**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

I liked that the transfers were cheaper at first.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

I opened a business account with Airwallex to handle cross-border payments, but the operational support has completely deteriorated. My assigned account consultant went entirely dark, ghosting repeated emails over an extended period. When I attempted to escalate the issue through their standard help dashboard and customer support tickets, I was met with total silence and automated loops.

Airwallex functions fine as long as the automated systems work, but the moment you face a glitch or require human relationship oversight, you are left completely stranded. Trusting operational business capital with a financial platform where you cannot reach a live human supervisor is an unacceptable risk. Due to this total communication failure, I was forced to externally escalate this matter to federal regulators and manually evacuate my corporate funds to an alternative provider. If your business relies on dependable customer service and transparent communication, look elsewhere.

They are not solving any problems for me now.

  ### 2. A strong global payment and spend management platform for businesses

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

The best thing I like about this platform is it brings many global finance operations into a single ecosystem. Instead of managing multiple international transfers and multiple currency accounts, we can have corporate cards and online payments, along with expense tracking and billing separately. This gives us a more centralised way to manage cross-border finance and workflows. Their multi-currency account and other transfer features are very helpful for companies working with international customers, vendors or teams. Also, it supports global payment acceptance and expense management, which is very practical for both finance teams and all business operation teams. Their real-time spending visibility helps reduce manual finance work and improve control over expenses, along with the clean UI interface.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

This platform has many features, so most of the users may need some time to understand the complete platform. Businesses that need only a simple local business account may find this platform overwhelming. For teams with complex financial processes and onboarding, internal adoption is not that much easier; it is bit complex if it could be handled, that would be a great thing.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform helps us in solving the problem of managing global payments and currencies along with transfer cards and expenses across different tools or banking systems. This platform is useful for us to track the expenses and receive payments and hold multiple currencies across borders. Their main benefit is operational efficiency, where our financial team can reduce manual work and avoid switching between too many platforms by improving visibility over cash flow and expenses. This helped us in managing cross border payment more smoothly.

NOTHING AT ALL. They took away all my money and there's no response from them and no sign of return!

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

SCAM SCAM SCAM
Airwallex has frozen $4550 in funds and deactivated my account without any prior notice and not allowing me to move funds from airwallex to any other US BANK, even the other bank that is under the same name of the same LLC. AIRWALLEX IS SCAMWALLEX.
I am honest goodwill business owner with proper documentation and records but they took away all my savings that I used to run my house and feed my family.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing at ALL. They literally took away all of my money. They froze my account overnight without any prior notice to move out funds. Then they sent an email to move funds to another account for the same business with same name. When i tried that route it failed without any proper reason

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

Airwallex provides a clean and well-documented API that makes integration straightforward, especially for global payment and multi-currency workflows. I really like how easy it is to set up cross-border transfers, issue virtual cards, and manage different currencies within a single platform. The FX rates are competitive, and the developer experience is smooth thanks to clear documentation and reliable performance.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

While Airwallex offers a lot of value, there are a few drawbacks: the sandbox environment doesn’t always mirror production, which can make testing complex workflows harder. The account / onboarding / KYC process sometimes feels opaque or arbitrary — users report rejections or delays without clear explanations. Also, customer support can be slow or hard to reach at times, especially when issues arise with compliance or funds being held. Finally, for smaller transactions or lower-volumes, fees can sometimes feel high compared to some competitors

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airwallex helps us manage international payments, hold funds in multiple currencies, and reduce foreign exchange costs. Instead of relying on multiple banks and payment providers, we can use a single platform to send and receive money globally, issue virtual cards for our teams, and streamline expense management. This not only saves us transaction and conversion fees but also gives us faster settlement times and better visibility over cross-border cash flow, which is a big benefit for scaling our business internationally.

I like that Airwallex has lower fees than Stripe. It also integrates into Osome, which we use for incorporating our company and for accounting.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

Customer success is very poor. The system was not intuitive, and they shut down our account for processing payments after they accepted us. They were not reliable for us.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airwallex processes credit card payments for our company and acts as a bank in Singapore.

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

Airwallex is a bit more flexible than Shopify Payments when living abroad from the country of the business. The initial installation of Airwallex was easy.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

Everything else does not work, they are taking more than a week to unblock a payment just because I changed the location of the warehouse, and no one is answering. There is only a chatbot and you cannot communicate ever with a human, it is super frustrating.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Airwallex to collect payments from e-commerce. It's a bit more flexible than Shopify Payments when living abroad from the business's country.

Airwallex makes international payments super easy. I can send and receive money in different currencies without the usual bank delays or crazy fees. The interface is clean, and setting up virtual cards or local accounts takes just a few clicks.We can integrate esaily, proper api documentation, multicurrency accounts.

A few things could be smoother. Some features feel a bit limited, and support can be a bit slow when you need quick answers. Not dealbreakers, but worth noting.Nothing dislike, esay to integrate, good api documentation

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Airwallex for foreign exchange, sending money internationally, and handling multiple currencies. It’s made everything faster, cheaper, and way easier to manage. We can open multi currencies accounts and transfer money to them.

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

Airwallex platform is very simple to use and has helped us merge all our different providers into one place for Staff expenses, Corporate cards and international payments. Also by using the global wallets as our account on Shopify we have saved on conversion fees associated with Shopify payouts. Implementation was very straight forward.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

You are not able to order a physical card for a user who has a digital card already. You would need to create a separate card to order a physical card. Also these can take a while to arrive.

We are able to merge all our different platforms into one place as well as save on the transactions fees on Shopify for FX conversions

What I like most about Airwallex is how seamless and intuitive the platform is for managing international payments. The ability to send and receive funds in multiple currencies without excessive fees has made a big difference in our day-to-day operations at Tuning Bill. The real-time FX rates, virtual cards, and ability to hold multiple currency balances give us flexibility and control. The onboarding was smooth, and the user interface is clean and easy to navigate—even for non-finance team members. It's also been great to automate parts of our financial workflow, saving both time and manual effort.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

One downside is that while the platform is powerful, some features can be a bit hard to find or understand at first—especially when it comes to setting up more complex workflows. A bit more in-platform guidance or tooltips could help new users get the most out of it faster. Also, customer support is responsive but can sometimes take longer during peak hours. Overall, though, these are minor issues compared to the value it brings.

Airwallex helps us streamline our international payments and manage multi-currency transactions without the hassle or high fees of traditional banks. At Tuning Bill, we work with global partners and vendors, so the ability to send and receive payments quickly and transparently has been a major time-saver. It reduces operational friction and gives us better control over our finances. Plus, the real-time FX rates help us optimize our spending and avoid hidden costs.

Airwallex offers a powerful suite of payment APIs that are easy to integrate and cater to a wide range of financial needs.

Airwallex SDK makes it very easy to integrate their APIs with your application.

Consistent webhook events help tracking the frequency of payments and other insights.

Their technical support team responds promptly and consistently to queries.

The developer sandbox can sometimes be limited compared to the live environment

Reducing high costs and delays with international payments. Traditional banks charge heavy fees and take days for cross-border transfers. Airwallex offers near-instant transfers at competitive FX rates. Airwallex consolidates multiple financial tools like Payments, FX and Cards  into a single platform. 

Airwallex is helping my organization to support all its international payments in multiple currencies.

One limitation is that we currently cannot review a list of our subscriptions and the spend on subscriptions. However, we have been advised that enhanced functionality will be available in December 2025.

Airwallex still functions on a top-up process. So you will need to top up Airwallex account before using it as a payment method which is an additional step when funds run out.

I like how Airwallex Public API availability suite is so powerful and yet so easy to use. APIs are well-documented which facilitates ease of integration.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

Sandbox environment could do with some improvement. It's mostly good but there are cases when it returns insufficiently coherent response for inconsistent API request.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airwallex is allowing us to facilitate transfers between suppliers and traders on our invoice-financing platforms. It also avails capability for our institutional investors to directly invest on an invoice and receive payback from traders on our platform(TradeLyncs/TuningBill).

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

I tried Airwallex to manage my business finances and expenses, and created multiple currency accounts to make transfers. I found the platform fast and easy to use, and I didn't experience any security issues when I was using the platform on a regular basis. I tried reporting, contacted customer service and got a virtual company card as well. I found it easy to create new cards (physical/virtual). I loved the Rewards features, providing discounts with various service providers, such as Canva or Zendesk.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

When compared with Wise Business, Airwallex doesn't offer cashback rewards or savings for business funding. Also, I would welcome new features related to lending & borrowing in the future, as small businesses always need access to funding. There was nothing that I disliked in particular.

The desktop platform is pretty robust but I haven't had a chance to experience the mobile app yet.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business owner, I use Wise Business for business banking but I also tried various other solutions such as Revolut Business and Tide. I tried Airwallex as a business banking solution for my small business. I've set up accounts in multiple currencies and use the sending/receiving payments functions. I requested a physical and virtual card, and made payments with the virtual company card (I haven't had a chance to try the virtual card). I also used the reporting functions, to sort billing items and expenses, to search for items and label expenses.

The pricing structure changed after we signed up, making it a lot more expensive than when we initially switched over.

What I like best about Airwallex is its seamless global banking experience. The platform offers easy online account management, local accounts in 13 major markets for hassle-free international payments, competitive fees, and powerful integrated solutions like APIs and payment links. It truly simplifies global operations for businesses.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

What I like least about Airwallex is the mobile app. It's quite basic and lacks many options, which can be inconvenient for managing complex financial tasks on the go. Expanding the app’s functionality would greatly enhance the overall experience.

Airwallex is a great option for receiving and making payments to clients around the world. It offers some of the lowest fees in the market, making it an attractive choice for global business transactions.

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

Airwallex offers a really good and effective exchnage rate for paying international suppliers and to tranfer money between entities stationed in various countries. It's pretty easy and simple with less clicks and few steps until the final page. I like the integration and the ease of use. Thier after sales service and cutomer support is bang on, this helps a lot and resolving issues quickly.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

Reconciling Airwallex can be really difficult at time as it has various wallets and each wallet has it's own balance making it a liitle tricky when you are looking at it wholistically. It restricts connection to any othe software than Xero which is a big big downside and it then increases a loyt of manual import of data and checking. I understand that one needs to maintain privacy of the credit card the person holds but maybe they can get a new feature where assistants can take hold of everything going on the card.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that Airwallex is solving is that I don't have to check online for a platform who is provinding me a better exchange rate and is reliable. Airwallex is backed by Westpac and has amazing exchanges rates.

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

I really like how easy Airwallex makes handling international payments. The platform is super straightforward, and I love that we can manage multiple currencies without all the extra hassle. The rates are solid, and it’s nice to know exactly what fees we’re dealing with.

On top of that, the company cards are a game-changer. It’s really simple to issue them and set spending limits, and I love how we can tag and review expenses in real-time. Plus, it syncs perfectly with Xero, which makes tracking everything a breeze.

Also, the recent rollout of the Airwallex expense reimbursement feature has been so helpful for our team. It’s made managing and submitting reimbursements way easier and more efficient.

Overall, it just simplifies cross-border transactions and financial management so much.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike about Airwallex, but if I had to pick two things, it’s that Airwallex doesn’t have a per diem and mileage reimbursement feature yet. It would be great to have those features available to make things even more streamlined for the team. That said, I’ve heard they’re working on it, so I’m really looking forward to those being rolled out soon. Overall, though, it’s still a great platform, and I’m excited to see what’s coming next!

Airwallex is really solving a big problem for us when it comes to managing cross-border payments and expenses. It’s a huge time-saver because we can handle multiple currencies in one place without worrying about crazy conversion fees or long processing times. For our team, the ability to send and receive payments internationally without all the extra steps has made everything run a lot smoother. The company cards and expense management features have been a game-changer too. We can easily track and control spending in real-time, and the integration with Xero makes everything sync perfectly for accounting. Overall, it’s just simplified the way we manage finances, saved us time, and improved the transparency of our processes.

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

We’ve been using Airwallex for our employee expense claims, and it has truly transformed the way we handle expenses in our company. From the moment we began working with the Airwallex team, the process has been smooth and straightforward. Setting up, testing, and rolling out the tool was made incredibly easy thanks to their collaborative approach, providing clear guidance every step of the way.

Once we went live, the support we received was outstanding. The Airwallex team ensured we had access to all the resources we needed to address any concerns or optimise our use of the platform. They’ve been there for us from day one, providing assistance and timely responses whenever required.

The tool itself is extremely user-friendly, and our employees quickly adopted it with ease. It has significantly improved their experience, as they can now submit expense claims effortlessly, and the process of getting reimbursed is faster than ever. On the back end, Airwallex integrates seamlessly with our business, reducing the time spent on manual checking, auditing, and processing expenses.

Overall, Airwallex has enabled us to streamline our expense management, making it a more efficient and enjoyable process for both our employees and the business. We’ve seen tangible improvements in time savings and a smoother expense claim process, creating a much better experience across the board.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

No real dislikes, we've provided some feedback on areas we'd like to see for future. One being ability to access the app in Malaysia for our employees based there.

Ability to manage expense management with manager oversight and reduced touch points previously needed by both the People & Culture and Finance departments.

**What do you like best about Airwallex?**

Airwallex is one of the most useful and simplistic platforms for card and expense management. From back end administrators to cardholers, is it simple, easy and highly customisable to suit your business needs. This process was easily integrated into our existing accounting system and expense management. Additionally, the implementation to cardholders only shows them the information that they need to see with administrators having full access to a variety of information for reporting. Customer support typically replies within one day but has an automatic search on their database for FAQ that specifically relate to your query, which is often answered already.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

The set up/KYC can be lengthy at times. Consolidated reporting continues to improve but has a little way to go.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The receipt retention responsiblity is now fully shifted to the card user which has resulted in 99% of receipts being provided. Airwallex has automatic reminders built in for card users to provide receipts.

The accessibility of the pricing structure for early stage businesses is a Key selling point. As well as the quality of the product in terms of depth and breadth of offering. For a fintech looking to scale internationally and offer a high quality service it provides a fantastic option.

We want to process payments as part of loans offered to our clients. This needs to happen in an seamless and automated fashion as part of our product offering. Airwallex gives us that payment functionality that helps power our lending product.

The biggest impact that Airwallex has on our business is around the global payments and transfers, helping to make it easy for not only us as a business but for our customers as well. It integrates well with our current tools and systems. Airwallex also covers a majority of our regions in which we operate.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

Not necessarily an Airwallex issue, but within NetSuite, the tax codes that are overridden by NS, making this function around expense reporting a bit more tricky. As well as banking solutions not available in all our regions, yet*

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Airwallex is helping to sovle is making it easier for our customer to pay, where ever they are and thus enabling our finance team to efficiently reconcile their payments.

Airwallex customer support is shocking, they took and held up a $9965 USD deposit for over a month. It was a transfer from a Dubai Client and they stated it failed the risk assessment. It took 1 month to have it returned to my reputable client, then they closed my account which I had opened for over 3 years, to which still up and to including the time of me typing this review I have not received any of the money I had in the multi currency accounts.

App UI, UX is well thought. Fee is reasonable compared with competitors 
Easy to navigate the onboarding process. and the implementation were smooth.
Customer support was quick and responsive.

Airwallex will need to store your fund from my corporate bank to airwallex before making a transfer. This is different from Wise where all the transaction from bank to wise is require to match 1 on 1 with the place you are sending your money to.

If you use a regular bank, fund trasnfer from the corporate bank to recipient is 1 on 1 and transparent. This helps to track the transaction and it is similar with wise but for airwallex, the transaction of "bank to airwallex" is separated from  "airwallex to recipient" which make it more difficult to track the transaction.

If you consider airwallex as a bank and record all the  "airwallet to recipient"  transaction for the book keeping purpose like you do with your bank, problem will be solved but Im still unsure if this is possible. 

It will be a great tool if aiwallex can be an alternative of traditinal banking.

Making frequent payments to vendors in another country is very easy with Airwallex, and we get a more favorable exchange rate than many other platforms.  We use the platform multiple times per week and have not had many issues.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

The setup process was a little longer than I anticipated because getting approved for an account took longer than expected.  It also took a while for another owner to get access.  I like the fact that there is an app for iPhone, but the app does not have the ability to make transfers, which is exclusively the reason we use the platform.

**What problems is Airwallex solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to pay vendors in Mexico, and other platforms had much less favorable exchange rates.  The setup seemed very secure, and Airwallex provides a good platform for making these vendor payments.

I like that the company was robust in security matters when I set up the account, and I like the simplicity of making and receiving payments. It's opened up my company to domestic payments internationally, and actually does what it says on the tin.

**What do you dislike about Airwallex?**

I'd be more comfortable with staff being a little less "pushy". By way os example, I raised a question about an administrative matter, and got my reply, which was fine. I then receievd countless "follow-up" messages that were intrusive not helpful. But that's my only real concern.

Airwallex allows me to make and receive payments internationally without the huge fees that other platforms charge.

I like that things just work and I can get my important salary and tax payments done quickly. They also use a normal 2FA standard, so no extra app is needed.
