error-prone. Easy for business users to adapt and easy to maintain. What do you like best about Anaplan?

The main problem is disconnection among different teams that are working in the same budgeting and forecasting processes, Anaplan provides a single source of truth that every users from different functional teams use Anaplan as the single platform to submit their budget & forecast, review & analyze their financial reports. "Anaplan for Public Sector"

What do you like best about Anaplan?

Anaplan is really flexible and adaptable to any organization! I have seen it used it across different industries for a wide variety of purposes (sales performance management, FP&A, etc). It's easy for non-IT users to learn, and it can be used to make processes much more efficient. The connected planning features are great - for example, a university could have their budget, long range planning, grant planning, etc. all connected in Anaplan.

Anaplan also is also continuing to update their platform and add new features, such as with its acquisition of Fluence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

While I like Anaplan a lot overall, it could have better ways of tracking licenses. There are also some minor enhancements that would help with usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The sales strategy felt overly aggressive, and there’s room for improvement in the account executives’ product expertise to provide a smoother purchasing and renewal process. An experiences and trusted advisor is needed to know when to choose pre-built Apps over Customised models, Standard Calculation Engine vs Polaris or other options.
